So, purely in theory, what happens if a non-Zed car joins the official drive? Let's say they tag along at the back, don't drive dangerously or otherwise in a manner unfitting of the club, but are clearly keeping up with the group on the basis that they want to enjoy the drive as well? Now, I know this looks HUGELY guilty on my part now for asking this after my last comment, but I'm honestly just curious. I have no intention of joining you guys & gals as I think we're at a wedding that weekend, I just thought it might be worth exploring to know the possible 'punishments' should this ever happen. Warning point? Ban? Lifetime ban? People have been banned before but that's because they drove like a knob. You mention the reason for the non-Zed rule is because of the Club insurance, which is perfectly understandable, but at the same time I can't see the drive out being cancelled just to prevent the limit being breached. Actually, what does the Club insurance cover on a drive out? I'd guess not a lot, since everyone would be covered by their road policies anyway. Probably a non-issue on that one. Sorry, quiet afternoon at work, my mind's just running everywhere. Feel free to split the thread and move to a separate thread to stop drift here.

That's missing the whole point. I don't want fake sounds in my car, I want proper noises made by the proper oily bits. Any use of fakery is a downward spiral, as all they'll do is then start making cars that sound so quiet on the outside but like a jet engine on the inside. Part of the fun of cars is the noise they make so other people can enjoy it, not just the occupants.

I dread the day when I have kids and I have to buy a car that is purely transport, with fun being right at the bottom of priorities.

So technically non-Zedders could book up and join you lot then? I'm kidding, of course.

No, I have 2k cash and willing to do upto 5k finance over 2 years Right, gotcha If you've less than perfect credit history, you're going to find the same issue with finance as you would with a bank loan as they all work the same way, so I don't think that's really going to help you bud Unless you've spoken to some specifically, that have already given you the go ahead based on your finances and that's why you've got the car specifics. Speak to Close Brothers Finance, they did mine on the BMW so will definitely take cars over 10 years if that helps

Silly hat rule. Don't put something on the internet unless you're prepared to hear both good and bad about it. I don't think anyone is arguing the effort or that it's clearly what Parello wants, but at the same time it was never going to be to everyone's taste so you have to accept the criticism and ignore it. I really love that colour, and I hadn't even noticed it had the Nismo mk1 kit so I suspect that kit is very colour-specific as my hatred for it on the Nismo cars isn't a secret, whereas I really like that. However the blue wheels do clash with the green, and the red lights are tacky as hell, but if that's what makes him happy then that's all that matters really.

Did you edit a bit out about having bad credit? My car is on finance, and that's 11 years old so I know that some companies will do it on older cars. Can you not just go to your bank and get a loan for the rest? That would let you buy privately then too.

I tried once. No go. Hey, go for it and see, one turned down application will make zero difference to your credit score anyway. Bearing in mind that credit card companies are being stricter than ever, I just can't see this getting off the ground.

You might have a great credit record, but with no income they assume you'll never be able to pay it back. If you can pay it back with savings, then they'll simply wonder why you need a card in the first place. Trust me, this is a non-starter.

Of course you can apply for a credit card if you have no income. They'll just turn you down straight away.

It's a bog-standard filter for Jap cars, tbh there's at least 10 that I can think of that fit, just depends on the capacity you want from it. The same one that fits the Zed fits the Impreza, the MR2, the Mini... Proven and tested Trust me, that's not your issue. If the filter fitted, then it's fine.

No valve on the Zed oil filter. It's just a plain ol' lump.
