  1. Nice You're right of course, a DSLR will give far more freedom with regards to DoF etc, but it's also stopping you creating something really decent due to the lack of recording speed. Maybe a compromise, get a decent video camera instead? Or even better, just get the GP and use it to add to your filming, not to replace the DSLR with it. Best of both worlds then, plus you have the GP for when you go drifting
  2. I only watch GoT for the nudey bits. I'm hoping that dragon lady gets her lady garden out soon.
  3. I quit smoking about 7 years ago, and have in theory saved at least £15K. I have no idea where that money is though!
  4. What DSLR are you using, then? For what you've done so far, a GP would've produced an equally as good finish whilst giving you more options when editing.
  5. If the oil level is fine, and the pressure reads somewhere over 0 on the gauge, then every thing is fine.
  6. I jest, of course. We were going to put up my old 55" one in the bedroom but it was just too big for the wall, as the door would've opened into it and that was never going to end well. Ended up buying a new LG 46" one dirt cheap from Curry's instead, seems to do the job okay.
  7. 50"? For the bedroom, I assume?
  8. It's true. You can test your site on Google too, https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/
  9. For filming? Yeah, easy. My GoPro pisses all over my D90 for stuff like that, as the Nikon just isn't designed for video.
  10. Think I pay about £85 pcm. Maybe I could get rid of the movies, but sod's law says that the one time I get rid of them... I need the sports for F1, and the HD package is a must. Multiroom too, which bumps the price up a tad.
  11. So 4th at any rpm then, not just 4500?
  12. Time for a new camera then! Should be able to pick up a GoPro cheap enough these days, even my '3 can do 60fps which would be enough to run at half speed and still look normal. I'd love to see you get some moving car shots in next time, I think you'd be very good at that
  13. Remind me what speed 4th at 4500rpm is? Not trying to start an argument over speeding, just trying to work something out. What intake are you running? Any codes? Cleaned MAF recently?
  14. Every time, every gear, every speed, every throttle position?
  15. Dodgy music aside that's pretty good. If I had two gripes, it would be that it's too long (half the length would be fine, I got bored and skimmed through some of it) and you need to pan twice as fast then slow it down in editing: As it stands, it looks odd with the well-shot panning gliding gently, then the people in the background moving at normal speed. Assuming you can't get the people out of the way, then pan quicker then reduce speed would work. I'd also like to see some height used in places, even standing on a small set of steps would work very well and give a different viewpoint. I'd also try using some different music, something you don't usually like can work well as then you focus more on how the two blend together, rather than just getting into the music. Maybe some '90s hip hop, '80s electronica or some '00s punk for a change? I don't like any of those genres either, so if you did that it wouldn't be for my benefit! Other than that, it's really good mate. Did it take you long to put together? What editing software did you use?
  16. I've seen it happen once, very odd to see when you're barrelling around and bits start falling off the car in front!
  17. Could've come off on track, extra heat made the wheels expand and the caps fell out. Implausible, but not impossible.
  18. In that case you'll get £5300, as otherwise it's betterment. Just show them the receipt, you'll be fine.
  19. If it was bought just 11 days ago, then the market value was set 11 days ago. I can't see them having too much argument there, as £6k is about right. What did you actually pay for it?
  20. Why not? The twin tips look much better than the ovals, IMHO. I'd do that if it were mine
  21. Yeah, figured as much. Sucks muchly dude, I feel your pain From your description it just sounded like that might be the case. Which insurer are you with btw? On the upside, you can take that awful sticker off the back now too
  22. First off, glad you're okay fella That's almost certainly going to be a write-off, looking at that. You'll need to check underneath for damage too. You'll still have to declare the accident on your other insurance too, so that's going to suffer a hit as well sadly. What tyres are the car on? On a lighter note, that first pic is the single most cringeworthy embarrassing photo I've ever seen on here!
