  1. I have it on good authority that the Black edition was shown at the Autosport show last weekend but the details (spec and volume) are not to be released until early February – 1st deliveries will not be until April. Sooo who went and who has pics?
  2. +1 - I think the mag are feeding you a line tbh, they obviously dont care about you or they'd have given you more details about whats going on. The garage wouldnt want to hold the car for any reason, unless they feel they have been short changed by something. Doesnt have to have been your car either, if they have done work on another and are owed money on that, they might be holding all of the mags cars against the debt. I'd let the solicitors scare the mag a bit into doing something, doesnt have to be official action, just a letter of intent.
  3. All the best chap, dont be a stranger See you back here when you decide to get a 370z in a years time
  4. Remember to clean the window properly before applying it. Mine was on for a couple of years before I caught one of the letters when cleaning the car. The new one has been on since the start of last year and is stuck solid still
  5. 27 now and had the Zed nearly 3yrs. Theres a wide range of owner ages, it appeals to all sorts. Us young-uns even let the oldies keep up (isnt that right Colin )
  6. I must say I come on here to escape the clap trap on TV, dont remind me whats on
  7. Thats why I'm asking on here! You get much better info off the press site, I might make friends with a few of the press managers and see what I can find out, I'll email them from work and pretend O2 want some cars
  8. What is it? Anybody know any details? Its new for MY10 and theres no Ultimate anymore. Been digging around the Nissan Press site, its interesting what you can find. Maybe dearlers should look at it every now and again! http://www.nissanpress.co.uk/press_site ... s/370Z.pdf ---------------------------- Update Details are in - not the offical press release, but beleive its as good as: Update - Official Nissan Press Release:
  9. I've heard Nissan do a "kit" in the States for it, but not seen one over here. For the seat airbags you need a 2.2Ohm resistor to bridge it. There is also a kit for the steeringwheel airbag to disable that when you swap the wheel. I find it hard to beleive the same couldnt be done for the passenger airbag. Maybe check out www.my350z.com . Its the US forum, they will know more
  10. Very adictive, good use of a boring afternoon
  11. Yeah getting there. Not that Nissan are doing themselves any favours. If it wasnt for all the friends I've made on this site, and all the great shows/drive outs we do, I would have gone to Porsche by now This might be the last chance I get to buy a new 2 seater sports car for a while as it might not be too long til I either have to go back to permie work and couldnt afford to get one new, or I become boring and want something more sensible Looking at the prices of cars on that press release ( http://www.nissanpress.co.uk/press_site ... 464nis.htm ) it does seem that the nav equipt cars are £1500 more than the non nav. So possibly suggests that the standard nav is now going to be this connect premium stuff. Either that or standard nav has gone up £100 too! Makes no sense if you have to buy nav then this on top, they should just fit this as the standard nav. Also doesnt make a lot of sense if this is going to be the standard nav from now on, why call it "premium connect". Usual messy Nissan I guess. Ho hum, wait for Nissan to get back to me
  12. Its like a trick shot! Took me ages to get the aiming right
  13. Yes its on the same press release. It coincides with the MY10 upgrades, which in the UK is just the connect pack, whereas in the US they get bits we already got, like heated mirrors and cabin filter. I really hope its not a £1500 option on top of the nav option. After all they are two seperate nav units, you have one or the other, so how they can charge another £1500 on top of the nav I dont know. But if it is £1500 vs £1400 why dont they just offer the one out of the GTR as the Nav package @ £1500. Shame as I really wanted the stuff it offers like higher res screen and better nav. I can see them making it the std nav at some point, but I aint going to wait for that to happen!
  14. Anyone know the deal with Nissan putting in the GTR satnav into the 370z as an extra? Took this from the 370z roadster launch press release My local Nissan know nothing about it - given it was released on the 14th of this month - thats not supprising. Reading the 370z US forums it sounded like we got this pack as standard already on UK cars and they got it as an automatic upgrade on their MY10 cars with Nav. It seems yet again, bloody Nissan GB is going to make us shell out even more money for it. Its quoted as £1500 and normal nav option is £1400. I have a feeling you will have to have normal nav as a selected option before you can purchase the upgrade. I have asked NMGB for a response, but I am sceptical. £2900 for GTR satnav seems very steep! Although its much better than the standard 370z one going by the US forums. The real shame is you could build a really nice custom setup for the price, but this unit (in the US at least) is fully integrated and can show all sorts of info about the car and control setup options, so a custom setup wouldnt do everything EDIT: This is now the replacement for Sat Nav in the MY2010 cars, but called Connect Pack as it does more than Sat Nav. It is taken from the GTR and has the same nav engine etc and costs £1500 to add to a 370z GT
  15. Surely you just need a Playstation account or whatever their online profile thing is? Play at a mates but sign in as yourself? I need to get onto that, after I got a PS3 for xmas You could get one from Argos, qualify and then take it back
  16. the race today will be interesting, it will have the 9 people who qualified form yesterday up against i believe 2 celebrities from topgear/fifth gear. and 3 racing drivers (think one is a touring car driver). (none of whom had to qualify yesterday ) the track layout is made up of concrete blocks and scrap cars. Think it'd be more fun watching it than entering it, sounds like it will make a brilliant race to watch!
  17. Doesnt quite sound like its worth entering if there are proper pro drivers there! Of course they will be better than everyone else Well done on giving it a go chap! What was the format? Were you just doing timed laps?
  18. Thats quite a bit more than Nissan quoted me to trade in my 53 plate UK GT. Take what you can get and run
  19. +1 and presumably you're car is depreciating which means you wont be able to pay off as much as the debts as you might like. Hate to always be sceptical, but if it turns out the garage beleive they are owed money, the mag might find it hard to get the car back before it all goes to court
  20. I'm sure Alex has you covered. Not really FI so moved to Performance
