  1. The cabin sound is definitely artificial and one of the first things I did to improve my GT86. I replaced the air intake that creates a better internal & external noise through mid-revs and deletes the cabin pipe. As for rear seats, they're not good for passengers really. Both my seats are hard up against the rear seats (I have had an adult behind the passenger seat but not really practical) and I find their best use is because they fold down and you get quite a lot of room (I managed to get a full spare set of wheels & tyres in the back when I did my first track day). I came from a 350Z to 370Z to GT86. You miss the power and the interior dash quality isn't as good but the GT86 has different qualities that make it a good alternative. I have upgraded a few things for occasional track use but gets used every day as well.
  2. I'm looking at a Scorpian exhaust and wondered if any other owners have them fitted and what they're like. Cheers, Paul. Storm White 370Z GT
  3. The Rotas only go to 18" with matt black, 19" with dark gunmetal but really want matt black. Will look up Z1. Cheers.
  4. Actually, I think they are Rota's, but they only do 18" from what I can see. They do have some 19" but not in the matt black. I'll ask them anyway and see what they say. Paul.
  5. Thanks for the tips. I think I'll look for new (bigger) wheels with the right offsets. Cheers.
  6. Hi there, After doing some digging about, I reckon I need to get new wheels and came across a site where you can drag a whole host of different wheels onto a picture you upload. Anyway, I want something like the picture and anyone know if any wheels similar available in the UK? I've tried Envy but they don't do full matt black, and not really the same style. Cheers, Paul.
  7. Hi chaps, I get my new Storm White 370Z GT in 2 weeks and I've recently seen some pictures of Storm White cars with matt black wheels and want to do this to my own. The question is: 1. Do I get my standard 19" wheels powder coated? 2. Buy some new matt black 20" wheels? I hear that the offsets on the standard wheels aren't great and really needs spacers on the back to look better, which would then suite getting new (bigger) wheels. However, where can you get 20" wheels for the 370Z in UK that will have the correct look? I've seen loads in the US but don't want to risk getting them sent over. As for powder coating, has anyone had any good results, and if so, anyone in the North East to recommend? Thanks, Paul p.s. the GTR wheels look good on the 370Z but where would you get some, other than Nissan?
  8. Thanks for everyone's kind words. Seems that Storm White is fairly popular, and there's me thinking there wouldn't be many! Paul.
  9. Hi there, Just a few words about me and my Zed's from snowy Newcastle upon Tyne. I started with a UK '93 red 300ZX Twin Turbo (chipped to 400bhp) a few years ago, which was stolen after only 12 months ownership and I always said I'd get another. (Un)fortunately I ended up with a company car for a few years but in August 2004 I finally got another, but this time a UK 350z GT in Azure. This is currently still my daily driver until the end of this month when my new Storm White 370z GT turns up - hopefully on 27th Jan. My current 350z is fairly standard apart from the K1 exhaust and private plate, and all of the 76k miles have been happily added by me only! Not looking forward to selling the 350z as it will be the first time I've sold a car (I bought a Triumph TR7V8 in 1990 and still have it) and the Nissan garage that is supplying the 370z only offered £8k for the 350z and I want nearer £9.5k. I'll report on the transition from 350z to 370z when it happens in a few weeks. Cheers, Paul. I've also added a pic of the TR in case anyone has similar interests as well (has 200bhp 3.5 V8)
  10. Fantastic. I'm awaiting the delivery of my 3rd - a Storm White 370z GT due on 27th Jan - just over 3 weeks to go! Currently got a UK 350z GT in Azure Blue that I bought new in August '04 which I will need to sell shortly - not looking forward to that but the Nissan dealer only offered £8k and wanted closer to £9.5k. I also had a '93 300ZX Twin Turbo (400bhp) a few years ago. Cheers.
