  1. Yup, they all do it, although every company I've ever had any insurance with have immediately honoured the new quote if you go online and sign up again as a new customer. Always shop around, and at the least get a quote as a new customer with your current insurer. Last year with Admiral, I got the usual renewal letter, did an online quote, called them up and the very helpful chap then said he could do better and knocked me another £75 off. I was absolutely amazed Will be trying Chris Knott this time around too now the missus is 25
  2. You made the right decision, Dodo SN is miles better than R222. Finish is quite similar but DD lasts ages longer. For the best finish preperation is key, so make sure you wash, clay, polish, cleanse and then wax. You want the paint as flawless and clean of contaminents as possible before sealing it with the wax
  3. No doubt why we get an oil temp guage rather than oil pressure one now Nissan America have confirmed that if the 370 is going to be used for track work then an oil cooler is recommended - and guess what, Nissan will want to sell you one ......... Although there are reports now from the US that some of the oil coolers they have been running dont allow the oil to get up to temp on the street and keep it too cold, even when its "bypassing" the cooler
  4. Thats brilliant! Using the door to get out had me in stitches
  5. +1 it should be noted that anyone displaying any behaviour even close to this at any of our meets will be banned from subsequent events and possibly banned from the site. Its reckless and dangerous, as Mark has pointed out - the "talented" drifter in this vid evidently ran out of talent at some point and wrote off the car. I'm all for using our cars as they should, but there is a time and a place. It doesnt have to be a track day either - going somewhere like a CarLimits airfield day, they are more than happy to let you drift around the course and it costs £45/day with nothing to hit within miles
  6. Thats fine on mainland UK, but when in the highlands of Scotland, Skye or IoM, you might be waiting a while Thats when you give Stew a call
  7. Right where we left him after the Hoon. Colin was showing him how to drive properly
  8. Thats far too cool for you old man You know you should do it, that looks very mean
  9. No jack with the GT pack car Colin, been discussed on the US sites a few times. Dont remember seeing an official answer from Nissan, I will see what I can find out. It is very odd though
  10. Dunno, not ordered it yet, waiting for a few answers from WLMG Are you going to buy it new or wait for a used one? The one I'm currently looking at would be new for arrival for Wales Just balancing it up
  11. Dunno, not ordered it yet, waiting for a few answers from WLMG
  12. I will speak to Mark when I am next in (next week) to see if we can arrange a "proper" discount. At the moment, he kind of does the best deal he can for each job off the cuff which can work out better than a blanket 10% or whatever. Glad to hear they looked after you, did you have a look around the 370z?
  13. Not to worry bud, MY2010 are available to order and the system is only £100 more than the old sat nav cost. Just make sure your dealership order you a MY2010 car so it has the right sat nav
  14. What he said! Sarie is just bitter as he wants a 350z as much as you do We are all just annoyed you dont have your car yet and nobody in the mag or garage seems to care I say we go blockade the garage
  15. Try Carlimits too. Andy Walsh is a great instructor and will take you through whatever you want to learn. Just make sure you keep your wits about you, he can be a bit of a joker
  16. Nice one Rich, you got a good handling score seeing who you were up against!
  17. What exactly the whole point of it was I dont know! I guess you could just look at it as a fun day out! Because no matter how much raw talent you have, you wont be beating trained drivers in the wet! At least RJN got some good business out of it and no doubt learnt a thing or two about the 370z Does that have everyone on it?
  18. Very nice! I think you'd have more fun with the RC cars though
  19. +1 when its done you'll want to put it in a glass case and admire it rather than drive it
  20. You need to sign up to see this, but if you know a fabricator this might help - http://www.350z-tech.com/forums/index.p ... topic=5521 Or theres - http://www.curtmfg.com/ - they make one but I believe you have to cut some of the bumper You wont get anything off the shelf in this country as its a very low volume car.
  21. I've seen it in the States, so it is possible. I forget the company that makes them. Some of the track nuts over there have tiny trailors with just their 4 wheels and jack etc on them.
  22. OK, so Nissan havent quite lost their marbles. After speaking to a very friendly chap at NMGB, it appears that the Connect Premium pack is the new name for the Sat Nav, its not just called Sat Nav as it offers a lot more, it is the unit out of the GTR and it £1500 all in, not on top of the normal Sat Nav. So although expensive-ish (not really for OEM nav) it does do all the bits I wanted WLMG in Slough also chased it up for me and got the same info. They called me back to let me know the same details. Kudos to them for actually chasing something up, much better than other dealerships I've been to
