Seems fair to me, same old problems, exhaust is too quiet as stock. Not sure if more delicate TC is better or worse. I quite liked the brutal 350z TC as you couldnt hide behind it, you knew when you cocked up, and it just kept you safe enough not to trash it. I fear with more delicate TC, lesser drivers can hoon around more without having to drive properly. Did well on the TG test track though

As the others have said, speedo's are allowed to over-read but not under-read. Most over-read it by about 10% to take into consideration of different tyres/wheel combos a manufacturer may put on the car, some will be closer to the mark than others. This is why coppers typically give you a 10%+3MPH margin on your actual speed before fining you. My Zed is about 5-10MPH out when going 100-140MPH.

Get good HFCs and they wont crack. Ask Adam@Z1auto, he knows which ones are best. With regard to HFCs/decats leading to loss of torque, I was under the impression this was only if you didnt have the car mapped for them. Once its mapped for them, I beleive you get the low end power/torque back again, its just the stock tune that cant handle them

You'd love it Col. If its the same as the one I did with Ben in his Evo, its open pit lane with all sorts of exotic and not so exotic cars. The format for his day was turn up at 8am for briefing, move out to the pitlane for it opening at 9am. From then out til lunch you just join the queue and get out on track as and when you want, usually we did 4-5 laps + cooldown lap, then back into the pit for say 15-30mins before heading back out. Same format after lunch until 4-4:30pm. Its a great day and the good thing with Bedford is there are no barriers to hit, loads of run off, and its a pretty interesting track, full GT being the best for the Zed. Its actually on that day I decided I wanted a Zed after seeing and hearing a couple around the track

Never looked at that end, only ever done stuff in the engine bay and suspension... Something that is easily missed if you're not looking for it. Didnt know if they had changed the design at some point. Sounds like its the same, well apart from now they dont supply the gaskets

I would say £20 is more than enough appreciation, I'm sure a few beers would have been good enough to show you knew it was a PITA

Depends on how long its been on the car and what condition. When I put the Nismo on mine, my gasket was fine to reuse. Its always a good idea to replace them, but not always needed. I know plenty of people that have swapped them without changing the gaskets.

ATM I like the pics of the 40th Quartz, but also like red, although I have it on good authority that there wont be a red 40th edition, which makes sense given its labelled as "Black Edition" here. I know it does have all the features I want as standard, but I will be shot if I repeat any of them before the press release is out, just hope theres one already built in the configuration I want otherwise its gonna be a long 4 month wait Mercedes do a black edition and its comes in other colours Spec list looks pretty good too:) Merc do indeed. We'll see what they say, cant see much else going so well with red interior Price differnce is ~£500 more than a GT w/nav but it comes with extras that you'd normally have to pay for, depending on what the final spec is like versus the rest of the world versions

Yup, Zele is lovely, but like all good tuning houses, its damn expensive I'm hearing good things about the standard engine though, responding well to breathing mods, like exhaust and intakes, which makes a good step up from the 350z!

Nismo is already out in the States, and again you will be disapointed. Pretty much just cosmetic changes and a few tweaks, best of all 350HP, but that can be achieved easily on a normal 370z with intakes and exhaust: EDIT: Thanks Mitz, does look nice doesnt it. Just waiting on the full specs as to what it comes with etc and availability

We have a winner Also known as the 40th Anniversary Edition in other countries That or a red one although its refered to as the black edition, is it in that new style gunmetal colour, with the red leather ? Thats the one. Limited run (in the US anyway), the colour is called Quartz, like a cross between gunmetal and black. Red leather, red callipers, fully loaded. This is of course based on the US version, UK spec to be confirmed next week I am told

Mitz will be able to get you the flywheel, just maybe not at the same price as Alex. Or I beleive Envy will be able to sort you out.

I dont know yet, because its down to two colours/specs, depending on what the official specs are when they are released in the next week Trust me they really arent very different in terms of spec and you will say I'm boring either way because I should have bought a Porsche

You'll see when they release them It wont be anything you havent seen already, just setting it in stone as its not officially been announced in the UK - or the full specs havent anyway (go look at the other thread I started about the 370z about the same time as this one and you'll get the jist)
