We were upto 13" when the neighbours and I all went out and tried to clear it from out cul-de-sac. As they werent predicting any more snow for us, we thought it better to be boring and clear it before it compacted and froze like last time More snow on Sunday now though, I wish it would feck off, bit sick of it now, getting cabin fever working from home!! Only bonus is the delivery man made it around with my shiney new Concept2 rower, but he did not look impressed

My Alloys ( http://www.myalloys.co.uk/ ) are the people you want to see matey, based in an industrial unit in Basingstoke. Tell them I sent you (remind them of my gold wheels) and they will look after you, might even give you a bit of discount if you give them a hint. I have never met any nicer people than Marion and Ron who run it. They used to run the local Chips Away until Ron couldnt do it any more after hurting his hands (as many detailers will empathise!). Just take a look at their gallery, they do very good work. As most people who I have spoken to about my wheels, I am anal with them, and they always come back faultless from them The main thing with powdercoating is to keep temps below 200C and not to do them too many times (ie I would only get them done twice in their life).

Very good, like the updates. For those struggling still press Ctrl + F5 at the same time, this forces a reload of everything fresh. No one send the seller anything, we want it up as long as possible, after all he might use them when relisting if he doesnt notice Maybe post it on my350z.com too. They seem to be "borrowing" EVO-Rs photos too

Good man Although what Mike probably meant is its easier (on your knuckles) to swap them with the bumper off... If its a JDM then you can do them quite easily without removing it, but with the UK, there are water bottles in the way and easier to remove it. I didnt fully remove mine to do it, I did it one half at a time and worked quite well, although was very fiddly and might have been easier fully removing it.

Thats some skill!

Not that as a mod I condone that behavior

looking for a decent monitor for my HKS camp 2
Chris`I replied to P15UL T's topic in 350Z Modifications
I read on my350z that you can get a CONSULT cable which plugs into the OBD port (they use the same connector just different pins, same as Audi with their CAN BUS). But it appears this is only for older Nissan models according to HKS website, not applicable to 350z's, so wouldnt worry. Back to the lag issue, I would expect that the response lag is down to the fact that (a) OBD is slow anyway and ( depending on the amount of readings on screen, the more you have the more it will slow down. Monitor refresh rates arent really applicable these days as LCDs dont redraw a picture as old CRTs used to, they are more dependant on their response times, but they will be quicker than the refresh of the camp2 especially as the output from that is over compsite which most likely being PAL is only 25fps which wont trouble a decent screen in the slightest. -
As Roo says, they are a pain in the butt. You cant put them on a dirty car, or the movement of it over the car with dirt will scratch it worse than just leaving it in the elements.

Yes thats Ians pic and they are even stealing it off his photobucket, they havent even saved it somewhere else! Get the Ad removed Ian, or change the pics but keep the names the same

Have to agree buddy. The single biggest difference I made to my car was machine polishing it to get rid of the swirls. I must say that of the different waxes I have tried, Dodo Juice Supernatural really did make the flakes pop a noticeable amount more. P21S (R222 or whatever) gives a nice wet look, but wears off really quickly, like less than a month. AG EGP is nice for protection but seems to dull the finish when layered. Preperation via polish and paint cleanser is key though

Chris, looks like the mixture in your SNOW FOAM is a little too thick m8 I think my car is rejecting the snow, its all slipped off the bonnet to a pile in front of it.

Count yourself lucky! You can have all the snow from Basingstoke if you like Usually dont mind, but our VPN is dodgy atm and any day when I cant get connected and work, I cant bill for, of which I had 2 before xmas Suck it up contractor - so it means you were only 3 times richer rather than 5 times richer that week. Drop some caviar off the weekly shop! I know I know, it really is a hard life Main thing that annoys me is it keep postponing my test drive
-
For some reason it didnt settle to well on the car. Went out over lunch and its well over 1ft of snow, maybe 14". I think Basingstoke and Reading got a pretty similar dusting

looking for a decent monitor for my HKS camp 2

Paul, when you say refresh is slow, how can you tell its the monitor itself? What monitor are you using? Most modern monitors will have a refresh far greater than the Camp2 can push out. Is the Camp2 using the Nissan CONSULT cable or just the standard OBDII one? The reason I ask is that if its just using ODB, the amount of times it can poll the ECU a second is quite low. This will mean the readouts (if you have lots of them on screen at once) will be relatively slow. I found that with my CarPC and having lots of readouts on my digi dash software. Cutting down the number of items means it can poll the ones you have left a lot quicker. If you get the CONSULT cable for the Camp2 (if you dont already have it), this hooks it up to the CAN BUS which is a lot fast (think of it like broadband vs dial up) and things will be a lot smoother. Also using proper sensors to replace the OBD ones will mean you get quicker refreshes too. -
Dont think I would wait this long for a prize and then show it on their stand! Hopefully you'll get it soon

Its all about exclusivity. The people that can afford these dont get them as they are a slightly better GTR, they get them as no on else can have them too
