  1. Exactly right. We want for sale threads to need approval, but due to a slight nuance in the software, it also means posts need vetting as well. We are trying to resolve this so please bare with us. In the mean time, you can always PM the seller
  2. GLWS matey, its a lovely car, shame it has to go
  3. Thats what I like to hear Mine have been on since you first sent them, holding up very well. As are the show plates with the large logos
  4. They should have done really. Others have been stung by this too, basically as it came into force at the start of this month, any car in the top tax braket that is taxed after April 1st has to pay it, no matter when you ordered it. When I ordered the Zed replacement, they pointed that out to me at the time as a friendly reminder that although I am ordering it before it comes into force, as it will be taxed for the first time after April, it will be applied. You could claim they didnt tell you about it and try to get the money back, but you'd be off on the wrong foot
  5. As the others have said, you'd be mad not to get a Zed, but we are bias Theres loads of female owners on here - known as Sprinkles - only a few post but we have a lot of lurkers too
  6. I'm sure it was around the time that you couldnt make plates with logos or without the postcode any more without putting the "Show Plate Only" text on it or something - I seem remember it was a bit of a last minute thing at the time? Maybe I remember wrong I got a pair of normal plates like yours about (without a border) and a set of 350z-uk.com show plates too. Edit: Careful what you question, the archives hold everything ... 7. Having wached this on Bluray today, I have to agree. 2.5hrs of my life that I wont get back. I can see it looks visually stunning, but even on a 40" TV and HD, its not that amanzing - but admitedly it would be on an HD projector. Plot is so thin its unbelievealbe. I would definately only rent it.
  8. Looking good bud. I have a set very similar, also done by your fair hands I beleive (just before the law change) We will need some 370z-uk.net show plates at some point I would imagine if you are up for it
  9. Exactly Stan. Its much harder to swallow when the car is only about £30k though
  10. Get in line Looks like I was 1st to ask in the thread, did you cheat and send a PM asking for adoption? This isnt the adoption thread. Have a search, there are many more where we have all filed for adoption from Jays parents
  11. Have you tried Infiniti next door Rob? They have amazing customer service, so worth a punt to see how much they cost. You could ask Gavin from Infiniti (Infiniti on here) for a quote - see if he can work something out for the club to help them build their name
  12. Its not £950 road tax, its £435 road tax and ~£500 one off "showroom" tax
  13. Google - show room tax - Jay. Its a new tax introduced this month for one off tax for new gas guzzlers. At least as a percentage its not a lot compared to how much your new car costs, as a percentage of a 370z its a lot more
  14. Nice one Mart. I'm on some time off too, everyone thinks I have brought the nice weather so dont want me to go back to work again
  15. Its all a front, it keeps the pikeys and theives away, kindof like a Bat Cave
  16. Also, lots of tyres (inc Falkens) have little triangles on the shoulders of the tyres (tops of the walls). The wear should be upto these, but not over it (onto the walls). If its over them, inflate the tyres more, if its not up to them then you can let some out Thats a good tip for daily driving too. I run with 35PSI as per the manual and the wear is a little shy of the triangles.
  17. Reading, reading and more reading Head over to http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/ and read their guides to machine polishing. The Zed paint is thin and soft, so start off with the least abrasive combo of pad and polish and work your way up. Remember that you dont know how much you are taking off without a paint thickness gauge, so just remove the surface swirls and you should be fine
  18. All sound advice. To add to that, yes, do not apply the handbrake when you stop, it transfers the heat from the brakes into bits that arent meant to get that hot. Take some wood if you can and chock the wheels when you get back to the pits, or just turn the engine off and leave it in gear. Make sure you do a good cool down lap and dont stay out too long when you are starting, if its open pit lane, just do a few laps and come in. Get used to the feeling of being on track and take it easy
  19. Will also take it to the team about getting usernames on the stickers too
  20. No one can save you now, not even the Admin dare take on Nix
