  1. +1 Where are the details of it?
  2. Any further update Matt? Was going to phone customer services myself. £4k is a p1ss take for a Sat-Nav upgrade. PM'd - hope it is of some help
  3. Hasnt the whole oil on the MAF myth died yet? I saw a vid from K&N once where they dunk a MAF in filter oil and it still worked afterwards. They also showed that at typical speeds you cant pull the oil from the filter, even at some silly speeds. I am sceptical about both sides of the arguement, but I've never heard of a MAF actually being proven failed due to over oiling. At the end of the day, if Apexi floats ya boat, they are all about the same, doesnt really matter, but dont let over oiling put you off using K&N or similar cotton filters.
  4. +1 do you have any close up pics? They look good from a distance in those pics, but how stuck on do they look closer up?
  5. T-Cut is just very aggressive polish, aggressive enough it can make a big difference, even just applied by hand. Rule of thumb with polish is always to start with the least aggressive and work your way up. You can always up the polishing power, but never step down once you've gone too far! What polish do you have to work with? Any access to a machine polisher? T-Cut will certainly work but may remove too much. Try with whatever other stuff you have first and step up to T-Cut if required. Just dont use T-Cut on the Zed, its far too agressive
  6. OK, its not a standalone ECU/chip change/daughter board change then - thats what I was getting at. Any idea what parameters can be changed on a standard ECU - ignition timing, injector etc? Search for UpRev, all the details are about. It depends on the year of the car as to what can be done - speak to Abbey or RS Tuning and they can tell you what can be done with your car. Theres no generic maps for these cars as the changes are quite minimal, so the safe window of operation is quite small I would imagine - not like most FI cars where they can generically map them and get good results.
  7. Far more than I dare list incase the +1 sees Current cleaning arsenal includes but not limited to: i4detailing snow foam CG Maxi Suds II (Dodo SN wash waiting when this runs out) Dodo SN Clay / Dodo Born Slippy Dodo Lime Prime IPA spray Dodo SN2 Dodo Red Mist Does do a good job though as hopefully people saw at ISTS
  8. Why not pitch it to them as a 2 stop trip, one central, one in Aberdeen
  9. Shame its last years one being repeated - if its the same thing I saw on Sunday
  10. How random, not seen or heard of that before. Sure one of the gurus out there will know what it means
  11. Maybe he is then. I'll set Martin on him, hes our in house Sherlock
  12. With regard to polishing, just use any polish recommended on here and you cant really go wrong by hand. The abrasives in them are so minimal, unless you are using a machine polisher, you cant exert enough pressure to work them in too much. Most also have diminishing abrasives, which mean as you work them, they break down, meaning you can never rub them in too much. Something like Dodo Lime Prime, by hand, you cant do it wrong Goes without saying that you should use a good clean microfibre cloth to remove it, and keep turning/folding the cloth.
  13. Well yes, but Liam is hardly likely to go to the effort of going somewhere completely new to log on is he
  14. I thought this was common knowledge. From what I remember, if the force who are running the cameras take some of the earnings from the cameras, they must be signed within 1 mile of the camera. If the force in question do not benefit from the camera revenue (ie it all goes to the government scheme that governs them) then they do not have to sign them. Also I beleive that to put them up, the stretch of road has to have been deemed hazzardous, which means 4 or more serious accidents in the last 3 years. And this applies to any part of the road within a 1 mile stretch. Thats what I was told a few years ago by a traffic copper I knew. The force with the horse box are the North Welsh lot. Was highly publicised when it was found.
  15. Chris you can't possibly track all the IPs that one user might use No but the forum software can Oh and I can tell you posted that from work too (well at least it looks like a work address)
  16. Dont see why the Police cant pay a visit and actually look at it Does he still park in that space? If so get it towed
  17. Can never aim too high Start with percentages, when you get no further that way, move to extras. They're desperate for business these days. Saying that they did call me and my missus a pair of hustlers when I ordered mine
  18. Aye took me a while to find it, and I've done it twice before! On the left hand menu, keep scrolling down til you see the PayPal icons. One is for membership and one for donations, you want the donations one
  19. No amount is taking the mick, just keep going til they say no Minimum of mats, you could push then for illuminated sills and maybe GAP insurance. Oh and dont forget a bit of free servicing. Aim high and see what you can get, they always like to think they have got a good deal too, so might have to give some of it up. Oh and when they whack money off, work it out as a percentage. Aim to get ~10% off
