  1. Dave, you miss the point, you need to strap these inline with the SC
  2. I havent done it this way around before, but when I have stuff come in from the States, they just invoice you and then you can pay via internet banking to their bank account or by cheque etc. I would say phone and ask, but we see where that has got you already
  3. Becuase its easier for us to batch approve posts (dont need to vet them) than it is to allow all ads to go straight up without vetting them, then having problems with the sales. An unfortunately glitch as Chris says, but as long as a user isnt out to make a quick buck, it works ok, as responses dont need to be instantaneous. Buyers can still PM sellers, so contact isnt lost
  4. I look forward to the "Dan told me to do X and now my cars broke" thread
  5. I can see from the logs that a For Sale thread was disapproved for not having a pic with the username in it, I assume this is the thread you created? The reason given was - A photograph with your user name and the item(s) must be posted at the time of placing the advert.. Quite clear that you need a photo with the username on it, usually on a bit of paper or card, to prove you have the items. Also quite clearly stated in the rules: If you need to contact one of the team, there is an Announcement in each section called "The Team". This has the names of the current team members you can contact. Also if you look out for guys with names in green or red, they are Moderators and Admins respectively. Repost the thread with new pics and we will approve it
  6. As long as he knows they are spares Good work Ian, look forward to seeing this in the flesh
  7. Well as its a drift car, I dont get much speed at all! But yes its quicker for sure, loads more torque as I can spin the wheels up at much lower throttle and the battery then lasts a lot longer as most of the time I'm on half throttle rather than full throttle on the old bushed motor. Do a google for ezRUN and Hobbywing. Hobbywing basically make BL setups for loads of manufacturers and rebrand them. ezRUN is Hobbywings OEM make, so they are a lot cheaper. I suggest you sign up to the relative forums for your car and see what the opinion is on there as you will need the right power ESC and right power motor for the car you are running. In general BL setups have bundles more torque and lower resistance so go quicker too.
  8. The EZRun was (is) held in high regard on the RC Drift forums for the cost. Some were hinting the fact it was exactly the same as the Team Orion one which was about £130 at the time I got mine. I havent put many hours on mine, but for £50 all in, I thought it was worth a punt
  9. As Colin says, you can get a Nismo oil cooler, which in itself does not invalidate the warranty, but as per any mod, if it causes a problem, then they wont pay out. It doesnt come with a thermostatic sandwich plate though, which is why they havent been able to get oil temps up. Over here you'd have to use a sandwich plate which allows the temps to rise before it diverts oil to the cooler. RJN would probably be the best people to speak to as they preped the FreeRACE cars. Any mod in itself like an oil cooler, intake, exhaust, etc, will not invalidate the warranty, but if its proven to have caused the problem, they will deny work on the part of the car it relates to.
  10. Now had you put that as your first post, you might have got some more serious answers You wont find many around here that run much over stock power to require a different clutch, so better go with what Alex suggests, or head over to my350z to see what they suggest
  11. Very politely put An exedy clutch and fidanza fly can take the torque a Zed has in NA form, so you dont need anything harder than that, you just need to learn to treat it properly, or get a 370z so it can rev match for you How many miles has the clutch done so far? Any clutch will burn out if you dont treat it right, all a "beefier" clutch will do is have more clamping force and thus hold more torque when released, it will not last longer if you ride the clutch or dont rev match/heel toe properly.
  12. +1 What made you think when the clutch was already slightly slipping that it'd be good for burnouts and doughnuts? Have you not seen enough stories on here when slipping clutches very quickly turn into dead clutches and flywheels? Sorry you do bring somethings on yourself bud, but you do crack me up Time to go cap in hand to Mitz and see if he can do some kind of finance scheme for you?
  13. Better make sure I leave a cone in my parking space then when I leave for the Saturday run Will be good to see a pro at it. I have read a lot on DW forums and know the basics, but always good to see how its properly done
  14. Sounds like a great prize for someone
  15. +1 to the above, the only reason you get a good car is becuase they expect the other side to pay out. Make sure the other side have admitted liability otherwise she might be landed with the bill. I was warned of this when I was given a brand spanking new Alfa Spyder as my courtesy car a year or so back.
  16. There's more than that, some of us are just more talkative than others. +1 its just the dominant ones that rule the place
  17. Do get funny looks of the neighbours though
  18. Chris`I

    made me laugh

i am getting good at this....
  19. Got pics of the rotors? Could help us see whats up
  20. I know how you feel being nervus, but dont worry. When I first joined, my first meet was JTS at Silverstone on the car stand. Everyone made me feel more than welcome and as they say - the rest is history. Make sure you get on the club stand, we welcome all 350z/370z, whether completely stock or madly modified, its nice to show the public just what can be done to the car, and that they look just as good completely unmodded too
  21. Check out http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/ - they have great tutorials. As the guys have said, use the foam applicator for the wax. I find that SN likes to be nice and warm when you apply it, so I leave the tub on the radiator or in the sun for a bit before starting. Then rub the applicator in the wax in a circular motion and it will pick up the wax. Next up apply it to the car, nice and gently, in a small circular motion. You will find that it will go on thick at first, but try to spread it out as thin as possible but still covering all the paint. Dont try to do too big an area in one go as the wax will chill and will be hard to apply. Now and again take the applicator in your hands to give it more warmth. The other option is to apply actually by hand. Rub your finger tips into the wax and apply to the car in a massaging motion. This takes longer and personally I find it a bit odd, but it does work! As usual take your time, try out what feels best for you. All you are aiming for is a small covering of wax over all of the paint. How you do it doesnt really matter so long as you get it on there. Remember when you buff it off, you cant even see it, so putting loads on just wastes it, try to apply it as thin as possile.
  22. I got one of these bad boys after being recommended it by the drift RC lads - its a cracking deal! ESC and motor for about 50 quid. Just make sure you read up on brushless and get the right number of turns motor as I think they have more torque than a standard, so you can run with more turns? I seem to remember thats how it works. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/eZRun-Brushless-M ... 563bb8132f
  23. Very nice vid, amazing what you can do with those cameras and a good eye! Looks much better than I remember on the day
