  1. Thanks Rich. Just wanted to point out that there were genuine reasons as to why it might have appeared that different issues might have been handled differently. The main thing is that we try not to do anything until the whole team reach agreement on said issue.
  2. Yes in hindsight it probably would have been a good idea to explain it better. Normally we rely on the good nature of the forum that we do things as a team and to trust us when we lock a thread that its for the benefit of everyone Many many big forums on the net dont even allow members to question moderating decsions, they simply delete any arguments about it. We like to think we are a bit fairer than that, and do like to qualify what we do where we can.
  3. I think that is a bit below the belt mate. From what I saw/heard Andrew always wanted to reimberse everyone he could. It was other family members that cut their losses with it all and stopped responding. I think Andrew grew tired of trying to explain this to everyone. Phil was a massive part of this community and is sorely missed. I have no doubt in my mind that if he was to make a full recovery and had the power to do so, he would personally refund everyone who was out of pocket. Didn't ask for an opinion, just stating a fact. Dont know what "facts" you have to substantiate the claim that Andrew was ripping people off, but please feel free to PM me with them if you have anything new to add. Andrew was not the one who chose to close the business or the one who controlled the businesses finances.
  4. The missing piece of the consistency puzzle, is which team members are about at the time to discuss things. When the Rik things happened, we had enough of the team in the team area to discuss it on the fly, ditto with Carbon Forza. With some of the Envy issues, we had heads up of it, so discussed it (or their consequences should anything happen) before anything was put in the public domain. We had no heads up on the issues with Mitz and John and as the team werent about, we had no other option than to lock the thread until we had a good number of the team comment on the problems. This is not helped by the fact that we cant assertain a single version of events as to what has happened, which means we are dragging it out longer while we work it out. I hope you can understand there is consistency in what we do, everything is a team decision. If there is anything border line, it will be locked or moved to a holding area until the team as a whole can agree what to do with it. We chose not to move said thread this time as its information to keep in the public domain, but we dont want it being convoluted by every Tom, Dick and Harry sticking their opinions in where what we need are facts.
  5. +1 plus we are constantly on the lookout for members that we feel have the right traits, have consistency in these traits and also fit in with the current team. Thank you all for the kind words, its very much appreciated by all the team

  7. Nice to see real life usage of the new Zed and how much he obviously loves it. Very happy I have held out for the new sat nav, its sounds like its a right peach from the write ups. I think this sums it up nicely ... No excuses for Southern 370z owners not to do the Jockland hoon
  8. A sad day indeed Dave, but one that has been coming a long time unfortunately. I hope you do find new found happiness in enjoying the car for what it is and not having the burden of trying to keep this place going, or organising the monster that is now the Wales run, which you have done excellently and I am sure I will not be alone in buying you a drink out of gratitude at the Wales run.
  9. and maybe get a slimmer instructor ? +1 Looks like great fun
  10. More importantly, how does it go around bends compared to the Zed?
  11. I think a few people had updates off Andrew now and again. Sure someone like Martin can try and chase them. Dont think they had any joy getting an update last time though. Hope the big fella is ok
  12. +1 I had mine done at his guys place, made a decent improvement to handling

Very nice, hadnt kept up with the progress and seen they had finished it
  16. I hit "Like", dont know what else to do to add you, cant see any other links like Become a Fan like I've seen for some others
  17. Not my car, but Amanda's Ibiza will be having a big detail this weekend hopefully - wash, clay, polish and wax. Mine was done for ISTS, so loving the easy wash of it atm with 3 layers of DD SN on it
  18. Also try searching my350z.com and seeing if they have seen it before. Much bigger community in the States so they see things more often than us.
  19. Which dealer did you take it to? Being in Reading, you can not only take it to KJM in Reading, but also WLMG in Slough and at a push West Way in Basingstoke to get a second opinion. Personally I'd get it booked in with Abbey though as they know the Zed very well. Theres also RJN Motorsport up Wantage way, which isnt too far either.

    Spiggot rings

If Sarah doesnt have the right size, try giving Andy at Kudos a PM (username Andy on here). He should be able to sort you out something.
  21. This is the problem with Nissan, so used to selling Micras which sell themselves, they dont know how to cater for the upper end of the market they cover. HPCs are much better, and Slough have been neigh on faultless with me, but others have been pants! The cost saving over Porsche is most definately made in the training of sales staff
  22. Will look awesome on your home cinema setup Chris
  23. Think the others have said it all, dont be a stranger matey. I like Chris love the tales of crime fighting, so make sure you pop back with them
