  1. Depends on how far you have to commute. A girl I used to work with had one and commuted about 15-20 miles a day each way it in and loved it
  2. Definately our sticker, not sure who that is though
  3. Looks like a great day and a cracking spot. Shame I couldnt make it in the end
  4. Tidied it up. So are you going to be doing the mapping yourself or is this just for a before and after for taking it to someone else?
  5. Dont get me wrong, I'm not saying stay away from other proper tuners, but proper tuners will be very forthcoming about tuning your car - like what software, piggy back or replacement ECU will be required. I always say to ask any tuner how many they have done and using what kit, its very easy to weed them out then. I say stay away from "generic" tuners in the ones that think they can tune anything but cant, like the ones mentioned above - said on their website they can do it, but when they really look into it they cant. I wouldnt want them trying their random software on my car. Of course Abbey and RS Tuning arent the only companies out there, but if all you want is a quick remap with the lowest cost and hassle, you are hard pushed to beat them, and they are very well proven
  6. Dont worry, you arent the first that these people try to fob off, pretty much all generic remappers are the same. Head on over to Abby or RS Tuning and for a bit more you can have a good, reliable remap.
  7. If money was the issue, he wouldnt be looking at an S2000. Its got to be the itch
  8. Nice one Dave, you should have really posted this after Wales though, and added in the wins from there too!
  9. Everyone gets that itch at some point, we just have to direct people to the 370z
  10. Sorry to hear you are selling up Rich, but for an S2000? If you've got the itch, you've got the itch though, I know what thats like. Thats why I got rid of a spanking new Leon FR for an older Zed, never regretted it once though.
  11. Rob, run out is the amount the disc moves from side to side naturally due to variance in the disc and hub. See the threads on DTV that Bennet posted, it needs to be checked a d the discs skimmed if it's too much otherwise you get DTV which I got on my last set of discs that I fitted myself. It tends to develop as vibration after a few thousand miles, made worse ifyou are a daily motorway driver.
  12. Yup nail on the head there - water based paints suck, full stop. You end up painting the car multiple times as its too soft and the clear coat is still oil based I believe. All that happens is the clear coat gets punctured and rather than the paint being able to take it, it breaks off and leaves you with primer. Orange peel is a major problem with water based paints and they are sorting it out these days, but the original Zeds were pretty bad. As for the 370z, it has self healing clear coat, but I'm not sure thats any good either, as it must be soft which means stone chips ahoy! I'd rather we went back to lead based paints that could take hits from proper stones and still be fine
  13. i reckon he's fitted a jet engine Nah flux capacitor
  14. Yeah I was amazed too, seems the power of them isnt too different. The big difference is how quickly they fade, non brembos don't last as long, but with the right pads and discs they are fine
  15. Its ancient but good, so will give you that, and hence why I am always asking these lovely members that get BBKs what investigation they have done about the size/no of pots in their kits to keep them balanced Its from when the car was released...
  16. Chris`I

    X or H pipe?

X pipe works best on the 370z, but theres not a lot in it. If a custom exhaust place is making it, I would go so far to say it doesnt matter which one you pick as they wont be doing any testing to get the right amount of cross flow, so neither will be optimized for the application. Just go for an X
  17. You big drama queen Jerry, leading us all on saying the Zed would be going Welcome back bud
  18. Fiddy lost to a woman Still you know your car is faster eh Dan
  19. I was standing quite litterally just out of shot to the right when that happened. Just caught it coming back to earth I would never do track time at JapFest, unless it was a Z-club only session as there are too many ^&$%$£ out on track
  20. Fair play to the bloke, that takes some big balls! Good use of Judo from a Judo expert there
  21. Bet you cant wait to add some more, its barely broken in
  22. As they say "if you have to ask - you cant afford it"
