  1. Yes we were very lucky with Bala, was expecting to have to park in the sports centre car park being near the back of the pack
  2. This should help Colin http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word/ ... 91033.aspx You need to insert a Drawing Canvas first then put the images/shapes into that, then you can group as normal
  3. We just all need military spec GPS recievers then we'd be sorted
  4. Another thing to remember is that IIRC all the different Zed spec wheels have slightly different rolling radius (radii?) and thus the speedo will read slightly differently depending on which wheels you have. With my Rays the GPS was ~2MPH faster than the digi readout, and that was ~3MPH faster than the speedo at 70MPH.
  5. I think the magnets are behind the foam Yes but between the foam and paint is dirt, dirt rubbing into the paint every time you take them off or put them on, and thats not a good combo with Nissan thin and soft paint
  6. Gps can be more accurate, but lots of things effect it. For purposes if determining your speed for driving nor ally, use the speedo, they are designed to overread as by law they can't under read so will always keep you safe. Saying that gps should be more accurate at speed with a good lock of satellites. The best combo is to use both like oem satnavs can using gps and speedo to calc actual speed
  7. What people fail to realise about these things, is its not about getting value for money for these people, they have more than enough of that, its about exlusivity. If you and your mate are both millionairres, 75k is nothing to get one up on them
  8. As the others have said, its pretty hard to beat that run, everything was spot on at a good price point, not too flashy (and expensive) not cheap either (as to put off the +1s!). Moreton were brilliant, always courteious and helpful - and I appreciated the side car park room so I could tuck the old girl up in safety The rooms I understand are being refubed at some point, but they were more than adequate for us. Sure they could have been nicer, but that might have pushed the price up, so was perfect for us. An ATM would have been good, but you could get money from the petrol station, or just bring it with you (as I did), and you were set. Routes were great. Bit of a long run out and back on the Saturday, but thats what you have to do to get to the good roads - so cant grumble. Sunday run was brilliant, was so good to be that close to the start as it made the day much shorter, which is more enjoyable really as I now see Saturday as the more hardcore drive and Sunday as more a cruise with good social side. As for next time, I think we will be hard pushed to better it. I know some of the +1s were asking if we want to make the Saturday the hardcore run, maybe we could involve them in arranging some activites for them to do while we are away driving, and then they will attend Sunday which is a more gentle drive. Quite cheeky, but I wonder if Moreton would allocate us the car park more formally, cone it off or something, so we can have our own little (or rather quite large) corner to keep the cars in so we are all together, especially if we fill half the hotel Overall it was fantastic, so even if nothing changed, I'd be more than happy!
  9. Dont mix tyre compounds as the others have said. The other issue you are likely facing, is that the rear tyres are the wrong size. If you post up front and rear tyre sizes then we can check that out.
  10. Yup, Malwarebytes should get it. Ad-aware is another good one to use. These things are very clever these days and antivirus really does very little to help you other than defend against the initial attack, if it misses that, then you'll need something like Ad-Aware to remove it. If all else fails, you'll need to wipe the hard drive and re-install everything agian
  11. Thats cheating, the garage that did the clutch will have had the exhaust and Y-pipe off, so it would have been dead easy for you! When I got my Nismo fitted, it was done at about 60k miles and they had to get the oxy torch out to remove the bolts As for the tyres, you will always get a bit of extra wear on the inside due to camber and toe settings, but that sounds a bit extreme. Get it down to a 4 wheel alligment place and get the geometry checked.
  12. Doesnt take a genius Surely you could just knock your own up, the dimensions wouldnt be hard to work out from pics etc. The ARC box I guess is a bit more difficult though!
  13. They have been an optional extra since the Nismo model came out - fitted from the factory if desired I agree though that maybe cooling wasnt the top of their lists when they designed the car. They seem to get a lot hotter than Brembos do on the 350z looking at the investigation the US forum chaps have done, but no where near as bad as C&D make out. Also no one State side has had a failure like them, and there are some pretty hardcore track guys over there.
  14. Very nice, but prefer it in quartz Immy
  15. Saw that on the US forums and it's full of so much crap it's untrue! Nismo pads were availabe long before they had their crash. Also find it strange why no one else who takes their car on track on the US forums has had this problem? They all experience fade before the pads give up so why did C&D not get the same? Sounds to me like they just mash the brakes time and time again until thy just gave up, trying to make some excuse rather than admit they ran out of talent. Admittedly the 370z brakes are a compromise, but like all cars you need to update the pads and fluid if you want to track it
  16. Problem was that next morning there was a fine layer of dust on all the cars - as pointed out by FakeIndian. So further cleaning was necessary!! (Or at least a wipeover!) Thats why mine was cleaned in the morning
  17. Yes K&N cleaning kit works on all cotton gause filters including JWT
  18. £13k Hers was sub £10k. She has driven the 370 now and did like it but didnt know if it was 3x as good
  19. Dont let Amanda see this, she loves her little Ibiza To be fair, its a cheap and cheerful car, and I thought it was quite chuckable, much better than a Micra or Corsa, but no way up there with a Clio. But then hers is the SC version which is a bit sportier 3dr with better interior, seats and suspension.
  20. I beleive they are waiting on a WAGs section to be set up so they can arrange their own entertainment at the next Wales Run
  21. This really is a good one, was brill last year, nice weather, good spot, great people to have a laugh with. Was why I posted up the pics too so everyone can see how good it is
  22. HPCs are well worth the visit if you are close to them, the tech/service staff know their stuff much more. WLMG in Slough have just become a HPC too, so had quite a few GTRs to play with when I was last down there
  23. Shouldnt this be in the wanted section? May I suggest the Kestrel DA6 from i4detailing.co.uk? Its just as good but quite a bit cheaper. Have used mine to do my old 350z about 4 times and the misus car too, and its never missed a beat
  24. Yup, got mine from Halfords, they do it as cheap as any other Dont go OTT with the oil, but make sure its has a thin covering over the whole of the filter.
