  1. Yup All I was getting at is that ram air isnt very effective at the best of times, so any claim to be semi ram air will make faff all difference unless you are doing 200MPH+
  2. You still get one for more than 350 posts, just need to PM M13KYF to claim it
  3. Wouldnt imagine it would die, most (if not all) throttle back on overheating these days, its just more the fact it will add more heat to the surrounding components which wont be as good with dealing with it and might kill them earlier
  4. Can appreciate that, and while the actual content of the site on load doesnt look too risque, the adverts on there are a bit too much
  5. Now now chaps, keep it on track please, family forum and all
  6. Good work bud. PM'd you the link to the dash file. Only thing I'd watch are the core temps as you've OC'd it. 1.6 Dual core should run everything easily at stock speed. Velcro is also fine, I have mine secured in the letterbox cubby between the rear speakers with velcro. If you get the chunky stuff, its really strong, stronger that the glue on the back to stick it down Careful you dont use too much as it seriously is stronger than the glue on the back!
  7. Get down to the post office and see what they say. Legally, if someone at the address signs for it, they will class it as being delivered and their end of the deal is done. Whats the buyers feedback like? If its crap can you not pull out and relist it?
  8. Well good luck getting any ram effect out of it. While I agree there could be a slight pressure increase at speed, its not a proper ram air intake. When sportsbikes started using them, they were proven to be pretty minimal and that was on high revving engines that had the air traveling straight into the intake and through a filter into the engine, with minimal amounts of bends. Our intakes have far to many bends for ram air to be effective.
  9. Yup be careful of the cameras, they have quite a few of them around Japfest. A few years ago I went in convoy and they were pushing on a bit too hard so I slowed and dropped off the back of the line. Needless to say a few miles down the road was a camera. Hope none of them got caught
  10. Don't like his skanks in the last pic either... More than enough to make me vote for Ian
  11. The stock airbox/intake is nothing like a ram air intake. Yes it is a cold air intake as it takes air from outside the engine bay, but its not ram air
  12. No need to cut the grille. If you have a UK car (not sure if its the same for JDM), there is a removable plate on the air box side of the lower grille. Remove this and you can afix an intake tube to where that was fixed. Job done. I did this temporarily with my pop charger and it lowered the IATs by maybe a degree, but help heatsoak a lot by dropping the temps quickly from a standstill.
  13. Make sure you bleed them in the right order and don't let the resevoir run dry! Once you get air in it's a sod to get out. And make sure you check the runout, might need to get the discs scimmed if it's too much.
  14. TGM? Other members have used and highly recommended them +1 I can vouch for their work quality and wish I lived that close On the other hand TGM are probably glad I don't as I would be forever noseing around +2 - get it down to Tom and the gang, they will know more than your local Nissan dealer about 350z, they service enough of them from here now!
  15. Aye, user name is Sarnie! Shhh, they're not meant to know Stew
  16. Tis a repost, but not one I've seen for quite a while!
  17. Incuding the pressure washer and foam lance?
  18. Sure there will be a bit of both, espcially from Ian
  19. As soon as my car left the allignment place when I had it done, it instantly felt better, noticably more precise and just felt more planted and direct. I know a lot of others had the same feeling when they had theirs done, so dont be put off by any vague feeling, I do beleive there will be something at the cause of it, and its not just how the car is. My car tramlines quite a bit, but does not drift, although it will follow the camber of the road slightly if allowed. Keep working at it, if you go methodically, you'll work out what it is and be happy when its solved
  20. One of the best places then. MLR must have a mahoooosive stand then this year to get moved, not sure where too, maybe they have a field of their own For those that have never been, its a very good place to have the stand, very prominant and close to the track and entrance to the track Oh and you wont be able to miss it when you come in the gate, its right by the entrance.
  21. Out of my depth when it comes to specific suspension/steering components I'm afraid, but it does seem to logically point that way. ZMANALEX would be a good person to PM. You seem to have gone through things logically, so I'm sure he can quickly help you through diagnosing the problem with your garage
  22. Sounds to me like its pulling to the left rather than drifting to the left. As you suggest above, even when the road cambers off to the right, the car goes straight ahead and not towards the right hand side of the road, which suggests it is fighting the camber. If you have had allignment done on a hunter system, it would point to something being either worn or the allignment wasnt done right. Did they do a full geometry check or just the basics? As I found on my car that it pulled slightly to the left (not as bad as yours), and it was the rear wheels that werent straight, they both pointed off to the left. If your allignment guys thought the rear was straight and true (as can quite often happen), and they alligned the fronts off that, then the tracking will be straight, but the car wont be, if that makes sense? They base the "trueness" or straightness off the rear wheels and assume they are dead straight, if they are not, it can cause your problems I think. If all was done right in the allignement, then some suspension or steering parts may be worn. In that case, its best to wait for someone like ZMANALEX or Abbey to comment, as they will know more.
  23. yup, they forgot to activate it, and exactly the same that happened here!! lol I thought the merc one was a set up, it didnt work in the fog or something, so they cheated and set it up so the driver would hit the brakes when he hit a small piece of wood indicating to brake, but he didnt get the timing right
