  1. We'll get you using some proper stuff one day
  2. Dont know where you have heard that mate but I can confirm Abbey can remap the stock ECU +1 - given that they both use the UpRev system
  3. Number 5 for me Got your work cut out there Marky. Clearly yours is the best Zed, but some of the others are up there too. Good luck bud!
  4. Oi - I only post up the interesting bits
  5. They do need protecting more than any other colour. For some reason reds always seem to oxidise a lot quicker than other colours. Just need to keep them topped up with wax and give them a good polish now and again
  6. Probably Dan! Have a check in their section of the forum and ask Andy what his latest deals are! Yup well spotted, Andy always has deals on.
  7. Theres a great marketing con if you ever saw one! Carnauba wax is harder than concrete in its pure form, so you cant ever have a wax thats 100% carnauba! maybe its 100% pure canaruba mix in it? Maybe To be fair I think it can be 100% by weight or something as the other bits they add weigh sod all. Something like that, still a marketing con though!
  8. im screwed not sure what im staring at Read the FAQ
  9. It doesnt replace your car Colin, it protects it, like a hard case for your phone, this is the Zed eqivalent
  10. that kind of comment annoys me (nothing personal bennett ) there is nothing wrong with being sensible sometimes. just because the car goes fast doesn't mean you have to drive it like it has a bomb in it. i like to get the most out of a tank sometimes, especially on long drives, if you have the money to **** fuel up the wall then congratulations, but some of us have other things to buy... like mods for the car i must admit as costs have gone up i am trying to be more economical. budgets get tighter so you have to tighten your belt sometimes. +1 - coming from a biking background, I find it fun to try and keep my pace up through the twisties too, rather than fly in, slam on the brakes and hammer it out of a corner, far more rewarding I find to try and keep the pace up and the lines smooth and not touch the brakes much. Keeps your MPG up too as its constant braking and accellerating that will burn most fuel. I find with the torque of the car, you dont need to rev it much at all, I honestly tend to drive it like a diesel most of the time getting to and from work as its boring roads, so whats the point in revving the nuts off it? It can quite happily go everywhere between 2-3k revs if you are just cruising.
  11. That wont work, as the idea behind 3D is that each eye needs to receive a different image to the other. The screen displays 2 images slightly differently and each lense of the glasses masks one and allows the other through, just as you see in real life. I hope its just a gimmic as I cant enjoy it, and it will be a ball ache to watch them with glasses and get no effect! expand on that stereo eye thingy? I dont get what u'r talkign about. You mean magic eyes or stereo vision? Magic Eye relies on the viewers ability to merge the image from the right and left eye. When this is done a secret image is revealed. See the site that Rich links to above to see how it works in their FAQ. If you dont have stereo vision (ie vision that merges the image from the left and right eye), they these dont work. Equally the 3D effects in the cinema dont work as they work on the same principal. Technically I have mono vision, always having an image from either my right or left eye, and I have such control over them, I can pick which one! If you want me to freak you out, come see me at Wales It does mean technically I dont see in 3D, but your brain gets used to it so I can compensate for distances in most things, but stuff such as a flying shuttlecock, I always misjudge
  12. Dont worry the Red will still be soft, just maybe not as soft
  13. Jay, can you do those magic eye things? The reason I ask is I know I dont see in stereo vision, so 3D effects dont work for me either. It wasnt until I had my squint done for the second time when I was 16yrs old that my parents finally beleived me that I could chose which eye to look through and they have very independant images (I "use" one or the other, never both at the same time). Therefor these images that rely on the eyes blending the image from both to form the illusion never work. Wonder if you dont have stereo vision either? If you cant do magic eyes, that pretty much guarentees it.
  14. Theres a great marketing con if you ever saw one! Carnauba wax is harder than concrete in its pure form, so you cant ever have a wax thats 100% carnauba!
  15. I've got a panel pot of supernatural and was told to put it on very thinly. I've only used it once but the pot has hardly gone down at all. I reckon I should be able to get another 2 or 3 coats out of it easily. Should easily last a few goes over the car, if you only did 2 coats every few months, I've heard it will last about a year. I have the full pot, have had it for a good couple of years now I think and its still half full! As Shuck says, apply it really thinly. Remember you cant even see it when its wiped off its that thin, so you just want enough to make sure every bit of paint has some on it, doesnt have to be thick at all.
  16. Rich dont use Lime Prime (even light) after each wash. You are needlessly taking off any LSP by doing that. While LPL doesnt have any abrasives, its still a paint cleanser so will strip wax I would expect.
  17. This is pretty mad! A clear 370z model is used to show how oil travels around the engine. Actual advert: Making of advert:
  18. They look great in red, it was my colour of choice before I saw the black edition in quartz
  19. Sounds like it will be the case. Although if wax is still present it will still sheet, but it should still bead up if water is sprinkled over it. By the sounds of it though, you saw it before and not after, so likely you have washed it off. What shampoo are you using? Is it a megs wash? That should be LSP safe. So maybe try a lower concentration, although it might just be that the liquid wax doesnt last long. I know when I used to use P21S, it too was soft and needed topping up every 2 weeks or so. Dodo Supernatural lasts way longer, 2-3 months before it really needs a good top up.
  20. Crickey, they're big! What size discs are they on the front? Are you not concerned about throwing the brake balance way off having massive stoppers on the front and OEM on the rear?
  21. If the insides are bald on the front, are you guys running the Bridgestone RE040s? There was a known issue with them for feathering a wearing the inside tread off, all sorted on the RE050s or just different tyres in general. If not, then you have too much toe on the front and its scrubbing. Get the allignment sorted and it'll all be good.
  22. +1 - megs will be LSP safe (last step product - wax/sealant/etc), so used in the right concentration, it wont strip the wax, so you could wax once a month depending on the wax you are using. To wax once a month, you'd need a decent wax, and not a soft liquid wax. Anything from Dodo will do the distance.
  23. We're going to need to steal the MLR usual spot at this rate, we're only 10 shy of them, they have a 75 car pitch, plus their MLR bus
  24. I'd take Mitz up on that offer mate, only takes 5mins to stick her in the air to be sure nothing has gone wrong
