  1. Just an update. Had a foot of snow on the car and driveway this morning. Wiped it off the front and rear windows, started the car and off I went to work without any problems. Started snowing heavy in Leeds early morning so the buses were stopping at lunch time. Everyone, and i mean everyone in Leeds centre decided to leave work early and head home before it got too deep for people to be able to move. Took my partner 2 hours to get home in her Ford KA because of traffic, took me 20 minutes because I took short cuts up the roads that most cars wouldn't be able to manage or people were too scared to use Good old Scooby PS. here I am playing in the snow last night
  2. is that how it is... well i managed to use my sledge this year. wouldn't fit in the zeds sorry excuse for a boot last year, not that it mattered because the snow was deeper than the ground clearance on a serious note though. loved the 350z and found it really hard to find an alternative that was a little more economical without losing the power. scooby is pushing 400bhp and still gets 28mpg around town, never managed to get the zed above 21mpg and that only ran 276bhp. Zed even hit single figures on a proper run only problem is that i now have to refuse to give people lifts rather than them not asking
  3. should have got a scooby. 28-30MPG with more power, seats and boot space. plus 4WD i looked at a john cooper special but they use a lot of fuel especially since you have to drive them that bit harder due to the power drop. even driving eco they're not too great especially if you get the older one with the turbo. think the newer supercharged ones are a little better.
  4. How're all the 350z's enjoying the snow. I remember having to push mine many times last year but I don't appear to be having any problems with my new car
  5. GONE.... PART EX I have a 2005 340bhp Impreza STI now.
  6. Thanks I have made some amendments including adding new pictures and a few videos that people may appreciate.
  7. Hi there. I just wanted to get your opinions on the price. I'm relatively new to the whole selling cars privately thing. I've had it advertised in various places for about a week now with NO enquiries at all. Just wondered if I'm expecting too much or if it's just low demand for this type of car? I thought the pricing was reasonable but maybe I'm wrong, good to hear your opinions. Don't worry about insulting, thick skinned. Thanks Chris
  8. Cash required for a house deposit which is my reason for sale. Partners forcing the sale otherwise I'd keep. ** REDUCED ** - £11,500 - Members only - £11,995 for anyone else 2005 55reg Blade Silver 350z GT Coupe (UK Spec) - £11,500 > 44,000 miles > GT Spec so usual Black leather seats, Rays alloys, Brembos, Cruise control etc... > FSH mainly Nissan dealers with all paperwork > Full Service (K&N Oil filter, Pipercross panel air intake & Platinum plugs all replaced plus oil obviously) & MOT completed late January 2010 > Front tyres replaced for Bridgestones April 2010 so barely used (only 1500 miles) > Rear tyres replaced for Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta at beginning of July 2010 (400 miles ago) > Front brake pads replaced for Brembo uprated pads at beginning of July 2010 (again 400 miles ago) > Rear brake pads replaced for EBC Red Stuff yesterday 27th July > All paperwork and 3 keys, 2 electronic and one emergency key > Official 350z splash guards fitted by Nissan November 2010, see pictures Passenger side front alloy has a minor scuff from before the tyre was replaced. I have factored the repair of the alloy into the price. I can get it repaired prior to you collecting the car if you like but you will need to cover the cost (approx £50). This is an unmolested example in amazing condition. Should be priced nearer £13k but I don't mind if it's going to a good home especially if it's a club member. Pictures and Videos below Pictures - including front and rear tyre tread Videos Starting The Zed Up Walkaround My Zed Virtual Test Drive (of sorts)
  9. Worth mentioning that because of tax and national insurance. If you're a 20% tax payer you'd need to earn £6403 to cover the £4580 after tax and national insurance. If you're a 40% tax payer you'd need to earn £8311 to cover the £4580. Chris WTF!!!!!!! So my Z costs me £18,000 in untaxed income?? Around that mark. Glad I didn't work mine out before I bought it. Like my misses says "If you can't afford it just get a better job", womens logic. By the way, how's the Blueflame? Any louder than stock with HFCs? Looking for something louder with good gains but not as loud as the K1s or Buddy Clubs. Chris
  10. Worth mentioning that because of tax and national insurance. If you're a 20% tax payer you'd need to earn £6403 to cover the £4580 after tax and national insurance. If you're a 40% tax payer you'd need to earn £8311 to cover the £4580. Chris
  11. Insurance: £700 annually with Roadside Assistance Tax: £245 annually MOT: £35 annually (mate in the business does it cheap) Service Parts: £100 annually (free labour) 2ish sets of rear tyres annually: £500 1 set of front tyres every 2 years: £240 Petrol: £240 monthly (20-21mpg) Yearly it costs £4580 to run plus depreciation on top Chris
  12. yes i've spotted a lot of his posts during my searching but i don't think he's anywhere near me. his posts seem a little biased, sounds like he enjoys his ears bleeding with the sound. Chris
  13. thanks for the response. have spoken to a few people and spent the majority of my working day searching the forum. i think the buddy club is going to be uncomfortably loud day to day. puts my plans back but i guess i'll have to wait another couple of pay days so i can get a nismo exhaust and berks hfcs, they sound good as a combo. nismo with standard cats doesn't sound loud enough. cheers chris
  14. Has anyone around the Leeds area got a Buddy Club exhaust fitted that I could come and see? There aren't a lot of vids on the internet for this exhaust and ideally I want to know what it sounds like when cruising on the motorway in the cab which there are no videos for. Funky Power have it for £634 delivered but I really need to hear one properly first otherwise I could end up buying something I couldn't live with. Also I have seen a comment somewhere about having to remove the original heat shields for it to fit, I won't pretend to know anything so could someone clarify this for me? Can the UK standard just be swapped for the buddy club? Chris
