  1. Didn't realise you provided that kind of service
  2. Never heard of these kind of problems when just changing a steering wheel, unless yeah your clockspring is knackered Any thoughts @ZMANALEX?
  3. If it was definitely straight before the swap then you must have put it back on a spline or so out, just take it back off and adjust.
  4. 1. Stutopia x2 2. Kev T 3. Jack94 4. 5
  5. Shame you're a bit far from me. If you decide to post let me know, I'll have the undertray.
  6. Just remove the battery first and you'll be fine. Removing the throttle body is perfectly safe, it's moving the butterfly valve inside (which there's no need to do) that can cause problems.
  7. Are these prices for collection? If so whereabouts are you located mate?
  8. +1 for Tayna batteries, used them a few times and their service/prices are always great
  9. The drivers seat has electric tilt and forward/backward movement. The 2 knobs adjust the angle/height of the bottom cushion. The passenger seat has electric forward/backward movement but manual tilt so you can quickly get to the glovebox behind the seat.
  10. Sounds like a good setup, the only other thing I'd reccomend is a decent drop in air filter (HKS, K&N, Cosworth etc) if you haven't already got one. That's as far as you can go really without thinking about engine internals or FI, both of which as you've already mentioned are big money. As long as you get the remap done soon after all the mods are fitted there shouldn't be any negative effects at all, other than your car won't pass an MOT obviously. If everything is stock at the moment you should see a nice power increase.
  11. Glad your issue is sorted, but bloody hell that's worrying how they left your subframe bolts. They sold you (very expensive) parts you didn't need and gave your car back to you in an unsafe condition... And people wonder why I'm so against main dealers.
  12. Had mine fitted in August 2018 and haven't had any issues. Still looking great, no leaks & passed 2 MOTs.

    Nismo wheels

Beautiful. They're going to transform the look of your car
  14. Looks great, definitely agree rolled tips are sooooo much nicer. This has got to be one of the cleanest zeds in the country!
  15. If you don't want rasp I'd avoid decats, and I can't imagine a different Y pipe would make much difference on its own. Have you considered HFCs? They'd give you a bit more volume without the rasp, free up some extra power and should be MOT friendly.
  16. If the decats can accommodate O2 sensors you can try re-fitting them with some spacers, but the only guaranteed way is to get the car remapped to turn them off.
  17. From what I understand after a quick look on here (someone please correct me if I'm wrong)... Our cars have 2 washer tanks, 1 each side behind the front bumper. The RH one has 2 pumps- for the front/rear screens & the LH one has 1 pump- for the headlight washers. I'm which case you could either have a blockage in the pipe or the pump motor might be dead. To test the motor just put 12V to it, and to test if the pipe is clear just try blowing some air through it with an airline.
  18. True there's a lot of cowboys out there, which is why I said take it to a reputable independent, not just any old one Totally agree that it's about trust, I just have yet to find a trustworthy main dealer
  19. I agree with your point @coldel that servicing is very basic work that any half competent mechanic should be able to do without problems, but the bonus driven pay-scale of main dealerships means they're always rushing so are more likely to make mistakes or miss things. Also sure you might only take your car in for a service, but this could end up highlighting additional (not so straight-forward) work that needs doing, personally I'd rather be somewhere where I can trust them to do whatever needs doing no matter the complexity. I'm not saying that a car with a FMDSH wouldn't be as good a car, I just think if you can get a better service for a cheaper price why wouldn't you.
  20. If there were 2 cars for sale, identical except the service history- one from a main dealer and one from a reputable independent specialist, then yes I would.
  21. True it may command more money with some buyers, but I'd argue that having a full independent specialist service history would command just as much from other (more informed) buyers. Plus you have peace of mind during your ownership that you're getting an honest, professional service apposed to a rushed job and people trying to overcharge you for parts/services that you don't necessarily need.
  22. Totally agree with you @Bunning, I've never understood why people get so hung up on having a full dealer service history
  23. This might be a crazy idea.. But how about taking the car to someone who actually knows what they're doing and won't rip you off, like Abbey motorsport or Horsham Developments?
