You need O2 spacers. Fitting these is a straight 50/50 chance it may set your EML off, it may not. Many live with the EML light until they get them mapped out, by doing the pedal dance to reset the ECU. I fitted HFCs before xmas and it tripped the light almost straight away, took them all apart and refitted them along with the pedal dance and so far no ECU light. 350zs have a learning ECU so any performance modifications you have will make no difference unless remapped.

Hiw can this be such a common thing though? Thats what I find baffling. People are spending 15, 20, 25 and 30K upwards and something so routine at any dealership is being overlooked! So much for "servicing"

If we're being honest, im of the opinion that if someone or a company doesnt want me to see something, theres typically a sinister motive involved somewhere. I can safely say every garage, tyre place, bodyshop you name it has let me in, shown me around the workshop and even in the case of one, a wheel alignment shop, let me assist in helping. Dont get me wrong ive never just invited myself in but I have always asked for the absolute no thrills honesty when its come to my vehicles. I remember one MOT'er passing my MOT depsite having two broken studs, condition being it was booked in with them for the work to be done and driven gingerly home, which it was on both counts later that week. The one garage I never trusted and the car was taken there and came home with a huge dent, to which they denied all knowledge of. The answer was "well you modify your car, how do we know you didnt dent it yourself". Yeah, right. I do see where they can be coming from, liability insurance is a nightmare at the best of times but id be annoyed at best that a garage had disconnected my dashcam. None of mine do, because trust is a two way street.

Sitting there over analysing it all and looking through pictures etc is self destructive, but we've all done it. You're not a lap dog, you have feelings and emotions and you do not deserve to be treated like a toy that she puts down and picks up whenever convenience suits her. Holy price hike batman! But aslong as they were the same as the HR models then Id pay that. I do have a few conditions mind you, 1.) LED strip lighting, not bulbs like they originally were 2.) Same plug and play functionality 3.)+ this one is more of a request but would be worth asking. Any possibility of the case not being smoked. I have a set of genuine clear reflectors here, how cool would they be if from the side they looked like that still but had the DRL functionality? Stick me down for a set.

It could be that one of the slider pins or padd plate (I dont know the technical name, but its the piece of metal that sits above the padd under each pin under tension) isnt seated correctly, causing movement when braking. I found that when I reassembled my calipers that id positioned it incorrectly. Easy job to sit there and reassemble everything ☺

Developed a blow at one of the flexi joints not long after fitting which was a shame. The new manifold is 2.5 compared to the 3inch so I hope that doesnt cause any issues... Noted dude! Will get the bodyshop on the case though so if they mess it up, they can sort it lol.

I have to agree with everything ive read so far, so many hammers and nail heads here. If I may echo what others have said, as hard as it is no contact is the way forward. I will freely admit after breaking up with the EX i hankered after her and to see the two kids for a good year, and still do every now and then. There was a comment here about how it effects you, and honestly I feel like my soul has been dragged through a catcus lemon juice filled pond. I cant go into all the details of it because frankly its too long, and there are some bits id rather not repeat. You've given it your best, and dont forget that. Its not your fault whats happened. Give yourself a pat on the back and remember that. As cliche as it is, it'll all happen at thr right time when you least expect it. Chin up!

Id be inclined to say they help to a certain degree if you have an open filter cone. Heat soak seems to be an issue and under bonnet temps seem high on these But all of the above is totally useless if you're using the standard air boxes. Id say it would probably be a very small advantage on an NA car

No offence intended Adrian, but the preface DRL's are ugly as sin IMO. I think that if they were redesigned for prefacelift you'd be onto a winner, and as far as im aware the only seller of DRLs like that. If they ever do get redone, let me know!
