  1. No. I can honestly say it sounds complete garbage and is probably the dumbest thing ive ever come across. Sounds nothing remotely like any aftermarket exhaust I've heard and I cant believe you're actually considering this. Thats enough internet for one day.
  2. Lets put it this way. You're doing this simply as a noise test, because you dont want to spend X amount on a branded aftermarket system because you may not like how it sounds? So, with that in mind, we know that changing the air box changes sounds aswel as Airflow. Would you run without an airbox at all, completely open throttle body? If your answer is yes, then im out
  3. No apologies to be given haha. You've asked a question, and some answers have been given which you do not agree with. Thats the way talking about things works! Also to read that those of us who disagree are ignorant and spreading speculation... REALLY dude. Youve been given plenty of reasons not to do it, yet are ignoring them. Recuring theme here. Be grateful this isnt CivicLife back in the day. You'd of been spit roasted alive and never forgotten about it.
  4. Have to agree with Ekona. Its an exhaust leak, not an aftermarket system. Any well known branded exhaust will have gone through some kind of R&D (the extent depends on the brand) for how it'll fit, sound, high and low tone, frequency resonance and more. Given the location of where you could do this, and I stress that you dont, would be either the end of the Y pipe or at the backbox. Either would make the car sound awful imo. Ive seen some ghetto mods, but this is one of the dumbest...
  5. None of the pictures load for me in that guide
  6. The same can be said for Hondas DC5. It was a toss up between a DC5, an M3 or a 350z when I was looking and well here we are. As much as I loved Hondas, I just couldn't justify 7-10 grand for a front wheel drive 2.0L NA thats had its prices pumped because of the "scene", which funnily enough I was there at the beginning when mimms was at a servicr station! I have noticed a droo but then maybe I paid a little too much? I paid £5800 for mine a year ago with FNSH and 62K on the clock, im second owner. One thing thats worrying me slightly is the affordability of these, I can already see the barely post pubescent teens armed with topknots eyeing them up with daddys money. Then itll all go to @*!#, Hondas are a prime example.
  7. ITEM: Japspeed 350z Y pipe and OEM Centre Pipe CONDITION: Both are 9/10 having covered at max 5K miles before being removed for a complete system. No damage to either except the smallest amount of fraying on one of the flexi joints, but does not affect performance in the slightest. The catalytic converters ends are a diameter of 2.5 before reaching the collector which becomes 3" diameter. The OEM pipe is 2.5" the entire way through. I am willing to split LOCATION: West Sussex POSTAGE / COLLECTION: Collection only. PRICE: £100 for both or £50 each, please PICTURES:
  8. Holy @*!# that was close Davey! If youd had done anything differently, even hesitated for a second he'd of wiped you out...
  9. It is a male dominated environment though, thats the thing. So far nixy is the only female to have commented on this thread, probably because shes the only female whos logged on in a couple days where as the majority of us visit daily, so you can see how it would come across as one sided. However that being said, I totally agree with you that regardless of gender, treating people, especially significant others is not on in any way shape or form
  10. I didnt mean that at all Jetpilot, youve misunderstood ms. Its biased because theres lots of stories about how men have been treated and none vise versa, because my point stands, there are more fellas then females on here! Im sure Nixy has some stories to tell that are equally bad!
  11. I think thats half the reason Nixy, it will predominantly feel biased and one sided because the majority here are guys, because thats the nature of our passion. You're in the minority because you're female, however thats definitely nothing to be grumbled about, we need more female car lovers like yourself! Lets be honest if this was a female forum the tables would be reversed! I dont know you personally, hell I dont actually know anyone on here personally yet because ive not been to a single meet, but I can safely say its not personal nor is this aimed at brandishing all with the same brush. We've all been through the mill relationship wise one way or another, and im not denying for a second that guys arnt as bad, because they are and thats just an out and out lie. Everyday visitor or not, we're all part of the same great hobby and thats 350s!
  12. Unfortunately nowhereboy some of us did get to read that before the edit Honestly I get everything youve said, and while I understand and did exactly the same, it needs to stop, NOW. That type of over analysing only thickens the fog completely, when in reality she sounded pretty damaged in the way that she treated people. While admirable what you did for her little boy, you arnt his Dad and to expect so much of you early on is not fair. It takes time. I fell into this trap too and getting out is like dragging your nuts over razors. Just let it go, it wasnt you that was the issue. If you were all the things you said she'd of never entertained you.
  13. South coast dude, about 17 miles from Brighton so this is right on my doorstep lol. Its currently at rear bumper, boot lid, spoiler and front bumper..
  14. Over 12 hours apparently... Ill be getting mine done at Abbey at some point...
  15. Getting mighty close and I still need to find a bodyshop to spray everything...
  16. Nissan quoted me £2200 for the full timing chain works...
  17. Will never understand how people think that type of behaviour is acceptable, and to treat someone like that is just straight up savage. Why I've been single for two years now!
  18. As said, mines front lip. Check my thread aswel as I had one before I stupidly sold it
  19. Everything gets pi**ed by lowering hence why you need a geo afterwards. But theres only so much the standard suspension will give you before you stress it out. A 30mm drop is quite a drop, buddy of my ruined his Z by doing 30mm. Drove awfully and squeaked and clattered down the road
  20. Id say it definitely couldn't hurt to get some camber arms. My old Honda was on the floor however it had a full suspension set up, camber arms, toe arms and the tyres looked as good as the day it was done. Ive read that with anything over 20mm they start to struggle alignment wise. Why put all that extra stress on your joints Do it right first time, do it once.
  21. Before Docwra has a meltdown, id like to jump on his drum set by saying its a possibility that you have padd transference, which is a build up of residue from padd to disk, typically from sitting with your foot on the brake after coming to a stop. Ive had this recently and suffered an audible clonk under braking and pulsing through the pedal. The car had recently been in the garage so I think they took it out for a "roadtest" and gave it a kicking I took all padds out and roughed up the faces and disk with sandpaper, before cleaning it all with brake cleaner. Once reassembled and under advice from Ekona, I went on to do rebedding in, which went something like this 5 x 50-30mph light stops 5 x 50-0mph medium stops And on a private road obviously 5 x 100-0mph hard without ABS stops This cured my problem albeit with a stack load of dust after the run! To warp a disk you have to be going like bat out hell. For the sake of the thread I have MTEC drilled and grooved disks with normal Brembo padds, HELL braided lines and dot 5.1 blue fluid. Squeaky around town but stop very well and when hot even better
  22. Your pictures are terrible Id go and sit in the corner and think about what youve done! Showing no decent side shots, blasphemy! Although, you've made me want a set. Well played Sir
  23. I cant wait for the new DE DRLs. Then ill get excited
  24. Having spoken with Frank alot (black 350z) I personally feel his Z is an absolute gem. Genuinely a down to earth fella with nothing but time for the community wherever people are from. Both are stunning imo
