  1. Would definitely say the aboves true and ive noticed it, used to get hounded left right and center in the old Honda. People tend to leave me alone in the majority of the time which suits me fine Wish Id have more pleasant experiences with the police though. When I first got the car i was pulled over religiously. One copper even said to me "how does a lad like you afford a car like this?' Considering id done about a years worth of night shifts, made me feel pretty crappy. His face when he found out it wasnt stolen or loaned etc with modifications declared was priceless though. Congratulations you played yourself
  2. My 1/16th scale Tamiya King tiger 1/6th scale Killzone Hazmat Trooper and 1/4th scale metal HotToys terminator Sorry to thread jack just soo good to see im not the only one who loves big boys toys! We should create a "Cool toys" thread on here? Got plenty to post including my tanks too!
  3. Never in all my years did I think I'd bump into another RC tanker! I used to be well into this with a 1/8th scale panther, and a 1/6th scale panther. Did you get this from Mark 1 tanks? I used to know those guys well and be a part of the UK tank club. Still have my Tamiya king tiger stored safely away
  4. Have to admit I really dont like country roads, especially at night time due to the Zs poor visibility. Theres all of petworth and surrounding areas around me that I use regularly heading up to camberly and I hate it. Tight, narrow and blind bends to boot combined with people wanting to fly round them. Had a couple "races" in the Z, funniest was with a fiat punto with cherrybomb exhaust. Before it broke again I had a play with an R35 on my home on the duel carriageway. Both of us just sat there doing various pulls making as much noise as possible, certainly got alot of looks while grinning like a Cheshire cat
  5. After alot of talk and umming and aring, are you happy fella? Id hope that you are. They're just such different animals. Make sure you read up on oil gallery gaskets, theyre known to fail depending on your year of 370z. Looking forward to the build
  6. How do you wire these in on a 350z Chris? Any guides out there or members who have done it?
  7. I have one, cant post pictures as on my mobile but have a look at my buikd thread an youll see
  8. I was servicing mine at the time and removed the Airbox completely all the way back to the throttle body so I could access that bank kf coilpacks. Near the throttle body there is a little tube that connects underneath to the airbox tube, that was simply kinked Sadly it was one of those too simple too see scenarios so it ended up costing me £65 just to be plugged in to the diagnostic scanner and out the door 20 minutes later. Thankfully the garage took pitty and just charged me for the scanning and not any time lol
  9. Thats the engine light I bet you, you've kinked either the little hose at bottom of the airbox or where it meets on the trottle body if you moved it that far. Thats all mine was and it set the MAF sensor off lol
  10. Not wanting to go off topic but that boggles my mind. You've got greater patience then I have, id of gotten triggered and probably kicked off. People and manners seem to of taken a drastic decline
  11. Fiver says its the maf sensor. They're really delicate on the airbox. Had this very situation when I removed mine to do a service
  12. Either the cat heatshields or the ones on thr manifolds. You can remove the cat ones easily enough but the latter is a bastard to do
  13. I could almost cry at this comment. Finally im not alone in thinking like this. How dare I get angry for your inconsiderate child costing me money! And worse still you not having the decency to correct them! Im afraid the majority around here are of that ilk... where a whacking great SUV is needed for the school run when its rained slightly...
  14. Have to admit that thought had crossed my mind but then again its not the first time I've had someone hurl abuse in the same car park. Zs do seem to attract them
  15. Have to admit I had this a few weeks back. Admittedly I had parked in one of the child bays bht there's at least 50 of them. Was a woman with a ruddy great land rover in the next bay and a horde of unruly children. Dont get me wrong Im grateful to not have children yet but do have views on how I'd raise my own As I came to a stop and switched the car off she walks around the front of the Z and smacks the bonnet and says "wheres your ****ing badge". Looking back I dont think I've ever gotten out a car so quickly with both barrels loaded. I tried explaining that I was tired with people damaging my vehicle's which I work hard for, to which I got told I was a selfish ****er for having a nice car. My reply and final word as I walked away was "why do you need a land rover. Are those estate speed bumps really that big" (Where I live is pretty densely built up, not much country etc) No doubt someone will judge!
  16. I havent no pal. Was meant to come to your grasshopper meet but the night before I witnessed a rather horrific car accident that then spiraled further out of control. To cut a long story short I witnessed an audi doing 65mph + in a 30 before rolling several times. Was 3:15am before I got in so wasnt feeling the early start Located in Littlehampton Pal
  17. We followed that religiously guys. Even down to setting up a timer to count the 5 seconds accurately. Had no luck and if anything made things worse Id definitely recommend changing it Pal, had them on my last cars and they give a much nicer feel, same for brakes, but would I recommend that you do it? No chance. It seems that bleeding these is an absolute ballache, save yourself the hassle like I should've done and just get a garage to do it Mine will be going down tomorrow at the expense of a trailer too
  18. So as those who've got me on facebook have seen I've been progressing slowly with all the small details that id like on my Z I managed to get a tan leather interior which has transformed being inside the car for me, absolutely love it I then managed to get a JDM indicator without the foglight, cant say how much the red square used to bug me! I then purchased a set of Hamish's LED rear numberplate clusters. These have made a great difference to the back! Before with just bulbs After with his complete units And then just a couple pictures after a wash. Its currently broken again as we couldnt get the clutch to bleed. Down the shop tomorrow! Lots more to come when funds and Xmas allow!
  19. Am 24 (3 weeks off 25) with mods declared, 8k milage, commuting to and from work and kept on the driveway with possibility of being locked away in a garage. 5 years licence with 5 years NCB, and I paid £550 which I was ok with (it is my first RWD and ive only owned it just over a year so I let it slide this time) Somethings wrong with the price you're paying?
  20. Nice to see someone as bonkers as me when it comes to detailing! Shame that black is such a notorious colour to look after as they definitely look the best. Be careful with the machine polisher, nissan paint is woefully thin and it wont take much to burn through! Check my build out, got competition on the detailing
  21. Posting this here in the hope someone can show where im going wrong before I finally snap and set fire to my Z happily singing So this evening we decided to install my new Hel Braided clutch line which ive had sat in the spare room for the last 6 month's. No real reason other than the OEM flexi line was leaking at the Banjo end. Clutch appeared to work fine, semi high biting point with the common Z dead zone Everything went fine, line on and locked in place with new banjo bolt. Topped the reservior up, pumped pedal 15 times and cracked open bleed nipple on the slave cylinder, fluid coming out and reservior slowly emptying with the smallest amount of pressure in the pedal. Nothing. Pedal limp as a fella in a nun house, normal we thought. Repeated this process 5 times increasing pumps to 25. Nothing At this point we suspect blockage, undo banjo bolt and leave to gravity bleed. Fluid pours nicely out so doubt that. Connect everything back up and we try pressure bleeding back through the system as air will always find the highest point. Nothing. Every bout of pumping the pedal builds the slightest amount of pressure, once bleed nipple released that pressure drops (obviously) and the pedal shoots to the floor and WILL NOT return. I mustve pumped close 400 times tonight. Had to limp the car home with just enough pressure that it does engage and disengage the clutch but driving is difficult as the pedal will not return to its natural position One thing to note is that we tried this clutch adjustment rod behind the pedal, didnt seem to make any difference apart from the fsct my biting point is now right at the bottom. Help please
  22. I came from a B18'd SiR EK pal that like yours, was modified to the nuts. Might've not had the most horsepower but it ran rings around so many things on a twisty B road. It was glued down As been already said they are completely different driving experiences. I never feel truly relaxed driving my Z compared to the civic as I find the Z a real handful because I dont trust it in the corners. I dont know if it's slightly worn bushes or just me (It is my first RWD but ive had it over a year now) but I'm always conscious about it biting me Dont think for a second though that means I dont like driving it. I LOVE it. The sounds these cars make, the looks they get and the comments. Personally Id recommend you try and test drive one before you take the plunge. I miss the Honda, definitel. But would I go back? Not a chance ☺
  23. As far as ive seen all Zs have some kind of rattle from the clutch when switching off, and from what ive read its to do with the duel mass clutch. Mine rattles so I just depress the clutch everytime
  24. Do 03-05 VQ35DE engines have these oil gallery gaskets?
