  1. Everything gets pi**ed by lowering hence why you need a geo afterwards. But theres only so much the standard suspension will give you before you stress it out. A 30mm drop is quite a drop, buddy of my ruined his Z by doing 30mm. Drove awfully and squeaked and clattered down the road
  2. Id say it definitely couldn't hurt to get some camber arms. My old Honda was on the floor however it had a full suspension set up, camber arms, toe arms and the tyres looked as good as the day it was done. Ive read that with anything over 20mm they start to struggle alignment wise. Why put all that extra stress on your joints Do it right first time, do it once.
  3. Before Docwra has a meltdown, id like to jump on his drum set by saying its a possibility that you have padd transference, which is a build up of residue from padd to disk, typically from sitting with your foot on the brake after coming to a stop. Ive had this recently and suffered an audible clonk under braking and pulsing through the pedal. The car had recently been in the garage so I think they took it out for a "roadtest" and gave it a kicking I took all padds out and roughed up the faces and disk with sandpaper, before cleaning it all with brake cleaner. Once reassembled and under advice from Ekona, I went on to do rebedding in, which went something like this 5 x 50-30mph light stops 5 x 50-0mph medium stops And on a private road obviously 5 x 100-0mph hard without ABS stops This cured my problem albeit with a stack load of dust after the run! To warp a disk you have to be going like bat out hell. For the sake of the thread I have MTEC drilled and grooved disks with normal Brembo padds, HELL braided lines and dot 5.1 blue fluid. Squeaky around town but stop very well and when hot even better
  4. Your pictures are terrible Id go and sit in the corner and think about what youve done! Showing no decent side shots, blasphemy! Although, you've made me want a set. Well played Sir
  5. I cant wait for the new DE DRLs. Then ill get excited
  6. Having spoken with Frank alot (black 350z) I personally feel his Z is an absolute gem. Genuinely a down to earth fella with nothing but time for the community wherever people are from. Both are stunning imo
  7. I was 24 when I bought mine, 26 this year. Alot older then my time, my hobbies include bourbon, cigars, slippers and yelling at kids to get off my front garden
  8. Ive noticed a big jump in younger Z owners lately, specifically from all the insurance questions haha. I thought I was one of the younger ones at 24! It'll get worse before it gets better though. Still, means cheaper parts for a while!
  9. Once the insurance drops and the younger lot get them and start stancing them with cut springs and driving them into trees, thats when the values will start to rise. Seems to be the way with most Japanese vehicles, they become desirable before being ruined and then making a comeback as the rarity of looked after cars increases. Much like Integra DC2s, there value as jumped easily a good 3 grand in the last year
  10. Aye. I finally ended it with my ex when I found out two fellas had been around the week before, at the same time. And it wasnt to help with the plumbing. Its going to happen dude. As we've all said, you are the most important one in your life. And although its not what you want, theres nothing to stop you meeting someone else. As ulrton would say " There are no strings on me"
  11. There was a guy after these in the wanted section dude, might be worth a look
  12. Dude... 12 days is a drop in the ocean... Like do not be sitting there clockwatching. Just get on with it, you dont need to be making ultimatums. Leave her to do her thing, you do yours. Trust us on this.
  13. Yes you can. And its literally a straight 50/50. They could come on in 1 mile, 1000 or never. They could come on once and be reset like mine were and so far so good. Its pott luck and mapping them out is the only answer As for difficulty, adding spacers can be really easy and really difficult. If you're lucky they'll unscrew from the cat with a 24mm spanner, if you're unlucky they'll be well stuck in there and you'll need 02 sockets and a long breaker bar, even then they may still not come undone. When you think of the heat cycles they go through its not surprising. Best of luck!

    mot today

I ran out of breath and died reading that. RIP me from heaven. Regards on passing MOT
  15. You just confirmed how good OEM rays look when refurbished, especially in a very silvery colour. GLWTS pal
  16. Out of curiosity, what does it entail? Engine, box, mounts, ecu?
  17. Alex, random question but its popped in my head, how difficult would it be to put a HR engine in a DE motor
  18. You need O2 spacers. Fitting these is a straight 50/50 chance it may set your EML off, it may not. Many live with the EML light until they get them mapped out, by doing the pedal dance to reset the ECU. I fitted HFCs before xmas and it tripped the light almost straight away, took them all apart and refitted them along with the pedal dance and so far no ECU light. 350zs have a learning ECU so any performance modifications you have will make no difference unless remapped.
  19. Hiw can this be such a common thing though? Thats what I find baffling. People are spending 15, 20, 25 and 30K upwards and something so routine at any dealership is being overlooked! So much for "servicing"
  20. If we're being honest, im of the opinion that if someone or a company doesnt want me to see something, theres typically a sinister motive involved somewhere. I can safely say every garage, tyre place, bodyshop you name it has let me in, shown me around the workshop and even in the case of one, a wheel alignment shop, let me assist in helping. Dont get me wrong ive never just invited myself in but I have always asked for the absolute no thrills honesty when its come to my vehicles. I remember one MOT'er passing my MOT depsite having two broken studs, condition being it was booked in with them for the work to be done and driven gingerly home, which it was on both counts later that week. The one garage I never trusted and the car was taken there and came home with a huge dent, to which they denied all knowledge of. The answer was "well you modify your car, how do we know you didnt dent it yourself". Yeah, right. I do see where they can be coming from, liability insurance is a nightmare at the best of times but id be annoyed at best that a garage had disconnected my dashcam. None of mine do, because trust is a two way street.
  21. Im assuming that they're meant to be black right...
  22. 100% what angrybiker has said. A week, a month, 6 or a year. She'll come back. They say lightening never strikes twice but thats not true in the case of woman, and honestly as homo as this sounds (we're all friends here, honestly I have more car forum mates then real) but I just want to buy you a beer man. Unfortunately she sounds like the absolute double of my ex who even to this day, will go months without talking and ill just get a little reminder that shes there. Its all a game as much as they profess it isnt. Woman like that dont change there spots bud. You know the saying about leopards. Sitting there over analysing it all and looking through pictures etc is self destructive, but we've all done it. You're not a lap dog, you have feelings and emotions and you do not deserve to be treated like a toy that she puts down and picks up whenever convenience suits her. I can promise you for a fact she'll be keeping tabs on you, and the moment you show progress she'll click her heels and expect you to come running. Dont be that guy anymore
  23. How does the car feel now pal? Been sneakily watching this and was waiting for the transport blocks to get mentioned! What was the garages excuse for this? Such a big nono
  24. Sign me up then for a clear set then please Adrian. I reckon these are going to be sort after!
