  1. The wheels are going to be a nice aggressive fit, you may need arches rolled, but they'll be fine. don't undervalue what the guys are saying about tyre sizes, especially as someone who DOES use the traction control. The reason it bit you in the past, even with the traction control ON, is because you were using the wrong size tyres and the car was allowing a fair amount more slip before cutting in. The stock difference front and rear is 2.7% larger on the rear, the traction control is programmed to work properly based on that. So if you REDUCE the percentage difference, you'll get more slip before TC cutting in, and if you INCREASE significantly more than that, the TC will be intruding a lot more, potentially even when going in a straight line. This does seem to vary from car to car, with many saying they have a square setup (no difference front/rear diameter), and do not have any issues (seems weird to me). Though I suspect that they are drivers who are turning the TC off anyway. Take back those rears and get 275s.
  2. Don't suppose you're selling the AMS GT rear bumper are you?
  3. In all seriousness, we can certainly expect an adjustment of the doomsday clock in the coming days. Poking each other with sticks during the longest period of global peace in history, is just idi-fking-otic. I hope everyone wakes up from their delusions of power and glory soon.
  4. yep, 500 to 800 quid a set depending on condition and desperation of seller is the going rate. Black DEPO ones almost as good for much cheaper (to the OP I made a more detailed post in your other thread)... http://fullcartuning...ack-nissan-350z
  5. These are the cheapest proven 'quality' facelift headlights available in the EU, as far as I know they are only available in black at this price, if you want the silver ones, better to find second hand units and polish them up. Their aesthetics apart from being black, are near identical to oem. http://fullcartuning...ack-nissan-350z Fitting facelift headlights is a doddle if your DE is equipped with factory bi-xenon, you will already have the 8 pin connector and a grounded ballast, the new lights will be plug and play. If however, you are HID main and Halogen hi, you will have a 6 pin connector and you will need to either make an adaptor or do some splicing. After that, make sure the ballast is grounded, add a decent pair of D2S bulbs (halogen hi beam cars have D2R bulbs) and you're in business. OEM ballasts are common to both setups, no need to buy new ones UNLESS the o-rings are perished, in which case, when you unseat and reseat them in the new lights, you won't have a good seal and they'll get condensation. I don't know if the rings are available separately or not to be honest. I have the black headlights listed above, bought from the exact same shop (the quality and fitment are superb, the only difference between these and OEM that I can really quantify is that everything (plastics, wires, everything) is a bit thicker and more durable on the genuine ones). I then bought two engine loom side 8 pin connectors (mine is a US base model, therefore halogen hi beam) from the breakers on here, some new ballasts and bulbs from ebay (though I was in the unfortunate position of having some crappy aftermarket HID system courtesy of previous owner), and have got a hold of all the various pin assignments to do the conversion, after researching extensively. I'll be doing this after easter (Orthodox Easter) and I don't anticipate any issues.
  6. The NSXes had MAJOR issues at the 1st Super GT race this year, 4 out of 5 out with total electronic failure, looked like they all suffered the same failure. Great race, as long as you aren't Nissan or Honda sensitive, Nissan were nowhere near the pace of the top runners. Seeing a Prius make a GTR look crap is a real kick in the balls. I think the Mugen NSX (new entry this year) was the only one to finish, only Honda's top team could keep it running. One of them didn't roll a wheel at all, they never did manage to get it started!!
  7. Needs moar low and bigger spacers. The Zed too.

  9. Klitschko retirement at the end of round 8, 9 or 10 is what I'm hoping for (I really hope AJ doesn't knock him out cold, Klitschko doesn't deserve that). Simultaneously though, I hope AJ has been training his chin, because a good chin is what he's going to need against the hard jabbing Klitschko. I don't see AJ being quick enough to dodge Klitschko's jab, and that's going to hurt him a lot, he's going to have to find new thresholds of pain to win this one if Klitschko turns up to win. I think he'll do it though, and become a much better fighter for it.
  10. What Naseem had that nobody else ever had in his weight class, was the ability to knock out opponents with only arm punches thrown from extraordinary angles. His power was a natural gift and puts him up there with Julian Jackson, Roy Jones and all the other hardest punchers ever. You have to remember, Naseem was knocking EVERYONE out, in a division that usually saw maybe two or three knockouts a year. Compare his KO record with one of his best opponents, Kevin Kelley, Hamed knocked out 31 out of 36, Kelly 39 out of 60, and he was considered a prolific knockout artist in the division as well. Jet, you must have LOVED the fight where Barrera beat the ever loving crap out of him then. However, you should know that in the month leading up to that fight, Hamed (through his own laziness) had to shed 20 kilos. He was a shadow of himself after that. He had two fights that showed his greatness and his great chin, Kevin Kelley, who was touted as the next pound for pound superstar when Hamed laid him out in a great back and forth fight, and Augie Sanchez who he knocked out in spectacular style (one of the most brutal knockouts of the 90s). One of the reasons that people say he never faced anyone, is because he ended Kelley's pound for pound career that night, Kelley became little more than a journeyman after that. Augie Sanchez was also a big up and coming p4p fighter at the time, but with a suspect chin. He left the ring on a stretcher that night and was never the same again, so who knows who these guys might have gone on to be, had they not faced the awesome Hamed in his prime. Interestingly, it was the broken hand he suffered while knocking out Augie Sanchez, that caused him to gain all that weight and become totally ineffectual against Barrera, ending his pro career.
  11. Glad everyone's ok mate. Those beetle's are actually tough, it's inherent to the egg shape. Bet the other car was much worse off. Opportunity for the missus to get a real car now? (sorry, couldn't resist, if she likes it, fair play to her!!).
  12. Nope, had no idea at all. Never heard of Donovan Ruddock at all tbh. Ruddock the boxer was decent, some would say it's a travesty that he isn't a hall of famer, but he too fell victim to the 'boring era' of heavyweight boxing where he was beaten by all the 'greats' yet easily beat the journeymen, in a kind of no mans land between 'great' and 'the greatest', and due to the fact he didn't hold any world championship belt for a particularly long time. However, his two battles with Mike Tyson took a lot out of both fighters, he lost both, and neither fighter was the same again, setting up relatively easy wins over both for Lewis. If he had dodged Tyson, which he should have, he only took the fight out of frustration at the time because Holyfield chose to fight an aging George Foreman instead of Ruddock, a move the boxing world heavily criticized and accused Holyfield of cherry picking, he would have had a much better career and would now be a hall of famer. He beat Lewis (on points) as an amateur, with many considering Lewis' professional knockout win over him another of his famous 'revenge knockouts' albeit many, many years apart.
  13. An absolutely disgusting footballer, I wish he had stepped in the ring with Lewis. I guess you guys probably know he picked up the nickname from the boxer.
  14. Many people see it this way, you're right, but it's not fair on Lewis. Lennox Lewis has a CV almost as good as those in the golden age of heavyweight boxing, and is one of the most underrated heavyweights of all time (despite already being well recognised as 'one of the greatest' by true boxing fans). He is the only boxer (except those who never lost, naturally) who avenged all his losses. On every occasion he was beaten (and one draw to Evander Holyfield), his next fight (ok, there was a little gap before Oliver McCall got what was coming to him) was a rematch in which he knocked out his vanquisher. His revenge knockout of Hasim Rahman is still considered one of the most explosive knockouts of all time, and the cleanest one-two punch combination ever landed. That one-two would have put ANY man down. Let's hear it for the Lion. He never dodged anybody and fought everyone on the circuit during his time, you couldn't have asked him for more. https://en.wikipedia...ki/Lennox_Lewis A few CV highlights... Razor Ruddock Tommy Morrison Oliver McCall Ray Mercer Evander Holyfield Mike Tyson Vitali Klitschko On his day he would have given any heavyweight in history a good fight.
  15. I think your car already looks better than rocket bunny cars. I'm just not a fan of rivets. If you go for it though, dibs on your rear bumper (seriously, I'll find a way to ship it over, don't worry about that. )
  16. US street circuits in racing games are the bane of my life. Ah, great, 23 90 degree corners one after the other. Variation for the win! I can think of loads of great locations. Anyone else familiar with the Kingston one way system? Like it was designed first to be a racetrack, then a one way system.
  17. Sosa retired at the end of round 9 badly beaten up by the virtually unmarked Lomachenko.
  18. One of my favorite boxers is fighting tonight, Vasyl Lomachenko. He has a decent shout at being named amongst the most technical boxers of all time. Amazing to watch. He's fighting Jason Sosa, who isn't as good as he's made out to be and should prove the perfect, big name, mediocre challenge opportunity for Lomachenko to look good, which is just what his young, burgeoning career needs. Lomachenko by knockout in the 6th. He's a double olympic gold medallist and his amateur record is the greatest ever recorded at 396 wins and 1 loss.

Any other classic 90s fast Japanese cars on the waiting list apart from the 300ZX? Going back a bit further, I've made another automotive life goal recently, shortly after picking up the Zed actually... I really fancy a 2 door Datsun 510. I'm not fussy which, any model will do, cos I'll RB18DET it anyway. I sit back and look at the ceiling and stroke my imaginary beard every time I think about it, all I need a is a pipe. lol While I love the car above, it does need an Xzibit meme saying 'Yo dawg, we heard you like front valances, so we put a front valance on your front valance!'

She sure is a beauty. As I mentioned earlier in the thread, reminds me of guilty pleasures taking my mum's one out when I was a nipper. I'll always have a lot of love for that car. How long you reckon you'll keep it?

Looking great inside and out mate, well done. Is that the original paint (I realise you changed bumper, but the main panels)?
  22. Traditionally, human beings have been good at very quickly inventing or adapting whatever's needed to implement a technology. I can't think of anything historically which would have quite the same scale, but I also don't think everyone will want to swap on the same day either, so I figure it'll be about as big a project as when they standardised roadsigns, for example, obviously they didn't do them all on the same day, it had to be gradual, but also quick, just like installing required infrastructure for large numbers of EVs will be, when the market saturation hits that critical mass that someone deems it necessary. Perhaps that's something of an entitlist view, since I'm not proffering any suggestions that counter the perfectly valid points you have made, but I want to say it's not that, I just have faith in the bright people that put their minds to solving problems such as these for their living. Don't disagree with any of your points, just taking a 'don't worry too much about it, it'll be alright!' point of view.
