Which model? Z40i M?
-
All guestimates based on Youtube rumours and editor opinions. We will see. It cant be cheaper than the Z40i M sport or can it? I know this Toyota wont be limited production like the Alpine. When you consider the average BMW M car brand new is 60k + I dont think it will be too far off 50k and a possible drop if sales slump

Some criticism Ive heard is where is the 370 BHP or 350 BHP. But if referring to engine size I thought it should be named the 300 Z. But maybe they are moving it along with each version going on power now. Either way they should go with Z GT and Z Nismo
-
Experimental for the 400Z. You can always source an Infinity Q60 Engine and swap it or wait 3+ years for the 400Z. Whole new platform. That would probably be £55k new. But if you waited long enough could probably pick it up at 35k like the current Q60

They made it smaller and more stumpy compared to the FT-1 concept. Supra used to have a long bonnet and width for road presence. Looks to have shrunk to the Z4 size. Yep, Cant see the Z being less than £50,000 new. That,ll depreciate over time or keep an eye out for discounts or ex demos. Itll probably cost as much as a TTrs does now with a few 1000 miles on it The manufacturer claims they arent chasing numbers but go with no manual option. Japanese manufacturers need to realise that pricing at the same level of the Germans may not be a good thing. But with new formed alliances who knows. We all know the biggest sellers are all EU. Its probably why Toyota aligned with BMW. Hope Nissan dont go the same way with Mercedes....oh wait they already have with Mercedes X class and are working with Nissan on a small engined luxury car. Daimler have shares in both Renault Nissan.....with Nissan/Renault owning some shares in Daimler. Possibly due to need for better strategy, marketing and need for better resourcing, more alliances will form between JDM and European manufacturers. True Japanese may be a thing of the past soon. Japanese cars will now command a premium. Nissan GTR R37 with a mercedes 9 speed AMG gearbox mated with a hybrid V8. 2032 release. from £140,000 rrp

had a second look. Looks progressive. Bold move to try something new I guess. Tbh when I was a kid this is all I saw in the future of hypercar production. LED displays, cameras, wheel covered for aerodynamics, able to carry passengers, electric hybrid configuration. Well done for trying to innovate. Apparently all sold out at £2,000,000 each. Guess Ill have to put my trust fund elsewhere! I think it looks cool. Designed with aerodynamics in mind. They will need mirrors. Just go with a thin and sleek design. Itll be so thin you probably wont notice its addition in the final version.... Having seen it on video I actually like the design over the chiron.

fast forward to 6:50 for exhaust clip. 1 week old video

3 weeks old news but found out everyone else will be on the waiting list after the limited 300 to be released in 2019. Full reveal early next year at Detroit No confirmation on specs, but rumours are itll be a 382 bhp inline 6 tuned up from the z40i. No manual gearbox DCT only. The manual wasnt approved and got stuck in a cupboard at the factory, so auto only. Another rumour is it will cost £50,000 but possibly in the 40s. I doubt it Lets hope when the new Z drops in a couple years they will supply a spec sheet and a car with no silly camo so we know what we,re ordering. Hopefully 400+ bhp too

the back slopes too low, looking like an a7 sedan. Maybe back to the drawing board with the rear. is it a 3 seater

Wow wow wow, You can never sell this car. Good luck with the front bumper and interior. Im sure that will come off great.

makes sense. guys are making me want to get a 350Z instead of the mark 2 nismo. cheaper to run for sure. 24 MPG vs 18MPG i got on the Nismo 350Z still a head turner everywhere you go. Iconic car for sure -
I think Top Gear with Matt Le Blanc and Chris Harris was the way forward if he didnt need to step away. Fifth Gear fair play they do what they are supposed to do. The old Top Gear Clarkson used to read out letter from viewers complaining about the lack of real car reviews, which turned into satire. Then he'd do a piece on a car some people can afford then the following week another complaint Years back people might have paid to see Top Gear or Grand Tour. But with easily accessible and over saturated Youtube. Not so sure.

apparently you can add sound deadening material in the trunk under the carpet

i was behind the sedan version in my nismo. I didnt think it sounded better than my car. Just pops, bangs and farts...slightly quicker. Sorry to hijack the thread but how come you didnt go back to a 370z? -
"Calm down dear, its a commercial"
-
A real shame, but nowadays with the evolution of the interwebs, easily accessible gopros and monetising of youtube. You can get your reviews of 99% of cars elsewhere. Like Jeremy Clarksons one I stopped watching after first 2 episodes on Prime. The production of both shows are top quality though. If you dont find Youtubers annoying then you can get away with never watching either show.

Interesting the beam and rigidity bar are in the same location as the 350 and 370z. Theyve always been 6 cylinder too. Be nice to own one in future! Project car etc

Didnt bother clicking the link

I did it once worked for me in the summer. Then again the car only had some dust no real dirt. Possibly but using the right products helps and also hard paste wax works wonders if applied once in a while. Thats why I avoid black cars. They look cool but you see everything on them. On my Nismo the white paint hides those marks well. but I have to put my cheek against the body of the car to notice those micro marks on the car. Why I love White paint. Better to have straight lines than swirls though. Thats just my 2 cents.
-
I only wash in straight lines if that makes sense to avoid swirls...but the snow foam only works with dusty cars.
-
You had one before right? What do you think of some the kitted up ones on Youtube. Some have wider arches and bigger wheels or you more of a stock person? Looks like a big project. You had any of the other Z apart from the 240?
-
What happened to Chris Harris and the main man Matt LeBlanc. Whos actually a character!...Havent watched in a years.....

@gangzoom you mentioned small wind turbines and I almost laughed out loud. Not because of the idea of having a big turbine fan in your garden. But the fact you need planning permission to set one up. Welcome to the UK..... In some countries no one cares...Love red tape
