Some superchargers are tuned as low as 450hp up to 650 right? 400 would probably still feel underwhelming for someone with 339 bhp already. supercharger price with labour £10k?? Assuming parts and labour £5k all in?

I see.

Someone in the comments mentioned throwing in 4.1 Gears. What you guys think. This has GTR injectors, JWT C2 Cams Ported upper Manifold Ported Lower Manifold Plenum?? Z1 Headers Greddy Exhaust Cold air intake Z1 and Uprev Tune. 20 hours labour on Cams according to viewers? Is this the case? Looking at serious labor costs?

Infiniti quietly pulls the plug on the Q60 in UK
GranTurismoEra replied to hmale4yu's topic in Other Cars
The reason you wouldn't just buy the merc is the numerous recalls and faults reported on the C Class. Also Mercedes quality is up and down and fully specced could cost slightly more than an infinity. -
manuals were usually the cheaper option. Well I remember the Nissan sales guy telling me the auto version of 370 was 3k more. Also manuals on the used market used to be cheaper. The market for sports cars is more in the US but I dont think Renault have sold a car in the US for decades. Thats why the Nissan/Infiniti Renault partnership works well for each party in their respective markets. Also in places like Russia and India you just approach the local car companies and offer up a partnership to make something pertaining to that market. Like they have done so far I dont see Alpine going to USA anytime soon. Infiniti will continue over there as their main. With the long driving distances hybrid/electric is the way forward for Nissan/Infiniti

Cray Z 2017 Nismo - Brand Spankers!
GranTurismoEra replied to Cray Z's topic in Member Build Projects
Yep the one on my roof was deep enough. The others were around the edges of the rear spoiler probably caused by tiny rocks whilst washing. Selft healing PPF any good? I heard they can cause discoloration on white paint if left on for many years Also I dont know if old cars from the 90s had something similar to PPF because when we had an old toyota with peeling paint. There was a see through plastic lining that came off with the paint. Regarding the Nismo. Sometimes when you touch the bodywork the paint feels very soft especially around the door. I wouldnt place any reliance on Nissan or their attention to detail. They wouldnt admit it. They destroyed my rims and rim protector. Fortunately new Service Manager paid for the damage and I replaced my protectors out of my pocket. They never admitted it. Also technician denied knowing anything yet he was the only one that drove the car but my rims were curbed....Dashcam would be very handy next time! -
Id take the Alpine although above what I think its truly worth. Also because its different and you don't see many around and I can fit in it (6'2). Cayman for much later down the line I think. Well done to Renault for bringing Alpine back also having the MR configuration similar to the Porsches. Id like to see them try the same setup again with a V6 or similar further down the line. Preferably with a Manual Option. I have a feeling this ones here to stay for a while with a limited production for now. Only negative is the tame exhaust. First thing to change Different doesn't always equal better but having a choice is a good thing and reviews are rating it highly.

Thats ones a mystery. 25 made and a couple in Germany. -
When did I say that? Both Renault and Nissan have direct inputs in each others companies. The influence is there. These are tiny symantecs Nissan Renault Mitsubishi with Daimler the smaller shareholder. You decide what it is. Still a nice Renault. I have nothing against Renault or french cars.
-
On autotrader the older model is listed as Renault Alpine. Still a Renault. I have a good mind to call it a Renault Nissan Alpine Doesnt change my opinion that its still a nice car. If I had enough dosh I would consider one despite no manual option. I dont care for badges one of the reasons I like japs and the Z My brother had the Renault clio sport 182 7 years. Nice car too.

LOL rebranding. Reminds me of businesses who change front of house staff and have them working back office and replace them with young attractive models. The old Fiat/Ferrari thing from back in the day. Depends on the consumer. Problem is peoples wages haven't gone up dramatically. But its still well under inflation. 50K is still more than what majority are willing to pay for a mid range sports car with a 4 banger and muted exhausts. The customer will still know. I guess youre buying a bit of exclusivity and partially handbuilt machines Problem is many people dont see them as a premium brand so £50,000 is probably the limit a lot of people would pay for a car like this. Lower it by 15k and you probably sell a bucket load more although still a tough market here in UK

Infiniti quietly pulls the plug on the Q60 in UK

Maybe they are planning a full EV Q60 in future. You mean like their version of the leaf. I highly doubt it. Thats something the Germans would do. If Infiniti is meant to be the luxury arm of Nissan I dont think they would release a car similar to leaf at the same price. Maybe a redesign using the same tech as used in the leaf. Maybe they can carry on creating something similar to the 4 door Mercedes C class which they halted earlier this year as introductory fully electric vehicle. They were working with mercedes to bring a 4 door luxury EV to the market. It got put on hold. Meanwhile Mercedes released the X class based on the Navara using their engine I think. -
ive always wondered what happens if you dont use a torque wrench on bolts where manufacturer has recommended certain ft lbs?
-
nice car! guess you got a choice of handpicked tires from Porsche. Thats funny..... Michelins it is

I think this and the Supra will be similar in size. Smaller and compact. Regarding price you are right I always thought they looked like a 35- 40k car. I thought they were only making 1750 cars. Renault are opening up dealer networks in 2 countries outside the EU including Australia and Japan. This is where they are heading. Price wise Renault probably see it as their flagship model. Plus this car has been getting positive reviews and relatively new, no reason to reduce the price just yet. Cant have this at same price point as highest spec megane which is probably 30k? Road presence is up in the air. I was suprised how big the 370 was when I first saw it up close last year. Weight and handling are huge factors. But I am also suprised how capable the Z is with all its weight on the track. The Alpine kicks out a lot more and seems more drifty around corners albeit easier handling. but weighs like 300-400kg less. It definitely isnt a slow car. Looks wise, I think its refreshing to see something different (curves, archs, circles). Too many Germans with safe straight lines and boxy designs. I like the old school approach at the front with extra lamps. Back end is unconventional like the gtr 50....no risk no reward. Its different

Nice car for sure. Lack of dealers? Im sure depends what part of country youre in. Must be more than Honda NSX dealers lol Maybe engines are similar and could go to a main Renault dealer. but engine is in a different location in car I think. Would you trust an average tech with your £50,000 pound Renault? I saw a production video. These seem to be predominantly hand built. I could be wrong. Probably why its coming in at £50k plus

nah, lol. I was looking through the glass it was 4 feet behind the glass . Next time I'm up there ill stop by. I want to speak to them about the Z. I said to the lady the Z not selling is it. She paused and smiled. And said the Alpine is selling more. They had 3 blue ones and 1 white one. Although Nissan and Renault were open. Alpine doors were shut. If I can get there when they are open then ill take pics and post them up!

Saw one at Nissan Renault showroom. Beautiful Car for sure

Infiniti quietly pulls the plug on the Q60 in UK

The only reason to stick around is support current customers. Looks like they are going full EV after 2021. Even on their coupes etc. Might be the right direction. As their current petrols are gas guzzlers. They should probably stick to selling Q50 and Q30 till they can go fully electric. They might need to rework the marketing to push more units when they go fully electric. Im sure their prices wont be cheap either... -
Just get the Alfa 4C for now. As long as youre under 6 foot 2. Whats 300BHP. Under 4 seconds to 60? Good enough for the track for sure. Quicker than M2 stock. My brothers friends 4C left the RS3 sedan. Not sure if it was mapped though.
-
What are youre plans first of all? Mine is to get another Nismo Z or equivalent sports car TTS/BRZ/MX-5. More likely Z though. Visit Scotland, attend Japfest! GTR/720S Track day. We'll see

Mostly ex demo or 1 owner im sure. The initial £10-£15,000 hit is a lot. Then people end up selling after 1000-5000 miles. A lot of money to lose to find circumstances have changed, you dont like the car anymore or its numerous faults annoy you. By the time the price drops there will be other jdm options Im sure. If interest bombs those 300 would probably be the last for 2019 until they can fill their excel sheets with enough numbers to justify further uk production before allocating more. I can see a some dealers buying them and marking them up as 1 of 300..... Seems like a demand based production. Which makes sense with the current market.

Ill be happy to see one or two forum members with this car and the Z4 M equivalent. Be good to see the differences in the real world. Not just a journalist opinion. Probably looking at 12 to 36 months after release for the price to drop. Depends on the market really. That being generous. 5 year warranty should be standard for both I reckon. But BMW have advantage of maintenance pack for tires and pads etc. Not sure if they offer that on performance vehicles though.
