Legacy and £220,000 skyline because of Social Media and Fast and Furious movies. Legendary indeed. Anyone can slap a price tag on a car that was 20k in 2012. Over it lol There are Teslas on 300,000 to 1 million miles in US Some were made in China. Many EV Taxis on 200,000+ Miles on same battery in UK. No one knows about Legacy of Chinese automakers its all still relatively new. Their bullet trains are 40 years newer than Japan. As you said theres not enough data. As technology moves on there will be new crowds driving different things. Maybe people are tired of laggy throttles, laboured ICE engines, stealers with lower skills who call real engineers to do their dirty work, overengineered cars that make a racket and put fumes through your cracked window. EVs are simpler and less complex than ICE. Theres a crowd of enthusiasts who will buy niche EVs weighing 1000-1400kg and drive them on the track. Some build their own or convert current cars. Thats the new reality. BYD solved the charging issue with 5 to 15 minute charges. Its whether the infrastructure will be able to support it or not. Nissan are dead with no direction. Living off past glories while producing multiple SUVs. Dead company that talk a lot. Majority of people have moved on. How many people on the forum have raised their hand to buy one (RZ34) when it finally comes. I didnt see many. In the early days it was a slanging match and theres wasnt much love for them anyway. Theres are a handful milling around. I would have bought one in 2023. I already bought the 370 nismo from dealer in 17. Now theres so many options why would they sell over 150 to 200 cars discounted. Youve had imports sitting on Autotrader for months. Theres maybe a couple of people spying the Zed thread who would buy one at 50k....when they can import one at 34k or a nismo at 45... Most of Nissan and Toyota stuff will end up in Museums. We will be able to visit looking through glass and shake our heads at what used to be. Sure I was in Daikoku 2 weeks ago and i saw more classic Nissan and Toyota than you would see anywhere including first generation Nissan Skyline GTR and Datsun 240Z. Toyota GR86 is very very popular because theyre cheap (15k) and not heavily taxed off the road. Ofcourse people love their zeds and will pay £820 the following year and keep paying until they pay what the Irish pay and more. At some point itll have to be garaged or sold when tax exceeds £1000 or becomes costly to run because of increased costs. Getting a 24,000 pound zed to pay 200 quid ok each to their own. T Sporty cars dont sell like before. So i cant blame manufacturers for not releasing as much as before. Cyberster has no direct competition so well done to MG for doing it when others didnt bother. Porsche battery supplier went bust. So theres is delayed Other companies are still developing theres. Speaking of Porsche. MG owners just released a direct look alike of the Taycan called Z7T at 30k. After warranty you either extend or find a specialist while paying monthly subscription on battery rental if it needs replacing. You also rust proof as you do your zed no difference. China has better roads and hardly use salt. MG have already tested battery fire safety by drilling into them and CATL battery in Cyberster has 0 Fire history. There are still original Tesla roadsters on the road along with Leafs from early days. ICE cars will always exist but glad there are options and we are not forced to give all our money to government that only cares about its masters. -

Well they said the same about Japanese cars in the 80s. How do I know? Datsun owners at the forum sponsored car meets told me. Hilarious that gadgets and electronics owned by majority on this forum are made in China. China lead the way whilst the UK doesnt even register when it comes to manufacturing. But hey ho what do I know. At least the UK has strong financial sector and some export. At least.. Ive never cared who or what buys what to compare with who. Its one of the reasons i was one and the first to own a Nismo in my wider area. Then years later people started buying them and now younger guys are running both 350 and 370. Who actually cares what anyone thinks. Everyone is entitled to get what they want. MG and BYD are set to overtake and leave the likes of Nissan in the dust. Theyve sold 5000 Cybersters globally. This new Zed wouldn't have sold more than the Cyberster in UK lmao. Which is now approaching 500. So i dare Nissan to outsell any other niche sports vehicles. Theyll struggle! 2 tonne joke well it weighs the similar to the new AMG GT. No one calls the premium brands a joke. Especially when the 4 series and M2 have all gained weight...The new gen will weigh the same as the new M2. As mentioned other niche ev brands have solved the weight issue and charging issue. So what will be the next complaint.. Speaking of charging with the costs of everything a charger on my drive costs me a fiver per charge lol and i smoke all those aforementioned cars. -

True a new GTR will be over £100,000. The price point Nissan is using these days it wont be any lower than that especially for a new platform. Well they will keep selling them globally so up to people if they want it or not. Ill always be a fan of both Z and GTR. As you said there are now track EVs on the horizon and 75k gets you a v10 R8 with similar maintenance or McLaren 540 etc . Xiaomi owned SC01 coming to Europe, Longbow, Caterham are all working on track focused adjustable EVs. The Xiaomi SC01 Stratos lookalike started as a pipe dream of a young man. Now its set to come with international orders from all over the world. Fully adjustable suspension and set up it weighs only 1360 kg with tubular frame chassis. Very fast and lightweight. 429hp 2.9 seconds. It already looks better than anything Caterham or Longbow can offer and will undercut both in price. The car comes with engine mounts with space for a K20 engine lol MG Cyberster weighs 2000kg but was engineered by a Ferrari engineer so can take a corner within reason. The next generation aims to cut the weight to 1700kg in coupe format. Alpine have a 1400kg car. Longbow have a 1000 kg car. Caterham 1200kg or so. Also faster charging is coming. I do like the MG and have driven 2. Aftermarket suspension from KW released this month. Wheels are available from Italy and Germany. ill probably end up getting that. £5 charge at home per week £200 tax. Comfortable, quick enough to beat a lambo off the line and lose a license. When im bored of that ill probably get a F Type v8 or settle on a GR86 imported for 17k lol. I guess the GTR hype died long time ago. Never driven one 😂. Most have been ragged by local BMW boys. AMG GT, Vantage V8 2018 all appeal more. GTR is an itch that doesn't need to be scratched for me. Too many other options. -

BYD have more or less caught Nissan up in pure sales numbers. Nissan need UK to keep buying. So much so theyre trying to bring a 4 year old Z here. I thought they would be advancing onto newer models like a new 4 seater Silvia and Next generation Z and GTR. The Chinese such as SAIC MG are changing and updating models on a strict 3 to 4 year cycle. The latest Z needs to start conceptual design on a new generation car now to coincide with next generation GTR. All new models need to meet Euro 7 compliance and be sold in Europe. Apparently the new GTR will be Hybrid. We will see how they keep the weight down. -
I guess its always a risk with an import. But with so much aftermarket support just need the coin in jar or under the mattress if things go belly up. At least enough to cover an engine/Tranny replacement. We know that engine is from 2016 when the Q60 came alive! It depends on how picky someone is on a like for like part. 62K thats for a Nismo right? LOL There a company offering 3 Nismos. Grey Black and White should you wish to proceed it will arrive in August. Under 50k
-
Meh Over it. Get it cheaper used directly. Apparently no Custom Duty depending on which side of the bed HMRC wake up on. Nismos are going for £30,000 to £40,000 in Japan some are near new too. Add container then shipping costs. ST and lower trims are around £20,000 now. The following costs will be charged by the local agent when the process begins if you choose the Customs Clearance service. Delivery Order (D/O) Fee: £85.00 Terminal Handling Charge (THC): £125.00 Wharfage: £40.00 NOVA Fee: £45.00 Total: £295.00 These charges will be invoiced with VAT, along with the applicable customs charges, prior to the release of the vehicle from UK ports. All costs are subject to standard VAT. Customs duties and VAT are calculated as follows: Vehicles manufactured in Japan and shipped from Japan: 0% import duty + 20% VAT (Subject to HMRC Approval)

370 more comfortable for me but not as controllable as the 350. Despite more rear end grip on 370.

No need to be jealous. Its taken years to build and I used to go up to Birmingham (100 miles) for their Wales and Peak District driveouts from London. Simply because I know people would turn up no matter the weather. Then you get local joiners depending on destination. Theyve also come down to Oxford at the barn halfway that was Cool. I sold my Z 3 years ago. Otherwise I would plus im away for a month in Asia. Im sure if you used Facebook as well can get a few more people. Good Luck.

Good decision. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c77edrxn0dpo

Auto Gearbox oil change - when & what is the best.
GranTurismoEra replied to K370Z2's topic in 370z Technical
A lot of litres required. I wanted to do it on mine garages were quoting £500 on its own due to the cost of the fluid. In US some people are excessive they drain, refill, drive it, drain and refill again. I think drain and refill is enough even though all the oil doesnt drain out. Itll be dominated by new oil and the newer magnets will get any metallic shavings left in the gearbox. Keith has the right idea. Im sure hed do it for half the 500 hehe. -
R34 GTR. Big regret not buying one in 2010 when it was still reasonably priced. Then I'd have needed storage with all the thievery going on for niche vehicles.
-
My mate has the rear wheel drive M4 with full carbon bodykit from aliexpress....4.0 GTS can be had on a cloudy winter day. Not all the time though. But if its not a GT4 718 PDK at 70k then not so sure even then thats R8 V10 and 991.1 Turbo S territory. Youd be the man at Z meets with the Nismo but youll never see that money again. 😂 Anywho just got free access to pressreader with over 1000 magazines and publications. I can always dream while perusing the automotive section.

Lol whifbitz are resigned to racing theirs on carwow and the white one in Birmingham with GTR wheels still for sale after 9k drop over the last year. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202512168621836?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android-app

Wheres the 300ZX. Also at least include an auto 300zx to even it out 😉. The new Z barely quicker lol. You should see it around a track. 370z Nismo for me.
