A thread exists discussing this. Market for Zed is near non existent. While cars like Alpine can sell 1700 a year in UK and 8000 more in EU. The Zed wont sell over a couple of hundred. One of the reasons not much evolution in it since 350Z....Its not a new car, parts bin, old chassis. Also design is a marmite one for many The future is basically SUVs, trucks for US and Middle East and a badly run company that gets dropped by Renault. In UK Electric crossovers and SUVs made in Sunderland . There may be a hybrid version of the next generation Z or smaller displacement replacement for Silvia to appease the nostalgic fans. The current Z will continue to 2030.....The 2016 engine doesn't meet Euro 7 and do they have money to make the necessary adjustments? Since the declaration of trying to bring to the UK what progress has been made? It seems complicated. By the time the full circle and realization of EV maxing out at 30% market share happens itll be too late. Theyll be far behind the curve as they were with the Leaf when Tesla arrived with the model S. Other manufacturers have reverted back to ICE and ICE hybrid offerings. Nissan retooled factories and committed to EV back in 2021?! They need new ownership, they dont know what they're doing. They need owners who can concentrate on export market and prioritize European markets taking advantage of the bias against Chinese manufacturers using Japanese identity and European manufacturing bases.

Its been discussed here endlessly.........In 2022/23 when it came out I was interested but at the time it was costing over 50k for a base version to import. Then reading about it in the US how it was way over retail price at release and it was hardly popular. That it was a parts bin car and a heavier 370z. Watching reviews especially on track there was no justification to spend over 50k on it Last year a dealer in Birmingham had 1 for sale that sat for 1 year and another just under 1 year before they finally sold. He had to reduce the price by around 10k. As the prices dropped dramatically in Japan. If i never had a Zed id be tempted. The market for them is not really huge. If it had come it would have sold 400-500 per annum. They already got burnt with the 370Z. I and a few others bought new. The Renault Alpine sales have been okay but thats a lightweight car with different ethos so they can get away with 1700 cars per year in UK. World wide sales are very good considering. They couldn't get it over as the emissions dont meet Euro 7 and also fleet sales and that Engine needs modifications its a 2016 engine. There hasnt been enough evolution in typical Nissan fashion to improve this car from the 350Z. Also theyre broke and need new ownership. They will milk this particular car beyond 2030 when it should have been a new platform from this year. So Cranfield would be road testing the new Z if HQ can get it approved. I think 4-5 years into the cycle is a bit late and they wont sell. Better of only bringing the RZ34 Nismo and Special editions (Heritage) both in Auto and Manual. Dont bother with the base or even performance. Cap it at £50,000. Moving onto a new model by 2029 and/or new platform. But I doubt theres any money for that after this heavy facelift and 2027 manual Nismo introduction. Many Chinese companies have new models every 6 months with huge investment.....maybe Nissan can sell some stake for better management since they got denied for partnership by Honda and co. Chinese investment focuses on electric arm and hybrid tech and stops overreliance on Renault who no longer need Nissan and are already a superior run company. They can contribute to development of hybrid engines for next generation. I reckon the emissions and green agenda will balance itself out if the politics go where it looks to be going. Many manufacturers are giving up the pure EV hype. With Chinese investment Nissan could get a hybrid 3.0T or 3.5T hybrid 450-500hp newly designed Engine into a new platform and refreshed body design. Maybe also consider all wheel drive additional drivetrain will pass Euro 7 emissions if done right. Well thats a huge investment for a serious company. I dont think Nissan are there. A "bored art student" has rendered this an homage to the original Fairlady Z

Interesting, they have better roads although they use more concrete. Is it just the market demands for comfortability? Expect Japanese spec would ride different. Especially the Nismo.

I saw this on the comments. Its specced as a soft GT. So is that the sport spec not performance model? Either way its Neeesan. I expect the current company has no real direction.

I dont get this guy. He drove the 370 Nismo from UK and liked it. But now he rips both 350 and 370 lol. The guy got used to driving other people's powerful cars for a couple of laps. Dont expect Nismo to be much better although at 51k it better be. That stock car is dangerous

Lol I wouldn't...Id only sell for a Nismo. Thats 46-52k still. As a guy once said when I used to go to the Kent meet, "Theres just more attention to detail on the Nismos". Still doesn't justify the price match with an M2...when brand new

Id take it being in London with everyone on the road. Just needs a software update to fix the gear box lag. You cant get Nismo in Auto in the UK. Mileage is good despite age.

I had my discs skimmed in Cambridge by a real Mechanical Engineer. The dealers call them to fix these issues. After a few hours went out for a spin and some hard braking and the vibration was gone. I dont see this issue ever going away for cars old and new.

Yeah youre looking at the cost of a runaround to get it back to condition. Your overall spend including cost to buy should be in the 20k region. If you did need to sell you wont lose too much as thats what they tend to go for

Even though its been outside it just needs running in again. Get it cleaned up probably change that steering wheel loads of those for sale or retrim. Change discs and tyres (£2000). Full Service including gearbox and tranny (700 or so) and away you go. 16k max because you can get higher miles 2015 facelift for as low as that in Winter. 20k gets a lower mileage. People selling 2017 onwards Nismos at 26-30k with average miles are delusional. Theyre not fast sellers Its a Japanese car not a German. Ive ran a Civic in the early days with literally no oil lol. Opened it up at 160,000 miles car was clocked. Cleanest internals the mechanic has ever seen.

Nissan being shown up by Renault. They should part ways and let Nissan stand on their own. Again a used Alpine is better buy than that Z. Why pay 70k when you can buy a GTR facelift. Or import a 2025 Nismo at 45k or a base model at 30k. Nissan will make money on Nostalgia by producing parts for Skylines. Better to stick to that. Then milk this same Z till 2030.
