  1. no worries, they never really do. Unless you get the odd one who actually likes cars
  2. Thats seen as underpowered. Power seems to be everything now. EVen though you could never use it on the road. In that range you got the Golf R, Seat Leon, Hyundai I30N, all hatchbacks with 300 ponies there or thereabouts and you get a lot more tech. I was impressed by my colleagues 135I with 390 BHP remapped with an exhaust. But I prefer a sports coupe as opposed to a hatchback. I had hatchbacks when I was much younger and just started driving. More useful I guess. Cant beat a good sports car. Low slung, fighter jet with good power. Handling characteristics being 9/10ths of the law so you dont die. The SUV simply because family, more useable or just status. The mid range sports car wont die out completely as theres still a market somehow. How many people have Z4s, 350z, GT86 , Toyota Celicas in the country? Millions upon millions. Toyota Celica is the most popular used coupe on the road. Issue is price and getting someone with only 5k in the bank to go brand new! How much is the brand new car? £30 - £50,000 for 300HP barely keeping up with Golf R....sorry thats not going to do exceptionally well. In this climate a massive thirsty engine, high price hmmm. You need something that will do what the Type R and DC5 does well. Cornering combined with slightly more power. Is enough to keep up with an inferior driver with a lot more horsepower on the track or on the twisties. Cayman esq but cheaper. I dont care for the latest tech ala BMW or Audi or that my neighbour thinks I got cash. Real shame about the Q60....ah well
  3. Never stated it will. I expect it not to. That market is shrinking. Which means you get a lot more exclusivity and better price if you do get one. Even better for someone like me who hasnt 2.5 kids to lug about.
  4. LC500 is going to end up like the RCF. Down in the early 40s just above the RCF. My advice would be to skip the Supra. By 2021 there will be new generation of cars I would hold out for the new Z to be announced. Theres nothing wrong with considering a Z4 30i M sport with 290 bhp used. or the Z40i with 335 bhp. 5 year warranty and service pack. Tires, brakes covered. Only BMW does the maintenance pack. Me personally Im getting another Z to use for 3+ years In the event its put on the shelf in favour of a Leaf sports car or something funky. Ill probably just save for a GTR. Or look at alternatives from Merc or BMW. The C63, M2, M4, Audi TtS and TTrS are depreciating. I would love a Cayman 3.4 one day. With economic uncertainty who knows Until the Japanese can get their act together I dont mind keeping the Z for years to come. What else is there that you can say is worth every penny, feels exclusive, you actually want to go drive take down to a track, travel with and feels special. Not many can tick those boxes.... and is within range. Nismo less than 100 in country. Old platform and thirsty. Asthmatic engine and long in the tooth. I wouldnt have it any other way. GT86 hasnt done too badly. Type R Honda committed suicide with the looks. Too much GTA satire going on there.
  5. Lets see what happens next fall or in 2020 in terms of announcements. Time flies its almost January Supra, we,ll see what its like early next year.
  6. Maybe they can use it as the base for the next Z
  7. thats difficult to capitalise on what isnt really there. When people look down on Japanese cars. Its all about the three status quo brands in the UK. Mercedes BMW And VW group. Everyone else can get in line. Ford and Vauxhall are there for cheaper alternatives Nothing wrong with infiniti calling it a day in UK. Just worried the Z line will be discontinued after a year or two introduction of the next gen if sales take a dive. Will people pay supra money £45,000+ for a thirsty jap coupe?
  8. Theyre not selling in uk. UK is a bit of a sheepish market. People buy the same stuff and are too afraid to try something different. The car is thirsty but so are a lot of equivalent cars. There are used Q60 mainly 2.0 turbos that have been for sale since September that arent selling. The 3.0 for £33,000 not selling. Car sales are down at the moment. People arent buying as much. They will become a rarity and will depreciate as the demand for them just isnt there. It is what it is. Infiniti shift many more Units in the US where gas is cheaper but going up. Ive seen one on the road in 12 months. That Q60 black they will probably only make limited numbers if they do make them. I doubt they will bother with UK.
  9. had the same damage on 350 unfortunately notified the insurance who were about to write it off..they said would cost £3000 and uneconomical to repair.managed to get it done for £350 pounds took a week
  10. the japanese ones are hilarious, they are all so close to each other in constant vtec.....that evo very quick but all over the place
  11. As with anything go through the proper escalation procedures. If all else fails Motor Ombudsman. It could take months. Theres a guy on here still in process of rejecting a car. Been almost a year now
  12. I got a tracker as soon as I bought mine in august 2017. Sold it in July 2018. As needed to buy a house. Looking at getting one again in future. They also washed mine twice. You need a sign taped to the windshield saying "no wash". My colleague who owns a near new Bentley does this. I only had a valet wash my car or i washed it myself with two bucket soak. Any scratches I got one on the roof wasnt caused by me but by a dealer or vandals. Which is why I stuck with White. Harder to spot hairline scratches. Also if it gets stolen its an obvious standout. When I sold the car. Tracker were calling me frequently to say the car was lifted off the ground and moved etc. I reminded them ive now sold the car. I paid 26k for mine 5 months old and 3k miles. Steal of the century. Regret selling. Soon as I sold I came across a white one near my gym . Spoke to the owner for like 15 minutes and it was a tough one to take seeing his. But needs must. I have a white CRZ now. Cost me nothing. I had an idea to de ja vu, get a 350z for 2 years then upgrade to the Nismo. But thought no point better off getting the 370 now for 2 -3 years maybe not a nismo and get a 350 after. Then look at any new model that comes.
  13. Not that i condone these but they somehow make the best videos especially from Malaysia, singapore and thailand. WHen they are in groups. Ive seen countless GTR/Civic Type R videos from Malaysia.
  14. This will probably never see production and rightly so. At least the styling is a lot better than many ev
  15. Saw that race, after the disastrous 720s Gt2RS race.........I expected the result. My brothers mates 4c dusted the RS3 sedan. The weight makes all the difference. Also the autobahn videos show it going to 165 mph plus. Very tempting indeed.
  16. lol they said that many times apparently. The original 911
  17. ahhh the dreaded configurator. Thats what dreams are made of. If you wish it to happen enough it will! Dont step on dreams post brek zit anything is possible
  18. Im sure ive seen a porsche with the light bar years ago....she was gone. My bro has the 911 carrera non turbo. Very nice cars indeed. One day maybe a Cayman 3.4/ GTS or Carrera T is enough for me. If I ever hit the lotto GT2RS for sure. 4 pot porsches We cant say the signature design is long in the tooth its a premium brand.
  19. saw it, thought it sounded awful....also not much quicker. They need to use a proper turbobback exhaust on the next gen
