  1. https://www.topgear.com/car-news/hot-hatch/watch-out-civic-type-r-new-mini-gp-get-300bhp 3000 Track Tested JCW to be released rated at 300bhp using a 4 cylinder engine. They are aiming for a faster time than 8:23 on Nordschleife. They have some work to do as the type R does 7:43. Not bad at all.
  2. Went from 350z. Had a civic beforehand. Thought about it for all of 4 weeks then bought one. Same goes with the 370. Went to see it at the show room then 2 months later got one. 370z was much smoother for me. 350 had a better seating position
  3. I watched the Top Gear Review where it caught fire. Its the same engine as the megane and detuned. Im sure its a good car. But 50k is steep for what it is. Steep for me anyway. Overall steep for a 4 pot 1.8. When the initial hype dies down. We'll see if there's any depreciation. Some say it will hold its value at 50k. I started to find Chris Harris annoying lately. His 992 911 review was as boring as he sounded. Hes full of cliches and a badge snob. Kept reminding us it was a Renault or at least theirs no Renault badge in sight or the makers say its not a Renault. Its used parts from Renault good to know and so on and so forth It seems a good car regardless of badge
  4. Unsightly.....man o mannn...reminds me of high school when the Design Tech teacher used to ask do you think this design is aesthetically pleasing. The answer is Hell No!! Lessons to be learned from this one I think. Z4 looks better. This is overstyled and busy.
  5. Yeah the APR makes it almost as expensive as buying brand new. With that APR a used TTS at £26k would be 34k by the time you finished due to interest. Then you look at BMW 24% combined on some used M2s lol. That takes it to 43k on some cars costing 32k. Right now the TTS are holding value well. But like the TTS and TTRS gone before (MkII) they will eventually depreciate into the teens Better off putting a bigger chunk and paying HP for 2 - 3 years. IE £15k then get rid after 3 years when it really starts dropping due to new mk4 shape I used to laugh at PCP/HP too. Then I thought who cares only live once. Get what you want! I did see one 1st week I bought the Nismo. He was stuck staring at me while doing 20 mph. But I had tints so he couldnt see me and sped off.
  6. the large ducktail spoiler and single vent front wing look good. That along with nismo rear diffuser/back bumper would be my ideal. See 370 isnt dead yet! Large Ducktail by them as well?
  7. Silver always looks clean, invidia sounds nice
  8. what about the Alfa 4C? slightly out of budget though.
  9. The Z will be a lot more rewarding to mod im sure
  10. As far as I know hes got a few bolt ons and tune. Fast Intentions exhaust, down pipe, carbon shaft + ECU Map plus some other bolt ons Claims to have made +160 whp and +200ft lbs over stock with tune and covered 10,000 miles Not bad for a car that weighs 1850kg. I think he wants to reduce the weight next. 600 bhp I think
  11. You mean Motorline?
  12. This can happen anywhere. Its probably due to economic reasons! A spate of claims, low uptake on insurance, many reasons.
  13. Follow me on Instagram Dreamer1566

  14. so what's it going to be? Not much out there that doesnt have huge repair costs or some issue or another. Have too live with whatever shortcomings your choice may have Mustangs do look good. The V8 sounds crazy. A rev off between that and the E92 M3. Something from the heavens
  15. jheeze.....and 145 in a 70? Would expect 9-12 months for that and a night in the cell. Depends on the day. Maintenance, what about an HR 08 09 as suggested earlier
  16. Saw that one this morning LOL. Seen couple ads where people are getting banned. Probably been ragged to the hills. The ad stated he had another project car. Interesting. Call and ask for the original plates. These guys and their private plates, messes up the whole process during sale. I had to wait 10 days to tax my 350z. He should change the plates back to originals now if its actually for sale! MOT history check and HPI from reputable site. See what hes been up to.
  17. pot luck with that. Extended test drive and just listening to the engine can help determine what state its in though
  18. haha come on dude, no ones competing with the US. The sheer numbers in places like California, Florida, Texas and New York. I've seen multi story 5 floor carparks brimming with just Modified Cars only on Youtube. We have a lot to be thankful for. USA and their car scene I saw the pink Zed with UK plates in one of those European meets. Its probably an old video though. Might be a bucket list to try get over to this in a few years time! Germany isnt that far lol This is international got people coming from Switzerland, Poland etc
  19. Leave it and keep looking. Youll find a better example
  20. The mpgs on the Mustang are similar to driving the 370Z in the city and A roads. 22 mpg is generous. There are a couple Mustangs around my area.
  21. Found a cool video. Apparently biggest Z meet in Europe is in Germany. People come from Switzerland, Poland etc to attend. Around 200+ Zeds from all eras. Im sure there are 100s more similar videos. LA, Wangan/Tokyo, Etc
  22. All club stand members got Zeds?
  23. You can get a GTR circa £30,000 - £33,000 but 2009 with a high mileage. Theres one on autotrader for £28,000 but with near 110,000 miles. Roasted.... Maintenance on those will be several grand a year. 25k was going to say Z4 M which I would consider and save the rest of the money. Cayman 3.4 older, Lotus, TVR but how reliable are they? My colleague had the v8 Aston. Said nice car great sound visiting the dealer servicing enough said. GTR servicing costs, tires, brakes plus extended warranty at Litchfields. Id say have a spare £3k -£5k handy at all times lol. The older the worse it gets.
  24. cute car. I dont think the bmw 8 series in lane 3 will be moving over. Can barely see it. I wonder how this will fare against a mapped 240i or m2 competition or my colleagues 135! with 390 bhp. Interior is.......what it is...should have used a rebadged m2 steering wheel.....
  25. THe paint feels soft. some scratches may not heel A special highly elastic resin has been combined with a conventional clearcoat to increase the paint's flexibility. This has also increased its strength by raising the resin density. -The paint does not self-repair if scratches are deep enough to sever the bonds within the clearcoat or if the clearcoat has been peeled off. -The amount of time required for self-repair depends on the surrounding temperature and the depth of the scratch. In some cases, restoration may take up to one week. Makes sense now!! I had a deeper one on the roof. Sometimes the hard paste wax could be mistaken for a scratch also in my case. The only way around this is to get full PPF which also depending on depth of scratch may not self repair requiring a rewrap... I Was offered Supagaurd. All gimmicks. PPF is the best protection to be frank. A simple Carnauba wax treatment or some crystal protection should be enough as standard. A lot of detailing companies well the honest ones can give you advice on this. Hard protection = PPF or Wrap Soft Basic protection = Clearcoat protection products, Carnuaba hard paste wax, gtechniq ceramic coating. The paint on my moms ML320 1998 was a solid multi coat paint. She got smacked by a dozy driver. Took it to the garage and they simply wiped the scratch off.....Now thats scratch proof paint. That was the 90s though!
