    370Z Auto - Wanted

Afternoon, A good friend of mine is looking for a nice 370Z auto, coupe or roadster but must be auto. Mileage isn’t of great concern as long as well maintained abs documented history available. A stock car is preferred and budget of around £13k with flexibility. Based in Somerset and looking for a car in next fortnight. Cheers Si
  2. Car looks lovely! Thanks for the tip, will be sure to have a good look at it. So is that attached to the good then, does it look replaceable? Seals have cracked I would imagine due to weathering, the combination of sun/rain/atmospheric bits all eat away at the rubber which becomes brittle. I used some great stuff on my Honda rubber seals, used to do it twice and year and kept them like new - https://h-tune.co.uk/genuine-honda-shin-etsu-silicone-grease/?currency=GBP&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI4obywMuR4QIVjZztCh1vkQRfEAQYASABEgKlgPD_BwE Did you set out to buy a roadster? Did you look at many, interesting to hear your buying journey/experience? I would settle for a coupe but having owned an S2000, VX220 and E46 M3 conv; I enjoyed the extra dimension of roof down motoring they all gave so think I need to hang out for a roadster. Si
  3. It’s really interesting to read through everyone’s contributions so thank you all. Particular thanks to The G Man; that was a super informative and enjoyable read sir, only spurred me on with my desire to purchase one. I did have a little wander and budget creep looking at some other options but when it comes down to it I think the 370 just offers SO much for relatively little outlay. No joy selling my Merc yet but watching the 370 market eagerly and have a few ads saved ready for when I can pull the trigger!!!!! Si
  4. Thanks Sim that’s good to know, trying to weigh up whether I go manual or auto?? I set out very much wanting a manual because I think it suits the whole analogue nature of the car. I have watched a few YT vids lately (mostly from the states) and they have tended to be autos and it looks to be a fairly sharp box! si
  5. Looks lovely very jealous!! Si
  6. Thanks for your input, to be fair there is little about in the same bracket that offers so much whilst retaining sensible running costs. Very excited to pick one up, just need to sell my current car and then the hunt is on!! Si
  7. Looks stunning, just what I am after I think. Love the coupe but can only imagine the extra sensation of driving about in the sun with the roof down!! What's up with your roof you mention? Si
  8. Thanks for the replies, I have worked my way through most of those vids now! Lol! Interesting to to hear about your roof problem, was it the fifth bow I seem to read a lot about?? Very much convinced the 370Z is the right car for me just need to get out and drive one. Did stray a little into considering a Golf R/S3 as an all rounder......avoiding the need for two cars, but not convinced. Si
  9. In my quest for a new car I wondered if anyone might be local in the Bristol/Somerset area that might fancy sparing me an hour or so to show me round their car and take me for a passenger ride?? Happily exchange this for some beer tokens/coffee or similar. Finding dealers that have these cars in stock and are knowledgable enough to show you round them is quite difficult! I do work shifts so around lots of ‘random’ times which may or may not suit people. Si
  10. That’s great thanks bud, didn’t know Litchfield were so near, that’s great Si
  11. Wow that’s a definite testament to the Z car!! How was returning to the 350Z from the RS3? Were all your Z’s coupe and manual or have you had both roadster, coupe, manual and auto?? Si
  12. This as suggested sounds like it could be a good choice, reminds me a lot of my R32 in its note with slight rasp higher up the rev range -
  13. Really interesting so see everyone’s replies but also encouraging that a number have moved from a 350Z into a 370Z and also moved away from the Z completly only to return later down the line. Really excited about the prospect of owning one, met with some friends last night one of whom has an Alfa 4C, one with a VX220 and one who is picking up a VX220T on the weekend. There is talk of some driving weekends in the sunnier months but also more importantly a trip across to Austria next year to watch the GP. I think the 370Z will make the ideal companion for these trips and should fit in nicely with the other cars. Si
  14. Being in the market for a 370Z it seemed to make sense to establish the preferred speicialists to use for servicing and such like. Ideally someone will be able to recommend someone nearby but failing that would be prepared to travel a bit further afield? Si
  15. Probably quite a change for you then, E92 is a very timeless shape, an M3 of that era is on my list also. Si
