I've been on the scout for one for a while now, have driven a few and boy, they can move in standard guise. The gear box isn't as bad as you may think and there is a trick to saving it from being minced by doing something to it. Not sure what "it" is but you can easily get 300hp out of it with the standard turbo, box and supporting mods and show a much more expensive car your arse. To me it's the most beautiful car in the world. I love them. I had one a few years back and I should've never sold it. As a daily runner in standard form its O.k, not great. I used to get 30mpg out of it when I wasn't caining it. But the metal is thin and they are rattily, and you know you're in an early 90s car, that's for sure. But, and it's a big but, Handling set up correctly and with mild modifications, back seats out and rattily bits tapped down they can be really quick and an absolute hoot to boot about in.

This happened to me. Left the car sat for too long and hey presto! Egg shaped tyres!

Bad advice. Even if the footage was good enough to prove it was him, there's no such thing as a 100% win in court. All it takes is to get the wrong person on the wrong day after the night before and you can lose. The camera footage would have to be excellent (as in broadcast quality) to get a win IMHO, I've seen it happen too many times before. The CCTV should act as a deterrent, not as your proof to take him to court. If he scratches it at night, wears a coat, the sun is in the wrong direction etc then that footage will be useless. kind of begs the question: What's the point in CCTV at all if it can't be used to prove anything? Seems to work in London with 27000 of the buggers watching you're every move. Lord knows the police use it at their convenience.

A honey trap!!

if wasps made anything it'd be marmite.

i'd agree with corsas, saxo, always trying to park in the rather small boot of my zed. Revving the conkers out the engine until all tappets are dancing on the bonnet.

Doooo it!!!!

Love the S13. These can be ballistic!!

I recently had the end pipe that is connected to the back box welded up for a tenner locally. Can't get much cheaper than that!

i'd do it, if it's cheap enough and quick enough, and the parts are off anyway, why not? Drop links take some serious punishment on our roads. It'll only enhance what you set out to do. And while you're at it, i'd do the track rod ends too, all these together can transform how the car drives. You won't be disappointed. I know I wasn't.

Love it, love it, love it!! Superb colour and lovely bay = spanktastic zed! Nice job that man!!

15 on the front may cause a close call on the inner arch lip, depending on what type of wheels you've got. When I was running standard wheels I had 10mm on the front and that was close.

I don't have a V3 but I do have a fibreglass front bumper and they are stronger than I thought. It has taken quite a few hard knocks due to stupidly uneven roads and it hasn't cracked (yet) hasn't even shown any tension marks in the paint. But that's not to say it couldn't shatter like a mirror with a good smack.

To really blow someone into the weeds, like they were standing still, you'd need at least 100hp more. Otherwise it's a like a pimp trying to pull a Nun, it aint happening

what I can't understand is, if someone thinks you're parking inconsiderately, why not just ask them to kindly park somewhere else giving the reasons why? Alright, they might ask you to kindly f**k off but usually there isn't a problem that talking about it can't solve.

key his car with a message saying "Don't key my car"

First of all, welcome to the forum . As for exterior changes to the zed, of course, that's all personal opinion. There are some simple things you could do like you've already mentioned i.e. Ariel change which is easier than snatching candy from a fat baby. You could have a front splitter or a spoiler change with is slightly more challenging for those who are not so handy with tools but it's pretty straight forward stuff. You could look into changing the wheels which can make a big difference and then there are body kits which in some cases can enhance the lines of the zed and in others really kill it. Upgrading the lights may require some buggering about I haven't really looked into it. Engine wise, what most people do is: (Depending on the type of engine you've got DE or HR) you can upgrade the cold air box with a better air filter, add a plenum spacer and fit a better exhaust system as the standard one like on most cars is quite restrictive. This will improve the cars breathing capabilities. However, doing so will require a re-map as you'll probably throw up the EML (engine management light) after a thousand miles or so as the ECU is quite a delicate flower and panics under any changes made engine wise. You can do most of these things on the budget you've got and probably have some change left over.

When I had my GT4 celica, I had it mapped on a motec up to 330hp with 350 ftlbs of torque, and stripped it out. On a weigh bridge it made 1370k with quarter of a tank. It was hard work getting away from my mate in his UK Imprezza sti even though I was lighter and I had about 60 hp more than he did. Rather annoying.

I want to go there!! saw this on TV not long ago .

the higher the power goes, the more you loose, that goes for any type of drive-chain. But yes, 4 wheel-drive you lose a hell of a lot more compared to RWD.

Yeti sleeper. That's so cool!

See, if that fly hadn't committed suicide and added the extra weight on the lens, you would've spanked him. No, seriously, you not telling me that was a standard yeti.... please..

78k original clutch and it's spot on. No issues at all ( and now I've said that, bring on the issues!! )

I've had some pretty negative experiences with the Supra forum when I was on the GT4oc.net. Once someone advertised their GT4 on there to see if anyone was interested and all they could do was question the power output and the dyno print outs. Claiming that the power "wasn't very impressive" and that " you lose too much power through the 4 wheel drive system". They basically destroyed his ad to the point that no one was going to buy it since they had shat on it so enthusiastically when all the seller wanted to do was see if anyone was interested. A polite "no" would've sufficed but oh no.... they had to highlight how great their Supras were by crapping on someone else's car. Pretty poor show.

To buy or not - Cheap 2003 silver Z 86k with engine fault

Anyone who doesn't know about Zeds will not like the idea of buying one with the EML. If the reason for it is just the O2 sensors due to the HFCs it really is no big deal at all. We all know that, but convincing a potential buyer with limited knowledge is a pain in the arse. I have my EML up at the moment and i'm not selling it until I get it sorted (uprev). Alright, it's going to cost me £400 just so I can sell it on but it is what it is.
