  1. Thanks lexx, still getting to grips with the forum but thanks for the reply!
  2. I'm a new zed owner. I have come across the term "uprev" a few times but i'm not sure what is meant by it. So, what is it exactly and will I get any gains from it for my 2005 model? And where can I get a wasso or motordyne plenum spacer from?
  3. thanks for the replies guys. My zed has 70K. I've had it for a month but haven't driven it yet due to spraying a new bumper. Will give it a test and fingers crossed all is good.
  4. Does anyone know what the compression levels are for a bog standard zed? Not a rev-up. Would like to give it a compression test.
  5. Bet that tubby heats up that cold side pipe like a gooden. Shame as it looks like there's no other optional route.
  6. I've had 2 sets on teins on my Celica GT-Four. When I had it imported it already had a set on, which eventually gave up. So, I bought a new set from the next generation up and one of them gave up after 3 years!!! Needless to say I paid a pretty penny for them. Maybe I was unlucky but the same shock went on the second set as the first set. Wasn't happy.
  7. what if you keep it under 400whp? say 360whp, around 400 @ the fly?
  8. Jesus tap dancing Christ! That looks good!!
  9. the police won't be interested in that. I've got a GT4 with a straight through 2.75 blitz system. It's really loud, i.e. track days are not an option. I've never been pulled for it in 7 years of owner ship.
  10. To get the best out of any form induction whether if it's cheap or costs the earth, is to have some type of cold air feed. You could put a pair of ol' granny tights over end if you wanted to, it'll still do the job as a filter. But a cold air feed is what apparently makes the difference (albeit small)
  11. oops sorry, didn't see that there. i'll have a butchers.
  12. As per title in relation to super charging the zed. Or can the factory ECU cope with the change? Has anyone done it? If so what were the power gains?
  13. Providing its not a GT4 edition, a simple plenum spacer from Wasso or Motordyne is what you're looking for Thanks for the reply! what kind of power hike is to be expected from putting a plenum spacer in?
  14. Sorry to hijack this post but it is in relation to what was asked. I have a bog standard 2005 zed. So that has the DE engine? ( i'm new to this ) so what kind of options do I have to squeeze a few more ponies out of it in regard to the plenum?
  15. Thanks for the warm welcome guys. After reading through many posts I can tell this place has a good rapport. Glad to be on board!
  16. Thanks for the welcome. I'm gagging to drive my zed as i haven't done so yet due to putting on a new INGS front bumper on. Bit of a repair job required but it's getting there!
  17. Hello! I'm now the proud owner of a 55 plate UK 350Z. It's metallic grey with 77k on the clock. I've wanted one for quite a while. I don't know much about them at all. I've already been reading posts on the forum about this, that and the other, learning about some dos and don'ts. Interesting stuff. It's my first rear wheel drive car and my first V6 with an engine over 2 litres, so I'm looking forward to learning from you 350Z Jedis
