what I don't get is, if someone goes to the effort to make their car look like something more expensive, why take away the mystery by slapping different badges on it Obviously they're not taking it too seriously.

I'm the same, hardly drive it often, the battery has died once but it never led to the car alarm going off but it did cause the EML to light up momentarily.

Surprising! Many members have stock clutches that have lasted well into the early 100k bracket and then some. Mine is on the stock clutch and its absolutely fine covering almost 80k. It might have something to do with person who owned it before you. Pulling away in 2nd a lot or even 3rd (as my dad has done on a few occasions which has led to his ban of driving the zed) is not a good idea.

Had the same on mine. Could see the heat shimmering out of the hole in the bonnet. Not a bad thing. Yes, the four is a very capable car that responds well to tuning. bit of an unsung hero in the turbo 4-wheel-drive world. I think they have proper road presence. Cool, cool car.

Get a cooler thermostat for it. 3S-GTEs do get hot!! I got a HKS one for £50 and it made the car run a little cooler, not too much but enough to give me some peace of mind. BTW, the four is looking JDM supreme coldel. You've got a really nice 205 mate.

I'd just get the suspension and handling set up first. New banana arms. drop links, track rod ends and springs/coil overs. Any cash left over could go towards a new exhaust system and perhaps a re-map if there's any left.
