  1. Having owned a Disco 3 and Range Rover Evoque, I would not touch a Land Rover with barge pole. Constantly had electrical sensors failing, LR we appalling to deal with, etc. Fiat Panda? Or this? https://racecarsdirect.com/Advert/Details/67234/audi-quattro-s1
  2. 2016 update time.............. come on, its a tractor engine, how hard could it be? I remember a drift guy doing it in his shed with his missus
  3. I like the idea of competition............

Will do, but doubt it will pass the 90db static noise test.... Castle Combe is 96db and Goodwood has some noisy days

It wasn't / is not easy, but I've managed and still managing, while I don't feel any pressure or that I lost my "freedom". I see many of you here complaining of the sleep deprivation when / if you become a parent. Since I was a teenager, I always slept 3-5 hours max a night. I hate the idea that I'm wasting my life sleeping, while I have so many things to do before I leave this life I feel like I'm 97 years old and I'm running out of time with a huge list of to do tasks. Sleep is not important at all to me, I'm used to this kind of schedule and I don't feel tired or sleep deprived. I'm an workaholic too, with the immigrant mentality where you have to catch up with the local chaps and succeed, no matter the cost So my brain is wired for WORK, WORK and more WORK I retract my earlier statement about being lucky, you are the odd one....... You sleep half of what a normal person does, work from home (assumption) and love work..... Well right there you have 6 hours per day more than everyone else. Trying everything in 12 hours not your usual 18-20 I'm living the dream, so to speak. I love what I'm doing, love my work, love my family, love my hobbies, love my friends, love my customers, but I hate the weather! Of course there's always room for better, but there's still time... (or not?) Anyway, you lazy bastard! Any track days booked this year? I need to catch up with you! I love being lazy Im even moving closer to work so I dont have to take a train - although, technically thats to save train costs, not deal with people on trains and not deal with train companies. Not yet.... should be getting the MX5 back this weekend (with the addition of an oil cooler, some new harnesses, new clutch and flywheel, supercharger) Will book some up as soon as its back! Hoping for Thruxton on April 15th or somewhere near that date

I'm not that rich, I wouldn't dare! yet! Mrs is my first girlfriend, I'm her first boyfriend, we've been together since we were 17. We grew up together and bonded as a couple as we went through a lot of personal matters, some of you here know what I'm talking about, it wasn't easy. We must be the odd ones out, but to us kids have been probably the strongest sealant that in this relationship. There is no way in the world I would see myself where I am today without her and the kids. Unrelated to the above quotes, more like a general reply: Again, I know it's a sensible subject and I should probably stay out of it, but I can assure you I'm not being arrogant, pedantic or patronising at all in what I'm going to say. It's just my personal experience. Even to me it's hard to explain what you actually feel when you hold your kid for the 1st time as it just popped out or when you come home and it doesn't matter how stressful your day was they just brighten you up by hugging you, pulling silly faces, telling you about their latest achievements in school or extracurricular activities, when you see them becoming better than yourself as they grow up and mature and so on, therefore I can really comprehend how can anyone that chooses not to have children express an opinion about parenthood? Not judging either, each individual is FREE to chose what he does with his life. It's only a rhetorical question As an example, I love classical music, been listening to it since I was a teenager, I have lots of world renowned musician friends, conductors, violinists, sopranos, pianists etc, but that doesn't make me a musician. I will never be able to understand what a composer or violinist FEELS Looking forward to the days when I'm going to be old, having both of our daughters coming round to visit us with their kids, too My grand is 92, I speak with him every week as he's still back in Romania. There's nothing else in the world that makes him happier than when we call him or when we go to visit him, it's always a surprise visit, as we know he loves that. I think you are one of the lucky ones and I have no doubt you will get all that you want! I dont have that extended family thing.... I constantly moved, hated school, was bullied, issues at home with father, didnt speak to him for 15 consecutive years (didnt know his number, address, country of residence), dont speak to his side of the family, etc. All I have is my mom and my missus..... I do everything I can to take care of my mom and Mel can fend for herself

I think you are one of the lucky few. Most I know cant do what you do..... but good for you that you can Lets compare projects Missus and I discussed kids in the beginning and neither of us wanted... 15 years later, its still the same. We enjoy our lives, like the freedom and so on. We have friends with kids and they are great, but I am happy when I hand them back. Both my missus and I had tough lives growing up and neither us wanted to bring a kid into that. The other thing to consider is the stress kids brings to a relationship, I have seen a strong couple that having kids as only made stronger and others where it has torn the relationship apart..... however thats planned VS unplanned as well
  9. Watch out for a new driver (well sort of) Jake Hill, he finally has a full drive for the year and is very very good!! Hopefully he shines through this year
  10. So cold, but was a good weekend I didnt take many photos, but enjoyed the racing
  11. Been looking at them a little more, since I saw the 2017 targa version..... may have to put my name down on the wait list for that! Still love my MK2.5 which I finally get back next weekend, with its SC kit

    New GTR

I have the larger shift paddles and have never had an issue with them on track Not sure on the front bumper, not quite a fan.... looking forward to the R36 and will keep my R35
  13. Looks awesome in red, but I am biased Get it on track, you will learn so much more about what the car is actually capable of. It still impresses and amazes me every time I take it out on track!
  14. Good progress Mine is progressing.... some more metalwork to be done, but should be ready for painting in 3-4 weeks Need to start buying parts now!
  15. Yes Matt, the box Paul fitted to the GTR has 2nd video input. His kit is top quality. I generally have my suspension set to Comfort (lol!) and leave transmission in normal. OK so it isn't the hardest thing to flick the switch but it also stops it dropping out of R-mode if you shift to/from manual. Truth is - I am a sucker for a gadget! David Have to agree, mine stays in comfort as well, except for when on track. R doesnt drop off when you switch between auto and manual.... I dont think.
  16. I like the sound of the memory box, but when the car is cold I prefer to leave the gearbox alone until it has some proper heat.... so could see myself constantly switching it off to start with. The reversing cameras are brilliant, until they get dirty I have a front parking camera as well (to check for curbs, rocks, small children).

    911 R

Looks nice, video was rather boring
  18. Interesting..... oddly always had a soft spot for the 996. Looked great when it first came out! For the MX5 I prefer the idea of a supercharger (instead of a turbo), but thats just me. Mine should be finished in a few weeks time And since its a mk2.5 I think its all in e for 10k
  19. Id love a track one..... completely stripped and so forth, but its a lot of money to have in a car that is very specific - unless of course you live on track. Still expensive though, but it seems that people want a GTR so badly that they would buy something like that without realising how much its going to cost them.
  20. Nice looking mini - seen a few stripped minis on track and they handle very well same class as the clios
  21. Thats all well and good, but whats does the M3 get if you give it a few breathing mods and a remap? I know the m4 makes gains over at Litchfield
