I never really considered the 86 to be "cheap".... fun and RWD seems rather spot on, but the release prices were far from cheap IMO. I actually think that they killed the idea by pricing it high.

What seems to be getting forgotten is that manufacturers have to continuously add power, firstly it captures headlines (great for advertising), but they are constantly increasing the size and more importantly the weight of cars. Having had a 350z at the same time as my 240z was on the road, missus and I both felt that straight-line performance was very similar. 1972 VS 2002.... and a lot of that comes down to the weight of modern cars. I am hoping that this car helps kick Subarus (not really hot hatch) butt, because they have been casually sitting back and doing nothing RE car design over the last few years, such a shame! GTR is a big GT (and bloody heavy), I still have a place for it in my garage Was following the missus in the MX5 the other day and had a new(ish) Jaaaagggg drive past and the MX5 is tiny in comparison! The roof barely made it to the base of the door glass on the Jaaaagggg. Its similar comparing the MX5 to the 997 911, having one at the station where I park and it was next to us one day. Obviously this is race cars or track prepared cars, but still:-

Were you in a Z or BMW? Church is my favourite corner In the MX5 I was foot flat in 4th and very right on the redline.... got a fair bit sideways on the exit at about 105mph

Thanks Its not monsterously powerful, but its a good engine. Just looking for something a little faster than the MX5, but still tempted to SC it and maybe consider something like the Z4 after a year of SCd MX5 I think the one I saw was only th 3l but it still sat very well in the corners, but wasnt the fastest on the straight. The M could be rather entertaining.....

Anyone on here owned one? Have experience with them? Saw one at Thruxton yesterday, soundded lovely and looked well settled on track. Very tempted to consider one as a full on track car.... Oddly I normally dont like BMWs, but this one has really caught my eye and I was very impressed with their showing at N24 race awhile back (although, obviously not just a road car )

Kawasaki H2R is 1000cc Supercharged and generates about 230hp, its daftly quick!! Love that Honda design, saw it a few days ago.

Thanks mate, good meeting you too! Was an awesome day out, GTR passed noise test and went out. With the new R888s the car is so quick on track, Im back to falling out of the seat (butt cheek on centre console and butt cheek between seat and door), but the MX5 did far more laps, with many more drivers and was great fun! Finally got to spin the MX5 Oddly, I didnt actually take any pictures or videos.... was too busy driving or going out in other cars, what a great day!!

MX5 is booked on, GTR I noise test first and pay on the day. Fridays are usually quite quiet (as in number of cars)..... so should be good. Come over and intro yourself when you get a chance

That was the point It has been canned I've heard it's set for release in '16 and will sell for around $23000 in the US... And such a shame
