  1. First big maintenance job today, trip to Grinspeed to fit replacement clutch and DMF. Not bad considering I've had her nearly 2 years and she just ticked over 50k today. Thanks to Clark Motorsport for providing the parts, OEM for a change as I quite like the Zed's clutch feel and shift. The pedal has gone right from the top to the floor and weird DMF noises have ceased Thanks also to Stevie and Lee at Grinspeed who had the box out, bits replaced and back together in just slightly longer than it took me to clean and wax my wheels whilst The Shark was on the ramp. Very impressive work. Speaking of wheels. It's always nagged me that the centre caps don't quite match my refurbed alloys, so I took the opportunity to swap them out. Before. After. Actually quite pleased with this super cheap, tiny mod Last but not least, said goodbye to this little guy - doesn't feel right without it All done. The Zed still looks well even at 10 years old, if I do say so myself.
  2. Around 900 odd probably. Now show me your b**bs or GTFO. I jest of course as hopefully most of my posts have been productive & helpful to other members with a few bits of banter in between. You wanted it.
  3. http://youtu.be/NnLciBT4gMI Sorry Graham ~ nothing wrong with the name Graham it's just not mine. Why do I feel like I'm having de ja vu again. How many times??? He's Granville
  4. What's that count less sex pest posts? Gratz mate. Great milestone to hit as you become a 'charged owner
  5. Ask for some money off when you write to them too. Not like a milliion quid, just try and squeeze 50 quid out of them for the hassle they've put you through and to stop you going to Johnny Other Gas Supplier. Always worth an ask on a complaint, but be specific in the amount, so they know how much to give you to settle the matter.
  6. I'm so far past the looking mental in front of the neighbours point it's untrue. Every weekend I drag a woolly mammoth across every panel like I'm a matador and it's a completely stationary bull. I've not had a good reason to say it out loud yet.
  7. The 50cal foam I purchased a while back was a bit of a disappointment, at that price. It's no better than valet pro at half the price and ten times as much. DJ Apple iFoam FTW. I tried BSD on wet paint today as a drying aid, to save a few minutes quick detailing effort. Looked good and much easier to play with when the paint has residule water on it as a bit of lube. I was totally underwhelmed by Gyeon Tire at first, as it didn't stay very black looking for long, but now it's had a few coats, I think it's looking at being a regular in my starting line up.
  8. I hate two seaters with rubbish boot capacity
  9. Good effort mate, close run thing. Fair play to your Mrs for getting on board too
  10. Nice work mate, you must be extremely pleased. Tidy looking job Shame you couldn't wipe down that slam panel
  11. That website is like a 90s web hobbyist's bad trip. I love it. Clearly no belief in the use of negative space
  12. Gastric Bandwidth PS - have I understood the rules correctly? I think I'm doing my confused face bro.
  13. along. Excellent intro BTW. Pop some white lithium grease on the clutch pedal spring, it should stop the squeak and maybe even help with depression (that's a brilliant pun if I do say so myself). Generally handling and stopping mods first is the rule I've read on the internet, but I went straight for the BOSE as it's the cars' Achilles Heel IMO. The list of mods is endless so just work through what needs replacing first and then whatever you fancy after that!
  14. Checking your income is practically pointless anyway, you could employed today and then unemployed 2 days after the agreement is signed. All it really confirms is your current capactity, and most people lie about thier outgoings anyway (not all credit and bills are on your credit records). The only real indicator of a payer is history. There'll be plenty of people who kept up payments, even if they lost thier income, these are the people they want to do business with. I've seen enough credit histories to know that there are plenty of the other kind, who could afford to pay their debts, but don't bother. Best ever excuse for a missed mortgage payment, "I needed a new phone." "So tell me Mr X why on earth would I arrange this secured loan for you?"
  15. Hope you can open your mouth wide enough with the gear on.
  16. Pick up the bits you need from a zed being broken on here or a trader, then get them dipped or whatever while you're old ones are in situ. You might even make a couple of quid when you come to sell yours on after you fitted the dipped ones
  17. Big Al says dogs can't look up.
  18. Easy fellas, surely we've all had our pants taken down by a garage before? My first MOT when I was a youngster I took a modest fist on some costs, one being a few quid to adjust the headlights - it was done via a dial on the dash
  19. I think it would glide a bit if there was an issue. Just got to hope it's not being licensed to Alfa Romeo.
  20. Very nice - but surely this cost way more than a Zed?
  21. Why not drive a 1998 micra and donate the difference in price between that and a beautiful white Jaaag to the local homeless shelter
  22. Finally Tomorrow's World (it was a TV show back in the day kids) has delivered on something, the flying car. Dan, can you get a road/air test up for the weekend? http://gu.com/p/42p7a Now where's my hover board and jet pack? PS - If it's a re-post mods, please erase from history.
  23. +1 for Dell if you're going Windowz. My last Dell laptop was the best PC I've owned. Ordinarily I'd be pointing you at the apple store but with the Yorkshirewomen constraint , I think ebuyer is also a good option. Anywhere but PC World and you should be fine
  24. GO PRO time lapse? Head cam?
  25. Can't believe i've only just seen this. Nice work so far mate. Subscribed!
