  1. Big Al says dogs can't look up.
  2. Easy fellas, surely we've all had our pants taken down by a garage before? My first MOT when I was a youngster I took a modest fist on some costs, one being a few quid to adjust the headlights - it was done via a dial on the dash
  3. I think it would glide a bit if there was an issue. Just got to hope it's not being licensed to Alfa Romeo.
  4. Very nice - but surely this cost way more than a Zed?
  5. Why not drive a 1998 micra and donate the difference in price between that and a beautiful white Jaaag to the local homeless shelter
  6. Finally Tomorrow's World (it was a TV show back in the day kids) has delivered on something, the flying car. Dan, can you get a road/air test up for the weekend? http://gu.com/p/42p7a Now where's my hover board and jet pack? PS - If it's a re-post mods, please erase from history.
  7. +1 for Dell if you're going Windowz. My last Dell laptop was the best PC I've owned. Ordinarily I'd be pointing you at the apple store but with the Yorkshirewomen constraint , I think ebuyer is also a good option. Anywhere but PC World and you should be fine
  8. Can't believe i've only just seen this. Nice work so far mate. Subscribed!
  9. Quality! Love the "moment" on the first vid.
  10. Cheers mate, that means a lot to me coming from a pro. Strictly amateur hour over here though, I have a lot of respect for anyone like yourself who does this for a profession as I'm fairly sure it's not something I could do for a living. I thought you worked in one of those hand wash specials joints with one big bucket for all the cars, one giant sponge and giant vat of t-cut
  11. After a horrorshow Travelodge last night, finally got an acceptable hotel booked through work. Looked a bit stuffy until I parked the Zed out front.
  12. Can't see the itemised bill anywhere on here Post it up. Any additional work should involve a 2 minute phone call first.
  13. Used these http://www.thecanvasprintstudio.co.uk Quality is good and they've not faded or gone in any way weird in 2 years.
  14. I'm a contractor and my rates are daily, some contracts define what 'a day' is and some don't. I generally keep a track of my hours and if they drift over a 40 hr week once or twice, it's usually swings and roundabouts and I'll get an hour back here and there - all very grown up and fair. Sounds like your client is being a dick and I'm sure if you had had to put in a few extra hours they wouldn't be volunteering @*!# all extra for those hours. Sadly all you can do is suck it up and never do any work for them again. Some people know the price of everything and the value of nothing.
  15. A 34" version sounds spot on. What's the native res?
  16. Wow, this guy is my hero. What's the American for bell end?
  17. Once you pop the keys in the ignition and turn her over the alarm goes off. Then proceed as normal. Nice to try the bus every now and again for variety though
  18. I don't want to sound patronising but have you checked your graphics card supports the slightly freaky 2560 x1080 resolution? It'd be a shame if it didn't support that width. The dual link looks cool but I can't help feel you'd be better off with two 16:9s and you can angle them slightly inward for added comfort. If you go for it, it'd be cool to hear how you get on with it. Edit: I just checked the native resolution on my 27" iMac (no clever retina scaling). It is 2560x1440 which is obviously a more conventional aspect ratio. I find that a bit small for things like menu and toolbar text, so I actually pull the resolution back to 1920x1080 for normal use, the 1080 height is just about perfect for me working at a distance where I can see the whole screen comfortably without hunting around it with my eyes. This works well for having two documents open wide by side at readable viewing %. I can see the attraction now of having and extra 640 pixels width of the LG, but I don't think it would allow you to squeeze a third document alongside at a sensible viewing %. I also just saw how good value these monitors are compared to buying two decent 23" displays. 5k display 27" iMac not under consideration?
  19. I was wrong, do it and hold the dice and covers - these two look FIT
  20. Whatever happens, don't let Dan see them tyres. £50 a corner? I spent more than that on wax in the last year. MPSS all round would probably fix the wiper issues too
