I've been using Gyeon Bathe+ for a while now, it adds a layer of magic on top of normal shampoo, so it's good for topping up your shine when it's just a maintenance wash. They do a non+ version too without the magic, not tried that yet. http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/gyeon-q2m-bathe-plus-cat3.html Got a sample pot of pure in a waxybox and liked it a lot, but it's not cheap even bundled with a couple of other things. http://www.glacierwax.co.uk/car-care/wash/pure-001-500-ml-car-shampoo-2/ Heard good stuff about this, not used it myself yet though. http://www.i4detailing.co.uk/shop/britemax-clean-max-ph-balanced-car-shampoo-3.78-litre.html#aBX125_2dG There's loads and loads of choices out there though

Advice needed: building a pair of 350Z endurance racers
Stutopia replied to ShorsecRacingBen's topic in 350Z General
along! OMG this is exciting. Building race Zs sounds amazeballz, with the traders and spanner geniuses on here, these things will fly. When can we bring a load of Zs along to have a look -
Depends which bank, only the front O2 sensors are used for closed loop fueling adjustments, the rears are just for cat condition monitoring unless the is a problem with the front bank and or other conditions, but generally you can actually run without the rear set with no problems. Thanks for the informative answer Tricky. With regard to closed loop feeling adjustments, does these adjustments operate in the same way pre and post uprev?
-
I saw that after uprev, it was down to a crack on the weld on the cats leaking gas. Defo go back to whoever did the uprev and get it looked into. General question, the link a couple of posts up refers to "lean shift" for this code but wouldn't an exhaust leak cause it to run rich?

Definitely the best text only impression I've seen Have you seen Pollak's Shatner? I think you'd like it. His Walken is brilliant.
-
With the prequels and Indy IV, George broke my little heart, so anything better than that is a good start. The Star Trek reboots sucked much less, but it's not proper without William Shatner

Did you detail anything down under? Dirty rental car? Any unusual water behaviour to report? Regarding GW Pure, I now know why it's so expensive - it comes in an inch thick glass bottle, like it thinks it's Chanel No. 5 or sommat

More maintenance and no mods for mods sake Some winter rubber as the rears were going and I've never tried winters before, so seemed like a good time Got an advisory at the MOT for blowing flexis so cobra y-pipe fitted. Really nice piece of kit the Cobra y-pipe. Big thanks to Cougar Store for getting this out to me in double quick time, helped me out of a tight spot. Thanks She's cost me a few quid in the lat couple of months but I don't mind too much, because when she's running spot on it's a real pleasure to get behind the wheel. Hopefully that'll be it for a while now until the service after winter. Then I'll have to decide what the long term plan is

Swapped on Thursday to Alpin PA4s (it's been about 8 deg on my journey of late). I was due two new rears anyway with a couple of slip lights of late, so thought I'd give them a spin with such opportune timing. Never rubbered up (for winter) before, so interested to see how things get when it gets properly cold. So far they feel a bit funky, being new and all, but certainly no complaints as yet - can't even say they are appreciably louder than before, but I do usually have the tunes on.

Dan recommended this place for GoPro accessories, I bought a bunch for a roat trip and so far everything has been spot on. I haven't mounted it externally yet but the suction cup and the anchor pads look strong enough to support an elephant http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk

Get a card, you need one for Zeditis anyway, plus a well serviced card is a boost to your credit rating - so really, you're just doing it as good financial sense

Looks top, '70s are getting more attractive with each passing day.

Given that we're a single model club, the meets are likely to have similar looking cars at them, with the odd Jaaaag or GTR thrown in for diversity

If you can't persuade your money back (it's a pretty dirty thing to do if it was sold knowingly as a ticking bomb) then get it to a specialist, the bill might not be that big. Good luck, feel for you bud.

Dan sold it to him Check the tyres, if they're mixed all round it's defo bought from Dan

There's at least one fully rally decaled up classic scooby round my way. I'm always disappointed when I look inside and it's all OEM, resplendent with back seats, no roll cage and regular seat belts. I say do it, but go balls deep FTW!

Well if the Zed doesn't have MPSS he will surely just spin out & die. *Dramatization ~ may not actually be true* Don't say that, I'm taking mine off this week

Wonder what happens in the bends?

Yeah, I see what you're saying but I think judging a qualification by its origin not its content is one of the great barriers to social mobility. To me a set of three A stars from non selective school is worth the same as those same grades from a selective school. There are only a finite nunber of places available at "red brick" establishments, if these all go to the "best" people, that assumes there is only the exact same number of "best" people as there are spaces. Which is a daft assumption -

Not controversial, it's just branding IMO. I went to a university that used to be a polytechnic and studied Business and Technology. I feel that's more vocational than academic, but to all intents and purposes it's the same studying I would have done if it was a poly as if it was a uni. It took the same number of years as a degree and I worked hard, in stints, to get it. The only reason I believe they should all be under the brand of "university" is that it cuts down some of the two tier bull**** that some people have about assuming a university qualification is "better" than a vocational one, purely and simply because of the name of the institution and not the amount of study work put I achieving it. -

Two particularly valuable things stood out to me about my time studying for a degree: 1) it involved a mandatory 1 year placement, so I learned invaluable real workplace things that you don't get from studying (timekeeping, behaving in a professional environment, thinking on my feet, how to engage colleagues at different levels in an organisation, etc). 2) that there's loads more I learned at uni that's nothing to do with studying, such as how to live away from home and run a household/pay bills on time/etc. Also coming from a fairly limited diversity, white, working class part of the country, I got to meet people from different ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds - which broadened my horizons immeasurably. My best and closest mates are still the ones I met at uni in 1999. All in, I think Univerity is a great opportunity for anyone, whether you chose to do something academic or vocational. If it was free (as it should be in a developed and civilised country) I think you miss out on something if you don't go. However, I totally recognise that some don't want it, even if it didn't cost a penny, and go on and do really well - so it's far from a must have, more a good to have if you want to do it. Then there's the more recent element of "I'd go if it didn't cost £30k", which is totally wrong, education should be free. Living in the real world, no one should be barred from education because they're not rich, but there is a tough choice to make. I'd rather pay a few quid more tax and no poorer kid misses out on uni due to not having the means, than save the tax money, but it's not everyone's point of view. Would I encrourge my fictional children to go? Absolutely. Would I go mental if they chose a vocation instead? No, by the time you get to that age you've got to make your own choices.
