  1. Pre-apologise to the neighbours?
  2. Yes, yes, yes, yes yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Nu_xTC5Gc2U&sns=em Don makes me think of Ralph Fiennes' performance in In Bruges, which it must have heavily influenced, and should be on everyone's list.
  3. Dirty spacers on a Dan car? Messing up the scrub? Eroding your unsprung weight savings? May as well rip out two cylinders, fit a turbo and a convert to an auto box
  4. But that's the nature of recommending films to a person you have no idea of their viewing history. In my office the chap sat next to me asked what's a good film to watch, ask if they've seen Four Lions, a mainstream movie, but he's not, so it's a winner. On the other hand, if I talk to my boss about the same thing, he regularly mentions films like Amores Perros or Jamon Jamon, so you know that you've got to try and dig a bit deeper. There's no point recommending Rubber to someone who exclusively watches Marvel churn
  5. No section on matched rubber across axles and the perils of ditch finders? Wouldn't a continual assessment be a good thing rather than a one off test. I know it's naive to think instructors wouldn't take the mickey and keep you taking lessons forever but I don't think an hour with a random is as good an evaluation as many hours with one person.
  6. Have a great trip, feel free to leave the keys to the place with me. No charge. Nearly everything will be there when you get back

    RIP 911

Was there a similar feeling amongst Porsche types when they went air to water cooled? Sucks they've gone turbo on everything though, NA muscle FTW!
  8. Mitsubishi Colt Ralliart? Sure it's not pretty but it's boosted!
  9. Have a look a see if any of these are good for you. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/83154-remote-out-of-sync-solved-how-to-reprogram-it/
  10. You can pack it with some acoustic foam to soak up the bass, but I'd be tempted to fit it first and see what's what. There's a pretty good chance some of the surrounding plastics are going to resonate anyway, so you may find yourself revisiting the space after a week or so.
  11. You should probably check that space for small animals, birds, children from time to time
  12. By mild I meant it's not alien blood TBH I always assumed that any topical speicalist cleaner like that or tar remover or bug remover not only shifts the deposit but also strips back anything else (which is where the unneccsary QD comes in, until you do the car again ) so you're saying there are some of these topical cleaners which are LSP safe? I'm suspicious...
  13. Hmmmm, you've not missed much Maybe a decon/stripping shampoo, or do you just go with fairy liquid? Errr, a hoover or steam cleaner? Engine degreaser? As I've long suspected you're clearly a pimp for Gyeon and Gtechniq, as such I might have expected to see Gyeon Q2M Prep on there.
  14. I've been browsing little city cars and the Twingo Renaultsport Cup keeps popping up and the Suzuki Swift VVT Sport.
  15. The big stuff's been listed, but there's other ways to spend it. You could of course take the Zed for a road trip through the alps or up around the North West of Scotland before the snow sets in A nice bottle of scotch, a big bag of yayo and an open minded russian call girl to hold them in the passenger seat
  16. I only ever watch the 15 hour version, I grow submariner's beard first, get one of those white jumpers they wear, turn off all the lights and watch it in the bath with a dripping tap for atmosphere
  17. Asian cinema has some classics. Ichi The Killer is completely mental. Presumably everyone has seen Battle Royale before it was ripped off and became the The Hunger (for an original story) Games? The Park Chan-Wook trilogy is really good, Sympathy For Mr Vengeance, Oldboy (not the american one) and Lady Vengeance.
  18. Dead Man's Shoes is absolutely brilliant Chris, great shout Swingers is a favourite too. When I was in LA I had to go to two places, In-N-Out due to The Big Lebowski and The Dresden from Swingers (also did Mulholland Drive on the movie tour). The lads outside The Dresden, I'm shooting Rubbs photo inside, but it was the best I could manage in low light. There was an open mic night in there and the singers were brilliant, none of your karaoke rubbish. "This place is dead anyway." Sorry for off topic OP
  19. Oooh films is such a tough one, especially offbeat ones as some choices will seem really obvious to anyone with more than a multiplex interest in cinema. Here's a few of my favourites that spring to mind. All the Coen Brothers' movies are good, with particular mega thumbs up to Raising Arizona* (comedy drama) Miller's Crossing (old gangsters) Big Lebowski* (comedy noir) Burn After Reading* (comedy) O Brother, Where Are Thou? (comedy drama) Other modernish stuff: Brick (modern day film noir) Sightseers* (black comedy) Chopper (crime biopic) Bound (lesbian crime, oooh errr) Memento (crime drama) Glengary Glen Ross (drama) LA Confidential* (crime) The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou (comedy) Mars Attacks* (black comedy) If you don't mind old movies: The Maltese Falcon (crime) The Apartment* (comedy) Dr Strangelove... (black comedy) The Sting* (con man) For the person who can live with subtitles: Mesrine - Parts 1&2 (crime) Dobermann (crime) Festen* (drama) Untouchable* (heart warmer) Das Boot (super tense submarine drama) La Haine (crime) Irreversible (drama) None of these are what I would call family viewing, some containt quite graphic violence. Anything with an * is something you could comfortably get away with with the Mrs. I know that sounds a bit sexist and lots of girls like great movies, but in my experience girls and boys can often like quite different things
  20. CarPro Spotless This was from a tip off faceballz for dealing with water spots (chemically) on gloss black vinyl where clay wouldn't be good. It's pretty mild I'm lead to believe but it got a generous rinsing after use anyway. Used after TBW and rinse, before open hose rinse and towel dry. Good product. After rinse and towel dry, no other products used, spots gone. http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/engine-and-exterior/carpro-spotless-water-spot-remover/prod_1325.html
  21. I've got a big round one, fills the palm and feels satisfying to rest my hand on. It does get rather greasey but bit of a rub and it's good to go.
  22. Of course the social media element is faddy and there'll be people who click "share" and that's all, but, "Pre-ice bucket, the MND Association would receive on average £200,000 a week in donations. From 22 to 29 August, it received £2.7m... ...In the UK, other charities have benefited with Macmillan Cancer Support raising £3m from challenges. Water Aid has seen a spike in donations, including £47,000 in one day - 50% higher than it ever received in a single day before. The money came in part from people bemoaning the water wasted in the challenges." - Source BBC They're not insignificant sums and the irony of WaterAid making record receipts at the same time as Ice Bucket challenge won't be lost on anyone It's much easier to leap on the bandwagon than start it up, but even a bandwagoner is a step up from apathy.
