Is the success of ISIS due to a fanatical belief of a god, or is it due to poverty driving people to look for any false hope?? Religion is abstract human concept we have made up to control each other. It thrives in poverty because it gives people hope. Trying to patch up the problems with charity will do nothing to solve the underlying issues. The real question is 'Is my life more worthy than those around me??' Judging by the actions of Australia versus Germany, the whole world can see just which of those two countries is more 'civilised'. I'm sorry, I don't believe that until there's a global redistribution of wealth, people doing decent things for one another is a pointless thing.

Being safe & secure and doing a little to help out other people are not two things which are mutually exclusive, much as you've tried to paint that picture above, it's simply a fallacy. A person doesn't have to have surrendered everything they have to have made a positive impact on someone else. What does it matter whether the hypothetical, unprovable question of if "the privileged sympathisers living their comfortable, privileged life in their comfortable home, in a wealthy country, would actually be so sympathetic if they were in that situation" is a correct theory or not? Whether someone with only a tenner gives a homeless person a fiver or whether a billionaire gives that same homeless person a fiver, the reciever is still a tenner up

What absolute horseshit, have quick look on here for threads asking for help and the responses they get from advice to other members viewing cars at opposite ends of the country, all for free and with no expectation of reward or return. There's plenty of other threads about sick relatives, charity efforts, money raising and this place is just a car forum. If you only care about yourself, that's fine, but dont pretend to yourslef you're like that because everyone else is and that it's ok.

I'm not usually a warmonger but the vacuums created in unstable countries are an opportunity for any lunatic to arm up and go mental, fundamentally I'm on board with Dan about curing the problem rather than the symptoms but there's always room for a tactical effort as well as a strategic one. As for posting on social media, I don't see why that's a bad thing? Even if a tiny fraction of people who see it are moved to do something or donate or moan at their MP or sign a petition or drop off tins of beans at Calais or Greece or Italy, where's the harm?

Just check the oil regularly from cold, after being stood on a flat surface overnight is the easiest I've found. Have you got roadside assitance and recovery?

I believe it's on a permanent live, so leave it long enough and it will drain the battery. Bummer, are there any which do turn off? I couldn't say for sure and can only go off of the couple I've tried, I think they're designed that way. In my very limited experience, when I kill the ignition the bluetooth/wifi connection doesn't drop, so can only assume that's because it's still hot. I'm guess someone with some electrical brains could fit an inline switch for the OBD2 port, so you could manually turn it off without disconnecting the device but I don't think I've seen it done on here. Any reason why you want to leave it in all the time, mine fits nicely into the ashtray/coin holder when out of use.

I had a Scorpion on the Zed when I bought it, added HFCs and it was a great blend of quiet when pootling and fun when hooning, some rasp. The cobra resonated I have now is a step up in terms of pootling volume, it's never really what I would call quiet, it's deep and rumblier and it alerts people to your arrival Love it. I didn't mind the jap slash tips on the scorpion one bit, but the rolled tips of the cobra look nice and meaty and sit nicely out from the bumper. I have a diffuser so can't comment on what the rear box itself looks like from behind.
