  1. Couldn't agree more with that. I do agree that driving should be a privilege, reserved for those that can be bothered. But I don't for a second think anyone is likely to turn around and toughen up legislation on people who drive as a chore/despite their health. If we've learnt anything recently it's that oldies vote
  2. For those that don't get it, there are plenty drivers out there who take no pleasure from driving and some who are actively anxious about having to drive. Automating driving (particularly in rural environments) could eventually make driving much less of a chore/challenge for these people and should (on average) make them less of a menace. Automating it in cities, could eventually eliminate traffic jams. I think they've already done the math and confirmed that even with this fatality, Tesla are still ahead of the average "death rate' (every 90 million miles or so in the US). I can't see them banning it, unless driver caused death rates suddenly drop to zero! Not that that's really relevant as the driver does not appear to have been using it as instructed. So in that regard, it's no different to driving a regular car with your eyes closed or hands tied behind your back - he didn't even see an 18 wheeler coming!
  3. Nice trip and some great pics. We just did 2500 milers across Belgium, France, Italy & Monaco - didn't see one 50 or 70 the whole time!
  4. Just caught up with the last three after my holibobs. They're getting better, particularly the more screen time Harris gets and the less studio time Evans gets. The really tedious star blah blah car bit is really starting to grate though.
  5. I was at the Iceland Hungary game, incredible atmosphere with something like 75% Hungary fans giving it plenty and the Icelandic boys holding their own. Bit low on quality the game but high on passion and endeavour, the Stade Velodrome was incredible too. On the way to Lyon now, had a great few days in Marseille, looking forward to (hopefully) Roy trying some of the lads who haven't had a kick yet.
  6. I don't add ballast, it always feels like you're just adding slowness to me, though I see the thinking around redistributing the weight. Brake balance is something I nearly always load up one or two clicks forward. Also if you have the Traction Control above 1, I find it a bit too aggressive for most cars, I sometimes go as high as 3 if the car is a handful on every bend. I find the wheel makes two big differences, steering is much more variable and you can be more judicious with the brakes. This is the setup I have, it's the budget end of the wheel/stand market but I love it. http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Logitech-Driving-Force-GT-steering-wheel-/112025771055?nav=SEARCH
  7. The Welsh boys gave it everything and we were fortunate to win. I'm in the Lille fanzone right now, I think we can feel confident about playing teams who offer more offensive challenges than Wales did. They wanted a point and were unlucky not to get it, but we kept plugging away and got a win. 3 pts off Slovakia and we'll see the teams who really mean business. Unlucky Wales, good effort England.
  8. Perfect, don't listen to these loons Classic.

  20. Dan wins the internet today, response from PB below: Unfortunately, you may not be able to get rid of the etching. You can try hand polishing with a finishing polish, such as Menzerna Super Finish Plus 3800 (85RD) with a Lake Country Hydro-Tech Finishing Hand Pad (crimson) - http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/menzerna-85re-cat8.html http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/lake-country-hydro-tech-hand-pads-cat24.html But, this doesn't work on all vinyls, so it would be worth trying it in an inconspicuous area first just in case it doesn't work. If that doesn't work there is no other option to fixing it yourself, you would just need to replace the vinyl.
  21. Spacers work some and not others. They didn't for me, so I went in for an upRev to sort it. At the price, they're definitely worth a shot.
  22. It's the roof. There are no discrete bits
  23. Thanks bud, I've got some IPA knocking about.
