the restoration project is now resumed. Currently the carbs and associated hardware is being rebuilt as on inspection there are a few signs of wear in her 49 years of being in this world. Gaskets were shot so new ones have been made from gasket corking as originals are near impossible to source. Also had to put a new copper float in the rear carb as she had become porous. They are all refreshed and going back on with new fuel pipes and clips. Lastly, added a new fuel filter.

Agree with AJ. Best we can hope for is some small regional meet gatherings I think. As Andy says large events are pre booked a year in advance so this years wont happen if they have been cancelled already. I will be rebooking all my REO events as soon as the 2021 calendar is open again.

Hi there. You will probably need to register as a member trader first with this proposal so my advice is contact the mods. Many folk on here have had this done (wasso and mopemark) both provided this service on an exchange basis in the past. My advice is buy one off of zmanalex and then you can keep the cycle going by sending that one out in exchange for one back that way people wont be without a plenum whilst you do theirs. There are no options to adjust the stock springs on the Datsun 510 to get the lowered ride height and camber adjsutment at the front. I have springs on the back, coilovers on the front. If I could have had springs believe me I would have as I had to have these custom made from the standard front suspension. Just trying to save this guy some money as its a big cost if all you want is to lower the car for looks and street use.

Nice car. If you aren't tracking it why bother with the expense of coilovers ?. Put a set of Tein S Springs on and you will get the same result for a fifth of the price.

I got scammed at a set of traffic lights once. 3 topless woman approached my car. One washed the windscreen, the other two opened the drivers door, one had sex with me whilst the other stole my wallet. They all ran off. That was on a Saturday. I got scammed by the same 3 girls Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday and Friday the following week.

Truly was a stunning car and we shared some great times. It worked a treat on this car but I would said it did because of all the other mods done to it too.

Had two. 350Z De which I modded and then a 370Z Nismo Mk 2. Now restoring a Datsun 510 SSS coupe which I am absolutely loving. Have fallen in love with classic motoring and enjoying owning a car that goes up in value rather than down. Loved both my z's but no regrets on selling my Nismo.

Had them on my 350z DE 6 years ago. Looked nice but didn't make any difference. More bling than zing.

Just a little progress given lockdown etc. Got the suspension on now and we are just getting the height we want on the coilovers. Going to bring her down a small amount at the back and up a little at the front. Will share more when she is where we want her.
