  1. Hi I’m looking for a plenum spacer and 75mm throttle body. If anyone has one please let me know. Thanks
  2. Hi everyone I’m just gauging interest at the moment but I work for a metal playing company and recently played my upper plenum. It leaves a chrome finish and unlike polishing it won’t fade. Just like the chrome bumpers you find on classic cars. I’d need to you send me your upper plenum and I would prepare and plate it then send it back. Would be a 1 week turn around as would be fitting it in after work in my own time. I’m guessing it’s going to cost £150 including postage. If your interested please feel free to message me. Thanks
  3. It’s certainly doable just depends how far you want to go. 300whp would be around 330 flywheel hp so not even 100hp per litre. But I don’t want to go mad taking heads off and cam swaps just fettle what’s easily accessible and see what I can get from it. More just for fun really.
  4. Thanks for that. Horsham is only down the road from me so will be paying them a visit. Think I’m going to try and get 300whp that’s the target anyway.
  5. Hi everyone I used to own a 350z but only for about 3 months. Anyway long story short I bought that exact same car back. I’m a professional engine builder with access to all sorts of machines and tools. My car is a 2006 rev up model and I’m looking to try get a little more from it. Was hoping I could pick your brains as to the best mods to try and save a little money trial and error. My plans are as follows pre 06 upper and lower plenum and will be machining the front two runners and I may even put them on the flow bench and test them properly. This should give me some gains if I’ve read things right. This will then be matched to the intake manifold. 75mm throttle body matched to the plenum. 5/16 plenum spacer. full 3inch cold air intake insulated with gold reflective tape. Resonated decats. Already have a ark grip exhaust. can anyone think of any other simple breathing mods I can do that actually give gains before I get an uprev. thanks thethorne
  6. Hi can you pm me a price for a pre 2006 plenum and Inlet manifold and if you have a 75mm throttle body a plenum spacer and wouldn’t mind a set of side steps either in black or carbon. Thanks
  7. Do you still have this. If so send me a pm please. Thanks
  8. What year of car is the plenum off if it’s still for sale. Thanks
  9. So today I changed my gearbox oil and diff oil unfortunately I wasn't able to get any pictures but it went well. Luckily I had the help of a ramp but it's certainly something you could do at home on your drive. I used genuine Nissan oils and added some mollyslip to the gearbox and I must say there is a vast improvement I'd recommend it to anyone. Before the gearbox was notchy and stiff now it's silky smooth with effortless gear changes it's also quieter as well so that's an added bonus. I also ch ages my gear knob as the old one was looking tired along with led interior lights and number plate lights and a stubby Ariel. Next on my list now the important mainanance side is done is new pressed number plates and to get rid of the clouding on my head lights.
  10. Hey no I'm not I've read bad things about it. I'm also using genuine Nissan oils.
  11. So I've just got home and done the engine oil and filter. Never known a car so easy to service before in all my life the sump plug and filter are so easy to access. The car certainly seems better for it anyway and I used Castro edge 5w30 fully synthetic with a k&n filter. Next on the list is gearbox and diff oil with some added mollyslip.
  12. So I've decided to start a build thread it's going to be a slow process and have nothing major planned just subtle mods here and there and general maintenance. So I picked my zed up on Saturday it's covered 59,000 miles and the paint work is poor. I've had quite a few performance cars in he past but nothing with a v engine. I've owned it nearly a week now and it's taken some getting used too. The drive train is really noisey compared to what I've had in the past and it concerns me a little. My plans are to change all the oils on the car as a first protocol just for peace of mind. So here she is in all her glory.
  13. It was a private sale in going to check the sensor when I get home
  14. Thanks for the replies it's when the cat is stationary you hear the clunk no history of clutch or flywheel change but full service history yes even at 6000rpm it doesn't go above 35psi hence why I've only taken it there once. Thanks therhorne
  15. I picked up my zed Saturday and know they have a loud drive train but just how loud is loud. When the car is running and you press the clutch there is a loud clonking noise. When you coast in gear in first the is like a grinding noise where it sounds like it's almost taking up some slack out of something and rattles almost doesn't seem to do it once warm though. I'm going to replace the gearbox and diff oil this week though and see if it improves. Next is oil pressure once warm at idle I'm getting between 15-20psi but no matter what the engine speed it never going above 35psi I've checked the oil level and she It full any help on any of these niggles would be appreciated. Thanks thethorne
