Why has my signature photo disappeared ?
coldel replied to ATTAK Z's topic in Forum IT Issues & Bug Reporting
Noticed a few images are missing from threads at the moment, could be the host server (ie Photobucket) experiencing problems -
Which is why there is a rating system, generally you can gauge a company based on this - of course its not full proof but its much more reliable to buy from a company with 20,000 sales and 100% positive reviews than off some chap on gumtree.

Some very iffy graphics on that review page - certainly make the tyre look like it is night and day between braking distances when in fact it is just a couple of %

I don't think its a case of if it works or not, more that there are some very dubious claims. Cataclean for instance claims 60% less soot on its marketing without actually having anything other than some customer comments to prove it - which is quite frankly, illegal.

For fun when I used to live in Paris, I jumped a train to Cognac and cycled back to Paris on my own, my learning's were: Don't cycle long distances on your own with no support, its a stupid and dangerous thing to do Hardly any mobile signal outside the main cities On Sunday's there is nothing open outside the main cities, I had to knock on peoples doors to replenish water It is hilly in France (as above) It's stunningly beautiful in rural France The roads are amazing I saw farmers with shotguns in Cognac as I mistakenly (I think) cycled where I shouldn't have

Its interesting reading the response from Cataclean, that they actually had no evidence on record apart from 'motorist claims' that their product worked and actually they were hoping to get use of a facility at some point to prove their product. You would have thought that proving the product works before putting the claims on is a start point, not a point that you consider if you are challenged on your claims. Highly suspicious

Ironically it's not, it's a sodding Enzo underneath! No it isnt, its somewhere between 300 and 400% stiffer in the chassis for a start. A man at Dallara told me that, he also told me that the stiffest chassis in production was the RR Phantom, by quite a long way. Anyway, back OT - as brillo said, why not a Z4? Its halfway between a Z33 and an SLK for me, not very hairdressery and the 3.5 goes like absolute buggery. M3's are superb but a fair step up from what youre talking about in running costs, at this point Im required by law to mention that the 135i is a much better car as well Thanks docwra for putting a Z4 into the mix, great car I agree, i had thought about one but saw one blazing merrily on the hard shoulder a while back. I have also seen on you tube a Lamborghini setting fire to itself, wouldn't stop me from owning one if I had the chance though

Since when has turning on the lights been such a chore that it needs technology to do it for us -
Just to confirm, you dont have to remove the skirts, you just take the bolts out and refit with the step in place.

Swapped s2000 for my new zed (good or bad)

Seems to me at the moment S2000 prices are climbing? There are certainly not as many available online to buy as I remember there being when I briefly looked a couple of years back... -
Is your number plate starting LS64?

Great initiative to try and use this tech, but without being an expert (and flame me if this sounds daft) would this part not be something that effectively has to survive the lifetime of the engine? If you effectively glue it in place, its there to stay, or would you consider replacing it each year for instance? Is 1000 miles and a week in the freezer going to replicate 100,000 miles and many thousands of temperature changes over its lifetime to be confident to say its good to go? Just a thought...

If you already have some degredation to the wheels, will that not just carry on under the plastidip? Personally I think just drive and enjoy, and keep some money aside for a refurb in the new year.

Slightly aggrieved with the UK press on this - Haiti get absolutely lashed, humanitarian crisis, disease will kill many more but when the hurricane hit them they barely made the news you had to scan down the articles to find it - now its actually going to hit the US suddenly its on all the front pages and talk of a theme park having to close for a couple of days is big news. Sad state of the times really.

Wife bought a 55 plate Renault Megane for £1500 with 49k miles on it full renault service history and brand new pirelli tyres etc. 12k miles later never missed a beat no problems at all, except the rear passenger window motor seizing up although thats ok as Alfies child seat is that side so actually works as a very effective bit of childproofing

I believe the intercoolers were different on the MR2s (top mount ones) you often get MR2 owners trying to buy them when Celica owners upgrade. They make a big difference to the power potential. But you are right some cars will go to 310 some higher, general consensus is 330 max on internals. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Banking with fingerprint login - good or bad thing ?
coldel replied to ATTAK Z's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Odds are people do not use their little finger - its probably in 80% of cases going to be a thumb or index finger I would have thought? -
It really depends on which one you came up against. Mine is boggo standard with no boost work, so running standard boost at 0.9bar but has had a panel filter and replacement exhaust put on which on the dyno put me at 281bhp which given the kerbweight of a GT4 is around 120kgs less than a zed makes it more than capable of tagging along with a Zed convoy Its quite common though to have gone stage 1 which means FMIC, boost controller and winding up the boost to around 1.1bar which puts you in 330bhp territory - if you come up against one of these then you might be struggling a bit on the b roads. The next stage is forging and turbo/ECU switches which sticks them up and over 400bhp. All in 4WD

Banking with fingerprint login - good or bad thing ?

Its like anything, you can be robbed if someone has the desire and drive to do it. Was it safer to walk around with £15k in your pocket to view that car to pay by cash? Or even be paid by cash at home where you could easily be robbed, car driven off, fake money passed over etc. Its not 100% but its less dangerous than how we have banked in the past - its probably on par with passwords but fingerprints are just more convenient aren't they? -
Happy belated birthday humpmeister-general!
