This term most likely evolved as a prefix to "chinaman", whereby westerners perceived the Chinese as having slits for eyes, ergo 'chinks'. The Oxford English Dictionary lists 'Chink' when used in this context, as offensive. So therefore is in no way comparable to the shortening of the correct term for a national, i.e. 'Brit' for British, 'Scot' for Scottish.

It's more likely that the 7 degree threshold refers to ambient temperature rather than tyre temperature at any given state.

BREAKING 350Z HR (NO engine or gearbox thou for sale)

You could be right. The later post is newer than the edit to the first post (5). Maybe easier to give them a ring. -
BREAKING 350Z HR (NO engine or gearbox thou for sale)
Watshot replied to Mark@Abbey m/s's topic in Abbey Motorsport
According to post 5, page 1, it's sold Adam1942. Along with the rear lights. -
The search will probably work better with "clicky axle" rather than 'axel'.

The Legion have run out on their site, but there are plenty on ebay.

Unclip the upper middle piece of trim in the grille, the tow eye hole is behind, dead centre.

Street attack on performer at the Bullring Disgusting!

And if the kid he landed on cracked his head on the concrete and dies? Mr Vince is all like "I didn't mean it, we was just like messin, an that". If you instigate an action then you are responsible for the consequences. -
Actually, I'm Spartacus. I didn't need the key fob back Rich, It was a spare after the key cutter messed up the blade. I had to buy another to get it cut successfully. If you recall, I was keen on a Nismo decal for it as a swap, so you could experiment with the case before offering flip key stuff up for sale. I'll PM my details for when you get the stickers ready. You can use the case to get your first exchange going for anyone that want's the carbon look. Cheers.

313ps is closer to 309bhp. Actually 308.7 or 230.2kw.

Buying 313 - can't quite find info I'm looking for
Watshot replied to NeilMH's topic in 350Z General
In addition to the new HR/313 twin intake engine, the other obvious signs that you have the HR model are the revised bonnet with the hump in it to accommodate the new engine (although this can be retro-fitted to the DE models), a rev counter that has an increased red line limit to 7500 rpm, and an illuminated ring around the ignition which lights up when you unlock the car. I have an HR and there is no mention of this on the V5, just "350 Z", so don't believe everything you read. I do however have all of the above. -

By definition, an HR is a 313ps engine with two intakes. If you have one intake, you don't have an HR/313. You (Terence) probably have a late registered Revup/DE, and have been misled when purchasing perhaps. -
The site: 'how many left' quotes over two thousand sold in '04 and again in '05, with 1.5k and 1.1k in '06/'07. A peak of 7825 were taxed or sorn'd in '09. So it looks like the guy from Nissan was mistaken.

Service requirements are detailed in the handbook here: http://metafaq.nissa...oklet190605.pdf about halfway down. This applies to several models so you have to read the parameters carefully to match the 350. i.e. the P2 and P3 are identical given that the Z has a viscous diff. Additional items can apply to ANY service based on time/mileage. Otherwise fairly straightforward. Plugs are Denso Iridium FXE22HR-11.

I found that turning on the 'compatibility view' cured this problem, but lost some other features. I toggle between the two depending on requirements.

This is a similar site for Nissan, and shows the clips you need, Part 4 (96022CD000). http://nissan4u.com/parts/350z/er_z33/2006_3/type_4/miscellaneous/air_spoiler/

They are push on clips similar in look to what Doogy has posted but without the bolt holes. Either Nissan or someone like Zmanalex will have them.

http://www.courtesyparts.com/350z-parts-z33-2003-2008/accessories/emblems/-c-714_881_1243.html?page=2 Plenty of choice here, if you can afford the import charges. Sometimes worthwhile if you buy a lot of stuff. Sills and other stuff on other pages.

Sigs turned off. Easy. Don't have to wade through all of that BS / I'm missing a lot of valuable input. You decide, I can't see it.

'Velocity Stack'. First appeared on the Rev-up cars '06. Retrofit to the first series cars for best air box configuration on the DE.

I can't recommend anything other than what I opted for myself, as that is all I have tried, based on my own research etc. a couple of years ago. I bought the Magicshine MJ-816. Also known as the Mickey Mouse I believe as it has two side lights that look like Mickey ears! I think it cost a little under a hundred at the time. I can honestly say that this thing is brighter than some motorbike headlamps I have used in the 80's. On full whack, cars are dipping before rounding a corner because they think another car is coming, but not to worry, it actually dips itself as the beam would be too much for oncoming vehicles. You have the choice of pushing the button and holding it whilst the output reduces to around 5% (although this can take 2 or 3 seconds, so you need advance warning) or a couple of sharp pushes switches to the 'side' lights which have a wide beam, ideal for keeping sight of the road edge but not offending any motorists. This is what I choose to do, and have not had any problems. It uses a rechargeable Li-ion pack, with a fuel gauge which lets you know when it's low. The only criticism would be the rubber 'o' ring fitting for the lamp body. They are fine for the switch and other light weight parts, but I ended up making a more substantial clamp fitting to ensure that the beam doesn't drop every time you hit a pothole. Other than that, I can't fault it. I can see everything in the road directly ahead of me like it's daylight, and the additional flat beam from the 'ears' gives great wide peripheral vision. Definitely worth a look in your price range.

The crankshaft should drive both belts, with the aircon pulley on the right when looking from the front of the car. Have a look here: http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/350Z/coupe/2006/em.pdf Section 14.

Depends on the model, DE has two belts, HR has only one. But from what you describe it sounds like you have the DE with a missing belt.
