Gives good smooth power , gained some power from last time on the dyno due to me be happy as the belt isn't slipping now so leaned the motor off a little. Over 10 SC DE powered 350Z cars now tuned @ Abbey Motorsport on the Dynapack dyno with good results all on the stock remapped ECU with the Uprev software. Don't like to spam a customers thread but Adrian is a pleasure to work with. Nice safe well tuned car , have fun in Wales guys.

Is this the car I was emailed about today? Chap called Shane? If it is the same car the email didn't say anything about a broken conrodjust mentioned excessive engine noise. Maybe this car had been run on unleaded 95 octane fuel for a long period. If you want to get anywhere with Nissan your have to have the motor stripped by Nissan which your have to push Nissan to do and you may have to pay for this yourself then take the matter up with Nissan. Thanks

If your going in the front cover change everything. will help with selling that it has all been changed; I can supply the parts if needed , will take a week or so to arrive but far better price than Nissan UK prices.

Sly, I thought it was £1000-00 for the whole job.
-
Sorry but your never do the job in the Nissan time's Sly, it takes around 1/1.5 hours to clean the mating surfaces off after stripping the front cover and other items off. I think it is a day work at least , we done a few over the last few years it isnt a nice job TBH. If I was going to do the job I would change all the chains/guides and tensioners to make sure everything was good.

Won't fit RHD cars I am afraid. Want a set for our race car once we build the big rpm motor.

I have never seem to be able to get to the bottom of whether you can "turn on" the cruise function of Jdm's so long as you have the rest of the gubbins, is it possible Mark? Just need the switch set up for the stock steering wheel then with a remap we can make the cruise work.

not yet , still speaking to a few different possible dealers.

Few pictures from Friday test session; car looks pretty good, front bumper is now a slightly different shape thou.

TLM 350z Donington (Test for Race)

Bennett , we was running Syvecs not the stock ECU for the race. Will get the ECU sent tomorrow. Once you have paid the deposit. -
3 gears limiter removal is done on a Uprev remap. The limiter isn't an opening restriction it is a response limiter in the lower gears the response between the throttle pedal being pressed and the throttle butterfly opening is slowed in the lower gears to make the car more "soft" to drive. When we remap we remove this restriction so making the throttle response "sharper".

Euro and JDM cruise switches are different. Cipher wont work as it is only Diagnostic you need to upload a cruise map with Osiris Standard/Tuner or a Pro dealer to load the correct map. -
Anyone in the UK done an LS conversion yet?

Getting the new motor running and talk to the stock can bus system is easy. Use a Syvecs S8 ECU configure the custom can from the Syvecs to talk to the stock ambush circuit via canbus box and your dash/heater BCM will all work like a stock car. Full traction control as well. -
Adrian, what do you think of the car now? Power delivery nice and smooth , throttle response good? Sam, yes we can get these nailed quite nicely now , I think 360lb/ft is the safe limit for the motor torque wise , SC is far safer than Turbo charging as Turbo makes a lot of torque even at low RPM conditions this is what kills the stock rods. Sc makes boost in relation to RPM so you never get the big wave of torque like a turbo motor. I have tuned a few to 420+ hub bhp with no issue s on the stock ECU, we tune the torque/power out of the mid range with cam work not retarding the ignition timing so not causing any high Exhaust gas temperature's which Is can/will cause issues. Cant wait to tune a motor with Syvecs S6 thou think we could go for 450+ hub bhp and limit the torque mid-range torque by not opening the throttle fully until over a certain rpm. This will help keep the motor in one piece.

Motordyne - group buy interest ?

On a FI car we have found from testing a thicker plenums spacers works. -
copper slip or white grease on the threads will and does stop corrosion, spent a few years in the Motorsport game building cars, my forte was plumbing hard lines/flexible, re usable/crimped fittings. when I had to remove the alloy fuel adaptor to fit my fuel pressure gauge, found PTFE in the fuel lines not good, manage to pick this out.
-
Sam he is running another 0.2bar boost over you. I tuned car back to 400hub 350lb/ft with the belt slipping. Still good numbers few issues to sort out during the day. And WHO likes the PTFE tape on the JIC unions IT IS NOT NEEDED the connectors seal on the taper on the ends not the THREADS :teeth: :teeth:

Main issue we have seen is that the top of the block is open deck. Top of sleeves aren't supported. But I agree running liners is a pain as they sometimes move after fitment. we have motors running 600bhp with no liners without any issue. If your going to run liners use Darton closed deck liners , just get a new block shipped to Darton in the US get them to fit the liners and get it shipped to you. That's what we ran in project Zed , liners where never the issue we just used to pull the top out of the blocks but we was running nearly triple the power you want to run. Just fit a HR motor will run 550bhp stock.
