  1. GT4 / Rev up models ( 2 x variable cam timing) , I have a car already lined up , it is a car that I have rebuilt the motor on , so we know the car is in A1 condition. Also have a Standard HR engine ( latest model) car lined up so will have a generic map sorted for that soon as well. Finally had time to sit down and have a think , really need a totally STD early car to start with before we move onto what I call Stage 1 mods. So I need a early car (Gen 1 ECU,ed) single variable cam timing 2002/2003 car to tune. I would need the car for around 2/3 days , we can supply a courtesy car for you to use while we are tuning your car. Once we get this sorted I let the tweaked car people know. Mark

  4. If you want to know , I think Uprev are the people that tuned the Nismo ECU. We have some Nismo maps on the Uprev system. But if it is a Gen 1 ECU it wont allow multi maps , but all Gen 2 allow you to have 4 maps. But you would loose your nismo map , unless we can dump your ECU send it to Uprev they can then patch and then allow us to reload it if needed. But a Nismo map is for 100 octane fuel , not like our parraffin 98 octane. The cars would love to run on some proper octane fuel i know...
  5. Just having a quick bite to eat at my desk , really busy at the moment getting a drag car ready for the weekend. Once I am back in the office next week , I work out what car will work best ( I have a STD car for every other model) but a mildly tuned car will be good. Z fanatic , we just had the patch done for the GT4 cars like yours I hope to tune one within the next 2/3 weeks I let you know how we get on. Dont think we will be able to give you any more revs as the limit on RPM is the alloy valve caps, to many revs can cause these to fail.
  6. Import I presume? can you get me the ecu number , we are working on the de limiter on the JDM car,s at the moment , I have a JDM car that we are trying to sort out the limiter. Will keep you in the know as to speak now who want,s a cheap deal on a remap then , Early UK car with exhaust system, mainfold spacer and air filter kit? Mark
  7. We find the thin oil(cold) is not good with these engines ,the thicker oil helps a little with valve train noise. If you want a 5w oil we can supply without any trouble , but we are happier to use a 10w-40 oil. Mark

Been working out a game plan for the pricing of the Up rev remaps; My thoughts are as follows; On all 350Z car VQ35DE and HR If you car is std or just an exhaust/air filter/ manifold spacer, I am trying to provide a reflash that will tweak the fuel/ignition and cam maps.This will not involve any remapping just a straight up load and a before/after dyno run. Once the Uprev license is uploaded you will be able at a later date have the map tweaked to suit you car or after adding any more mods all the map to be mapped to suit your new mods. would this suit the majority of 350Z owners? I will then be able to provide a Up rev license and mapping service for all other set up,s including APS T/T kits removing the Unichip set up and other N/A and charged set up,s. I am still working on prices thou , I am very busy this week with dyno work as I have been on holiday I hope to have some prices worke dout next week sometime. Mark

Below is the prices for P1/2/3 services for the DE and HR motors; All the prices are for cars with STD oil capacity , we will use your own oil thou (you will need to remove the oil from the service price) All prices include labour and all parts We use genuine Nissan parts and will check the ECU for any fault codes with our Nissan consult.   11. Just a little help with your tuning list the Kinetix dont work at all on N/A car ,I have (had) one on my JDM just losses torque and bhp at low rpm and only gives a very small increase at the top end. Motordyne spacer works the best we find. Mark
  12. If you go with a Rev up remap you can turn the error code of for the rear lambda sensors , which is especially good for when you remove the Cats and fit test pipes. Mark
  13. Best thing to do is get the part number from the ECU , then Uprev dealers can work out if they have the correct Rom file to allow the tuning to be done to your ecu. You can either remove the ecu and read the part number or a frindly Nissan dealer can see the Ecu number if they connect a consult to your car.
  14. def top end noise , has your car been using oil? really need to hear it 1st hand , but I would say def get the cam covers off and have a good look at all the cam lobes.

  16. sounds like a weak synchro , have you changed the oil?if so what came out with the oil anything metal? Gearbox can be rebuilt , but it may be cheaper to fit a good S/H gearbox.

My ideas, the car have non hydraulic tappets (lifters ) the Bucket under the cam come in many diiferent sizes that you replace to get the correct valve clearance (tappets clearance in old days) If you need to adjust the clearances it is a pain job , the motor is better off coming out as you need to remove the engine front covers then the cam chains and then the cams. The cars do have trouble with the cam chain tensioners if they have been run low on oil again they can be done in the car but it is far better to pull the motor to do this job. Can you record the engine noise and host the vid on u tube or mail it to me mark(@) abbeymotorsport.co.uk so I can listen to it and then I maybe able to shed some light on what the problem maybe. hope this helps
  18. Sounds like BCM control module under the radio in the centre condole. disconnect the box and refit this sometimes works. have you a local friendly Nissan dealer? Consult will help you out. Mark
  19. okay , working on service pricing, we only use quality oil and genuine parts. Been looking at the Up Rev stuff, looks like we cant provide the multi map(switched by the cruise control sw) that UpRev do for the US nissans, seems our Euro ECU,s has to much Code packed into the flash rom to allow the patch to be loaded into the ECU to allow this to work. But I have some idea,s which I hope to work with Up Rev with. Will be in touch within a few days with pricing on above ideas. Mark

Hi all 350z owners I presume most people have heard about us , we been around the Skyline world for a few years , slowly we have been seeing more and more 350z,s so we thought it was time to take out an advert on the excellent forum. We have in house dyno facilities , Up Rev dealers and HKS F-con Power writer dealers. Full workshop facilities for servicing and repairs as well as engine rebuild,s /gearbox,s and other transmission units; We have the lastest laser 4 wheel alignment and corner weight guages for precise suspension set up. We also have the Nissan Consult for full Nissan main dealer diagnostic facilities. Any questions please ask away , I do spend a lot of time in our dyno room so I may take a day or so to reply.
