  1. Have you got a tracker fitted? Mark
  2. yeah I Understood what you mean , I was talkng about not lookng at the top end figures , more about the drivability of the car , smoothing out the throttle response. The 100% throttle helps to.....
  3. I like that spoiler, looks good on a red car as well
  4. Dan, how you getting on fiddling with your controller as to speak...... Mark
  5. Well looks like we are now able to get around the JDM speed limiter now , had my car on the dyno yesterday all good now. I dont have base map,s for the JDM cars yet, as my car has a few parts bolted to it , but we can live map the JDM cars so it wont take long to map your car same price as before £345-00 inc vat. But I thing we may need to keep an eye out is that we may not have all the RAM images for the imports still , we have a few but if you interested in a reflash can you send me the ECU part number 1st so we can see if we have the correct RAM image. We may need to dump your ecu if we dont. So I am afraid you have to wait a few weeks before we can remap if we dont have the RAM image. Mark
  6. Morning all , I see people are starting to understand what we get up to with the tuning of the Z,s with the Uprev system We are now up to speed with the JDM cars , we can remove the 180 KMH limiter when we remap the cars. I dont have any base maps yet fo rthe JDM cars as my car has a few parts bolted to it , but it wont take long to map the JDM cars as we can live map these. Same price as before £345-00 inc vat Mark
  7. My thoughts; 1, you cant compare cars run on different dyno,s (been spoke about before) even running a car in a different gear will make a difference, also running the car over a different run time will make a difference as well. All the 350Z dyno runs we do are in the same gear and over the same time. 2, US boys use SAE compensation agaisnt DIN what we use this gives a different figure. 3, please get the top end figure out of your head AREA under the graph is what counts, also the Z drivabilty is enhanced when tuned you cant see this on a dyno sheet car needs to be driven. I have not had a bad word from anyone that we have tuned so far. 4, The mods we are doing on the cars are never going to find big BHP , the car from Nissan is pretty spot on , cars now days are well developed from the factory so unless it is F/I and we can wind some more boost into the car we are only going to make small increases. 5, the cars need 4 or 5 runs to settle down with regards self learn after any ECU tweaks. 6, any mods we find on a stand alone will have to work against the self learn on the STD ecu. 7, normally if you have a CEL on it will put the car ca ronto the high DET ingnition map so knocking the BHP back. 8, fitting cams in my eyes are only going to lose mid range torque , the limiting factory on the DE engines (276 bhp) to allow you to rev the motor is the valve spring retainers , these over 6800 rpm tend to pull over the valve collets and make a huge mess I feel if you want more BHP from a NA car , you either need to increase CC or if staying with Stock CC , you will need to increase compression ratio to enable the dynamic compression ratio to stay the same after fitting cams , mods to the valve train maybe some rods and pistons, then I say we maybe able to find 330/340 bhp flywheel , but you can get this by blowing the motor S/Cing is the way to go in my eyes thou. any more questions fire away. Mark
  8. still need to get my JDM car back on the dyno to sort out the speed limiter problem , will endeavour to get it sorted this week Anlid.
  9. Ian, when I am at work tomorrow , I,ll give you the data that we run Mark,s car, i.e start rpm ramp rate and finish rpm ,the we can directly compare the run between the 2 cars. But I do have a ace plan ready for Marks car
  10. I would prefer to just add 35bhp to the hub BHP figure than add a % Mark. But even if we quote it at 305 bhp it is a good gain from a STD car as in the 1st graph ( the GREEN plot is a totally stock motor not even had the Uprev reflash)
  11. Yes it funny Nissan after developing the extra valve control on the Revup motor have actuualy made a engine that has less torque than the early DE motor but they do rev on far better. Such a shame a cam change is such a huge job , would be good to fit some cams in a Revup motor to the same spec as a early DE motor and then play with the cams maps. Lots to still do, had a play with a DE 276bhp car yesterday with a few more mods on the figures where very very good , should be posted up on here very soon.
  12. Same REVUP 06 car fitted with plenum spacer and Popcharger BLUE dyno plot std motor fitted with Nismo exhaust and Y pipe STD air box RED dyno plot std motor fitted with Nismo exhaust and Y pipe plenum spacer popcharger air filter No gains over the car run without the above mods, it is known the 06 STD air filter set up is pretty spot on and it seems the plenum spacer only works if you use a Mrev lower collector. I have a lower collector on order so I should have some more information very soon.
  13. UPREV remap on 296bhp car REVUP spec Motor was rebuilt a few thousand miles ago, car has a Nismo exhaust and Y pipe fitted BLUE dyno plot std motor fitted with Nismo exhaust and Y pipe STD air box GREEN dyno plot std motor fitted with Nismo exhaust and Y pipe STD air box + UPREV remap raised the rev limit by 100 rpm, lifted speed limiter to 180mph. Throttle map set up to allow throtle to be opened 100% in all gears. This car can have multi maps. As per information I have gathered it is apparent that the REVUP motor lacks a little in mid range torque agaisnt other 350Z motors even with a remap we cant regain a lot of torque , as normal we can smooth the torque/bhp outputs , also gain a few LB/FT and BHP. any questions feel free to ask. Cost for reflash is £345-00 inc vat , this includes an hour to tweak the map for your car.
  14. Is this complete with all electrical parts? maybe you could post a picture up to show me the part? But if it is complete I take it. Mark
  15. It will be cam chain tensioner not tensioning the chain on initail start up ,thicker oil will help thou ,we use a 10W50 oil which does seem tohelp.
  16. Think I never told you lot that we 2 lovely Micra,s as courtesy cars that can be used when your cars are in our hands. just ask Scott when you book your car in, if you require a car.
  17. Well , I gone and brought another one......a Z that is. Yes we have a Import Z as a mule, but I must admit the cars are so nice to drive , I have gone and brought a UK 276bhp Chilli Red car. So now Abbey have 2 to play with as to speak; The JDM car will become a fully blown track car, might even go and play with Steve in the Nippon series next year if all goes well. Lots to do proper cage , lightning work , safety equipment. The UK car will become more a demo car also will be used for some development work , we are trying to get round the problem with the UK ECU not being able to be lived mapped, owning a UK car ourselves will help speed this up. It will be modded ( how can a car not be) got a few idea,s to compliment the awesome Red colour exterior. But engine mods havent decided yet, maybe just a Y pipe and a UpRev reflash for now. But I do have a HKS S/C kit that may find it,s way onto the car. No pictures yet your have to wait and see.
  18. 296bhp base car(ish) has been tuned, will get some dyno plots up on here very soon.
  19. Lee, I have a boot mat for the new car........seems me and Jamie are going to come and collect it , maybe a night out on the drink......can you cope with 2 southerners.......
  20. My JDM car fitted with DC headers , Kinetix cats and DC Sports dual system , sounds awesome, not to loud thou , still need time to finally finish the UpRev map thou...
  21. Cheers for that Bennet, been speaking to my friends in the US , and they say the same re Mrev set up and spacer kit can help gain the mid range torque that the 296bhp car lack. Another thing they say is removing the Cats gain a lot of midrange torque , I am worried that the exhaust noise will become obtrusive. But I do have a set of test pipe shere that we will try on a car very soon. Another item they say is that if you remove the Cats the STD exhaust is pretty good re flow and keeping the noise under control. So something to try soon. I have just finished a tune on a 296bhp car , found 10 bhp top end and torque all throught he rev range. Will stick a post on the Abbey Uprev thread very soon with dyno plots. Also have a dyno plot of a 276 v,s 296 v,s a 313 car which is preety good to look at.
  22. okay , better look at a local garage for a cheap deal , best to got to someone that knows the Z thou. Mark
