  1. Over 8 weeks have passed since Tony my Dad had his accident , he is now home recuperating, still having Physio and therapy session but today was the 1st time he came back to the Abbey Motorsport headquarters; Made me have a tear in my eye to see him sat at his desk and in the workshop; He is getting so much better sure it wont be long before he is back in his engine building room.
  2. I have a person/company in mind I need to speak to the chap again hopefully on Sunday if not early next week. Company is very well known and has a good name. 1st bunch of cars I will travel up to Scotland and carry out the tuning. be in touch very soon.
  3. whats the issue with the engine if you think you need a solenoid?
  4. Sticking wastegate? Or sticking dump valve? Sticking dump valve won't make any difference to mpg as the airflow meters are after the dump valve so if the dump valves is leaking you don't get any difference on Air flow meter voltages,
  5. I am at Knockhill on Sunday..... Get some people together and I will find a dyno. Ross , so did i manage to sort the hesitation then?
  6. 307bhp at the hubs. so circ 345bhp at the flywheel.
  7. Stu , will have a full quote with you shortly , we also have a Consult 3 that allows us to reset the throttles/ and VVEL during the service. I think we are the only Independent in the UK with a Consult 3 and relevant information to allow us to set up a 370Z correctly.( I maybe wrong)
  8. On the 8th of August we nearly lost the founder of this great family business, Tony had a fairly slow speed off from his motorbike but unfortunately the injuries he received during the accident have meant he is still under hospital care. His true strength and pure grit have brought him back from life threatening injuries. Abbey Motorsport would sincerely like to thank all their valued customers who have stood by us during this difficult time and kept Tony in their thoughts. We are so very grateful to all the Abbey boys, they have truly pulled together allowing Mark & Sarah valuable time out to spend with their Dad and be there to support him as much as possible. Abbey Motorsport have a truly great team, thank you all. Thankfully Tony is improving every day and we are all looking forward to the day he can rejoin us at the workshop, which, he can not wait to do! Abbey Motorsport is still open for business as usual. Thanks
  9. Thanks Vlad, no problem , pleased we got there in the end. See you on the 24th.

  12. There is only 4 Uprev dealers in the UK Abbey Motorsport TDI North (Abbey Sub dealer) Warrington RS Tuning in Leeds Horsham Developments (Berkshire) And there is also a dealer in Ireland TDP in Wicklow just south of Dublin. We have seen a few cars tuned with the generic tunes which we know does work with these cars , we always tune every car on our in house Dynapack. Get you car remapped with Uprev far better system, you can even re-flash the car back to stock if needed. Any questions ask away.
  13. Hi, sure we can sort this out but with the Spec of the motor I really need to tune this car live 1st as we cant tune the ignition timing remotely as we need to listen for detonation. I do travel to tune cars thou , we can supply a cable with a base map to start the car and get it running for you to check everything out prior to tuning. email mark@abbeymotorsport.co.uk we can discuss the tune out. Mark
  14. Send me your details to mark@abbeymotorsport.co.uk. I will send you a couple.
  15. the weakness of the DE motor is con rod strength , when the car is at peak torque, cylinder pressure is at the maximum this is what breaks the con rods.
  16. Stock car puts the force from the springs through the chassis legs. Converting to true coil overs puts the load through the turrets which only normally takes damper load. You need to reinforce the turrets to take the spring load as well. Simple to do but does take time.
  17. It isn't BHP that hurts the con rod's it is mid range torque. We will run 420 hub bhp with out a worry but nothing over 360lb/ft of torque. when yoyu say stock block I presume you mean stock rods and pistons?
  18. You cant turn the ESP off I am afraid by a switch , you can remove the G sensor connection that will turn off all the ESP and TCS.
  19. The stock blocks don't crack. They are open deck so they suffer from the top of the bores moving around. Early motors DE/Up Rev suffer from chocolate con rods, these motors suit SC as they are torque limited. HR's will take more grunt happy to run 450ish hub bhp after that customer is on his on but the HR will run either Turbo or SC very well. Closed deck liner the block and we seen 1700+ bhp from a stock block.
  20. yes it is yep £75-00 + postage This car had |Sat Nav so no compartment door is fitted I am afraid again late model dash car so no cup holder in the passenger side dash. sorry already gone
  21. I am away at the moment and I don't seem to be getting updates on the thread. Once I am back in the office I will answer all the questions Rear lights sold sometime ago I am afraid.
  22. £120-00 inc vat. thanks
  23. I got one or two you can borrow!!!!!
  24. yes the wiring should be there , the US cars are different to the JDM we have found. yes we normally gain a little on MPG after a remap
