Stock Vortech system in my eyes isnt very good; The extra pump in the fuel line just boost the fuel pressure to an un-controlled pressure as there isn't a pressure reg after the in line fuel pump; The stock dead end fuel system run the fuel pressure regulator in the fuel tank. The split fire system is a piggy back system and the 350Z ECU doesn't like having the input/output signals adjusted. And as Sam says if the boost ID pipe to the piggy back controller splits or is blocked instant engine melt down ( a lot of engine use this idea of measuring boost pressure for map sensors/boost controllers without any issues thou so Sam is just being super safe) So when the 2nd fuel pump is triggered it increases the fuel pressure too the injectors to increase fuelling. What we advise people to do with existing fitted Vortech SC kits or kits we fit when we do an install. fuel return system and uprated fuel pump in the tank UPREV uprated AFM larger sized injectors Uprev license and remap allows the ECU to work like stock with full closed loop fueling and knock control up to 5000rpm like a stock car. If you car isn't a UK DE you can even have multi maps switched by the cruise control switch. We have the tune sorted now the car drive like a stock car including cold/hot starting.

Is there a throttle limiter in the first few gears of the 5AT gearbox as well? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD no but we remap the max torque require to make the gear change a little more urgent and precise on the Auto's.
-
Most stock cars gain around 10+bhp and same in torque running with decays always gain more bhp/torque. But the best gain is the throttle response and the removal of the throttle limiter in the lower 3 gears. Yes we can sort the CEL caused by running decays while we tune the car. Mark

We are £402-00 inc vat for a Uprev remap on our dyno. UK and JDM ignition maps are the same no difference , the fuel maps slightly different but nothing major. You cant swop ECU across as the cars has coded ECU for the NATS immobilizer system. Any questions ask away.

Abbey Motorsport staged upgrades for the 350 and 370Z 350Z DE 276bhp Stage 1 Supply and fit plenum spacer/velocity stack/HKS panel filter and ECU tuned on dyno Cost £723.35 inc vat Gains of around 10/15bhp and the same in torque , throttle response enhanced in the lower 3 gears Rev limiter and speed limiter raised. Stage 2 Same as above + full Milltek system including Y pipe. Cost £1571.93 inc vat Sportier noise but not to noisy, gain in mid range torque from stage 1 and a few more bhp top end. Stage 3 Same main mods as stage 1 and 2 but with either Berks HFC or De-cats Cost with Berks HFC is £2049.93 inc vat Cost with Berks De-cats is £1871.93 inc vat Running HFC or decats your be looking at nearly 300bhp flywheel bhp a gain over 20bhp from the stock car and a good gain mid range torque over stage 1 and 2. Using the Milltek system the exhaust noise is nice and not to aggressive but your get a small rasp around 4000RPM Further tuning can be done but quote as per customers requirements. 350Z REV UP engines 300bhp Stage 1 Supply and fit plenum spacer/HKS panel filter and ECU tuned on dyno Cost £652.85 inc vat Gains of around 10/15bhp and the same in torque , throttle response enhanced in the lower 3 gears Rev limiter and speed limiter raised. Stage 2 Same as above + full Milltek system including Y pipe. Cost £1501.43 inc vat Sportier noise but not to noisy, gain in mid range torque from stage 1 and a few more bhp top end. Stage 3 Same main mods as stage 1 and 2 but with either Berks HFC or De-cats Cost with Berks HFC is £1979.43 inc vat Cost with Berks De-cats is £1801.43 inc vat Cars with cruise will also get 5 throttle response maps loaded these are switched by the cruise switch. We can also add a unleaded map instead of 1 of the throttle response maps. These car never seem to give the 300bhp quoted by Nissan thou but after the upgrades they do pick torque up in the mid range. We offer more work to the REV up to gain torque we fit a Motordyne lower collector this can be quoted separately. 350Z HR engines 313bhp Stage 1 Supply and fit HKS panel filters and ECU tuned on dyno Cost £407.54 inc vat Gains of around 10/15bhp and the same in torque , throttle response enhanced in the lower 3 gears Rev limiter and speed limiter raised. Stage 2 Same as above + full Milltek system including Y pipe. Cost £1256.12 inc vat Sportier noise but not to noisy, gain in mid range torque from stage 1 and a few more bhp top end. Stage 3 Same main mods as stage 1 and 2 but with either Berks HFC or De-cats Cost with Berks HFC is £1769.12 inc vat Cost with Berks De-cats is £1591.12 inc vat These car with the stage 3 conversion see nearly 290 hub bhp up from around 265/270bhp for a stock car , gain some fuel economy as well. Further work can be carried out but we prefer to discuss this with the customer. Cars with cruise will also get 5 throttle response maps loaded these are switched by the cruise switch. We can also add a unleaded map instead of 1 of the throttle response maps. 370Z VHR 323bhp Stage 1 Supply and fit HKS panel filters and ECU tuned on dyno Cost £407.54 inc vat Gains of around 10/15bhp and the same in torque , throttle response enhanced in the lower 3 gears Rev limiter and speed limiter raised. Further work can be carried out but we prefer to discuss this with the customer. Cars with cruise will also get 5 throttle response maps loaded these are switched by the cruise switch. We can also add a unleaded map instead of 1 of the throttle response maps. All bhp gain are estimate as all cars are different . cars be re-flashed back to stock if needed. We also carry out FI conversions all models, please email or ring for quotes. All work can be carried out at; Abbey Motorsport www.abbeymotorsport.co.uk Or at or sub dealers TDI North www.tdi-north.com TDP in Ireland www.tdp.ie We will need to re quote in Euro’s due to shipping charges for Irish fitted kits. The Irish cars can be tuned for Unleaed fuel as well. any questions ask away please.

Yes, assuming the gearbox / shifter has got the appropriate sensors. On this car we've got a strain sensor on the shift linkage so the ECU knows if you're trying to up or down through the gears. stock the Zed wont do this as Jez says but with a strain gauge fitted yes it is doable, but Bennet we are only quoting to use a S6 not the all singing and dancing S8 like Jez is using on this build.

Really interested in this option- but recent experience with a Bluefin on my BMW 520D has soured my confidence- the Dual Mass Flywheel central bearing shattered then the whole engine ate itself when the timing chain jumped the car also needed a replacement inlet manifold as the old one had loosened its swirl flaps and was clogged with unburnt fuel- can't say it was definitely the upgrade from 350Nm to 450Nm that caused it but..... Having seen the 350Z supercharged to silly bhp I am right in assuming that my 2004 276bhp will have the strength to deal with an Uprev- especially as i'm using it mainly for trackdays and it will sit at 6000rpm for most of its life? The DE motor is fine for track work we have no worries for you to run the car on the track, I imagine the BMW was just unlucky after the remap how many miles had the BMW done? BMW was Bluefinned at 60k - DMF failed within 10k and engine died at 100k- problem was most of the miles were M6 and M74 totally cruising! I take it the DE is good for approx 15hp increase with basic Uprev- is this a physical chip or is it remapped via the OBD? Plus what tweaks can be made when on the RR? Generally 10+ bhp is gained from a remap with UPREV the best gain is the more responsive throttle response in the lower 3 gears. We run the stock DE over 400 hub bhp with carefully tuning, We tune via the OBD port. any questions ask away

I think it is bad, just sitting in traffic I have recorded 60+ deg C inlet charge, even if the AFM ( which houses the IAT ( air inlet temp) cools quickly the alloy pipework takes longer to cool. Plasticstock airbox/pipework works fine seen over 325 hub bhp on a 370Z running stock airboxes.
-
stock air boxes work the best , they may not give the same top end bhp but suffer from less heat soak issue.
-
free coffee and toast how about that?

Nissan 370Z Milltek exhaust/Berks HFC's and Uprev remap
Mark@Abbey m/s replied to Mark@Abbey m/s's topic in Performance
we could have both set ups tuned on your ECU switched via the cruise switch so you could run with stock or HFC's
