Built a lot of nice cars in 2012; Red 34GTR for our customer and friend Denis from Crotia; He has 2 cars built by Abbey a red 34 GTR 2.8ltr V cam HKS T04Z turbo and the ex John Bradshaw 33GTR 2.6 ltr 2530's track car Also built a lovely 205GTI for a customer he has had a few GTR's over the year, Mi16 motor , full roll cage , throttle bodies very nicely built car Run a few track cars for people we have built a rather nice 32GTR over a 5+ year period- 500+bhp 2.6ltr RB, Holinger gearbox,AST triple adjustable dampers, wide track front suspension,Stoptech Brakes. quick video of it running @ Spa this year Built numerous F/I 350Z's and re tuned a lot of N/A Zeds with Uprev software and working with Syvecs to allow standalone ECU's to work on all the 350Z models. Nissan 350Z HR engined with GTM stage 1 SC kit fitted Goes from 290bhp hub to 440 hub bhp running only 0.7bar boost , just working on Syvecs S8 install on these late cars with Ryan. Slowly seeing more and more R35GTR pass through our shop and we are also developing our own Nissan Juke DIG T , keep an eye on our Facebook pages and our new website which should be up and running in early 2013. 5. Abbey Motorsport 2012 2012 has been a good year for everyone @ Abbey Motorsport , we have worked on plenty of car and say thank you to past, present and future customers of Abbey Motorsport for their support in 2012, thought I would just have a quick think about what sticks in my memory from this year. Jeff Ludgates awesome 8.8 sec run at the JDS Final meeting of 2012 John Bradshaw consistent 6.6 @ 200+ mph run in Project Zed We travelled across the water with Motul and Project Zed this year; 1st we went to Le Mans for the Moto GP French round , weather played havoc but we still got to run the car Then we travelled to Germany where a badly prepared track caused a lot of long sad faces, then we travelled to Tierp in Sweden which again was plagued with bad weather but we did get to run the car in anger Straight off the truck 6.73 @ 330 kph. cant embedded this video it seems The Swedes loved the car , makes plenty of noise and doesnt go bad for only 3.5ltr they say. Was good to race against some mad Volvo's turbo cars. Hope we can go back with Project Zed 2 which we hope will be built in 2013 to run in Top door Slammer V8 Nissan powered twin turbo which we hope will go deep into the 5's
  6. Hi guys and girls hope your all having a lovely few days off. So what do we have planed for 2013; 1, Syvecs ECU development for HR 350Z, we have brought a damaged HR engine 350Z to allow us to install this into our early model development car, we have the patch loom drawn up and away being built , we will get the ECU installed and the stock car up and running on a good base map sorted ( traction and throttle maps) then we can move on to supplying a plug and play for the HR cars. 2.Trying to work a cheaper S/C kit install on the early DE cars , as the cars are getting cheaper more people are asking about the F/I upgrade , maybe a kit supplied with a base tune to allow the customer to fit the kit himself ( fuel pump cradle exchange within the deal) 3. more suspension/brakes and drive-line upgrades on all the Zed models. keep an eye on here and on our face book pages, https://www.facebook.com/AbbeyMotorsportUK https://www.facebook.com/pages/Abbey-Motorsport-Ltd/106834979341445 we will have a web site upgrade soon, done by these guys, cant wait tbh http://www.revmarketing.co.uk/ thanks for the support in 2012 and hopefully see you all in 2013.
  7. The Management and Staff at Abbey Motorsport would like to forward The Seasons Greetings to all the petrolheads throughout the world! Although we are shut until the 2nd of January any urgent enquiries should be sent to either mark@abbeymotorsport.co.uk or tony@abbeymotorsport.co.uk These will be picked up on a regular basis and and responded to as necessary.
  8. How deep was the water? the tidal wave caused by the other driver must had been huge to get water into stock air filter, but even a small amount of water on the AFM will cause the car to stall. The crank trigger is nearly at the bottom of the bell housing this will get covered by water this maybe the issue as well. Get the spark plugs out , crank it over to remove any water , then refit the plugs and try the car. Any questions ask away.
  9. We tried it loads of times very hit or miss we have found. We use a EcuTek cable to turn the light off GTR EcuTek software talks to 370z Ecu.
  10. Dixon at DMS has had loads of Zeds through, and his team knows the car well. Abbey motorsport is run by a bloke who is an ex nissan mechanic who i think spcialised in Nissan performance models, also does the re maps and knows the cars well. TGM i don't know but have heard from jerry that they are good. Never heard Mark or Tony refered to a bloke who used to be a Nissan mechanic lol We have a EX Nissan main dealer tech working for us. I tune all the cars on our in house dyno and my Dad Tony builds the motors , he has over 45+ years building motors so he knows a thing or 2. Any questions ask away
  11. I agree it is a lot of money but the cars handle the bhp gain so well it says to me this is how the car should have left the factory. You can buy a 313bhp for around 9k you can use the stock ECU with very good results after being retuned with the Uprev software (Syvecs for the HR motors is more expensive than the install on the DE early cars due to twin Throttle bodies) We can also split the fitting into 2 visits to help soften the financial outlay. 1st visit exhaust/ fuel system and remap, 2nd visit supply and fit SC kit. I have just brought a HR motor to go in my early car for the Syvecs development once we have the system up and running I expect a SC or a turbo kit to find it way on the car. I am sure Andy or Peter will let you have a ride in there GTM powered cars, your definitely enjoy the ride. Any questions ask away. Mark
  12. This part I presume you mean the main bearing cap I machined to the block. You can't just fit one from another engine as it won't have been lined bored with the other main bearing caps. You will need to have the block lined bored after fitting another cap to ensure all the main bearing caps are aligned correctly.
  13. what do you need to know? Is the zed motor still in a Zed or is it fitted in another car? Either email me mark@abbeymotorsport.co.uk or ring me on 01883 732331 ext 2 Mark
  14. I have a Milltek, uPrev & Berks Gives it a deeper louder growl and a bit of a rasp Looks like that will be next job for Abbey! I find the Miltek quite subdued - although Mark was a little surprised and asked me to give it a few hundred miles to "mature" which am more than happy to do. Always a hard balance between something that has a "bit of purpose" vs something that "makes your ears bleed"! David David, I would go for the Motordyne lower collector and plenum spacer 1st. This will help with the mod range torque what the REV UP motor lacks off, the Cats really only hold the car back @ the top end where exhaust flow is needed.
  15. Hi, yes we can help you out with any work you require , I live in Reigate so it is no trouble to pick your car up as well. Give us a ring on 01883 732331ext 1 or 2 or email me on mark@abbeymotorsport.co.uk. thanks guys for mentioning Abbey
  16. welcome to the mad house. we tuned a 350Z with 100K miles on it , fitted a S/C kit , made good power, well run in I say.
  17. Nissan 350Z DE 276 BHP Syvecs kit ( REV UP AND HR will require a S8 ECU) will explain on a separate thread Syvecs S6 kit ( ECU and loom) £1920-00 inc vat Map sensor (supply and fit) £ 162-00 inc vat Dyno time to tune car £ 400-00 inc vat ( fuel/ignition map tuned, 4 levels of traction control all switched via cruise switch) Basic cruise control will be implemented early on in 2013 which we can upgrade easily. Total inc VAT £2482-00 inc vat. We can add extra safety items , if we run oil pressure/oil temperature and fuel pressure sensors we can add engine trips for all these sensor , i.e high oil temp we put the car on limp i.e low rpm limited throttle opening , same again for cold oil temp/water temp. low oil pressure at high rpm again can either be limp or totally engine cut. I will get a price for these supplied and fitted over the next couple of days. But the main gain over the Haltech will be the excellent traction control that a few people on here have seen, it is totally awesome.
  18. Ian, when was the pictures taken of Ron's car? Is it still in the same workshop as when the pictures where taken?
  19. Fit a VQ or even a VR38 they both fit.. The most famous 33 GTR I feel in the UK built by Abbey Mororsport. I have loads of stuff Ian just ask.
  20. Arran, okay thanks your the lucky chap , whats your email addy I will liaise with you with regards when we can get your car in for the work. thanks
  21. water meth runs out....not a lover of water/meth injection never seen results that people say they get when running it on my dyno. But there again change the ECU to Syvecs and then we can talk....
