Uprev special offer of £375 incl VAT
Mark@Abbey m/s replied to rob@tdi-north's topic in TDi - North
Send a email to mark@abbeymotorsport.co.uk and we can get this sorted. Paul , we aren't going to KFC..... -
It isn't a dump valve on a SC car, it's called a bypass valve, it's use is to make the cruise off of boost, even at high rpm with the throttle opened a small amount you get enough vac to open the bypass valve and stop the car producing boost so making the car more ecomical. The Vortech cars vent to atmosphere this is why they are do noisy when being cruised at small throttle openings.

Uprev price clarification for 350 and 370Z
Mark@Abbey m/s replied to rob@tdi-north's topic in TDi - North
Agree with Paul from TDI we Abbey had a load I emails saying why are we so expensive we a Uprev remap is someone is only charging £200-00 for a Uprev remap. There isn't a lot of profit in the Uprev deal as we all have expensive DYNO room set up's and the license isn't very cheap from Uprev that allows us to tune the ECU's If you want to get your car tuned else where you can buy a cable/license and get a local tuner to tune your car. Any questions ask Paul or myself. -
LSD is a viscous diff that can't be adjusted, these diff's shuffer badly from heat degradation.
-
when you have the car mapped have it mapped with the stock and HFC's fitted and have the 2 different maps loaded into the multi maps. You can have a map for both Cat set ups then.

Pete, I am afraid you wrong with bypass valve is before the Throttle body , so even if the bypass valve was stuck open it wouldnt make the car idle high as the idle speed is controlled via the fly by wire throttle. The bypass valve actually bleeds back into the intake system. It will be the ECU causing the high idle speed the reason the intercooler being so hot will be the ECU retarding the timing to try to control the high idle speed. Bypass valve is a Turbosmart valve, we carry them in stock.

We seen a Nismo already on the dyno; Also we tuned the Nissan Academy cars used for the Sony Playstion scheme @ Silverstone awesome cars seems the Nismo exhaust flow a little better than the stock 370Z system. see below dyno plot stock car fitted with HKS panel filter and a Uprev remap before and after

Stock pulley has some dampening. Yes it does upset engine balance removing the stock front pulley. We Have taken DEs apart that had lightweight crank pulley and have seen noticeably more wear than engine that have stock pulley. It's a big V6 with no timing belt to absorb valve train harmonics. If anything they should be getting proper dampers not no damper.

Its a BUSINESS no matter how many emails/PMs they get they should respond to them all, if they don't have the staff have a look down the job centre plenty of people wanting to work I reckon. I agree with the op, if nobody bothers to answer the phone or reply to an email then stuff them they don't want my business. Sorry to hear about Tony, he is a real nice guy, hope he gets well soon and although sometimes priorities are personal not business to be blunt its no excuse. Sent from the Jaaaaaag at the golf club YAAAARRRRRRRPPPPPPPPPP I am afraid I did take the eye of the ball for nearly 10 weeks , my dad was touch and go for nearly 2 weeks that he was going to even make it tbh so I am afraid Personal issues took the priority. He is getting better slowly. Time will be the best healer thou re his brain trauma. We are all back on forum with 2 extra staff members as well.

Over 8 weeks have passed since Tony my Dad had his accident , he is now home recuperating, still having Physio and therapy session but today was the 1st time he came back to the Abbey Motorsport headquarters; Made me have a tear in my eye to see him sat at his desk and in the workshop; He is getting so much better sure it wont be long before he is back in his engine building room. -
I have a person/company in mind I need to speak to the chap again hopefully on Sunday if not early next week. Company is very well known and has a good name. 1st bunch of cars I will travel up to Scotland and carry out the tuning. be in touch very soon.

whats the issue with the engine if you think you need a solenoid?
-
Sticking wastegate? Or sticking dump valve? Sticking dump valve won't make any difference to mpg as the airflow meters are after the dump valve so if the dump valves is leaking you don't get any difference on Air flow meter voltages,
