  1. Wife's tyres had plenty tread left, but at about 6 years old I thought best to change them out. Whilst there I heard the fitters saying how a lady wanted a puncture repair. They'd noticed the tread pattern was a very old design and upon checking found they were EIGHTEEN years old! She'd bought them elsewhere as part worns earlier in the year. Surely this shouldn't be allowed to happen or am I being overly paranoid about her impending doom?
  2. Car looks BETTER than new. The striping on the carpets is the icing on the cake
  3. Consider it a blessing. Better than a blow out or wrecked wheel. Hopefully it's repairable and won't cost too much to fix
  4. Wife and kids away for a couple days. An opportunity like this is very rare. She'd not be best pleased having wheels take up the kitchen floor!
  5. Seeing as I had the afternoon off all to myself I thought I'd prep my rims for the winter So I jacked up the car. Nismos off. OEM Tourings on. Washed rims. Dried. Fallout remover (IronX) Rinsed Tar remover (ValetPro) Wash and rinse. Clay. Wash and rinse. Dried with a towel and put in the kitchen awaiting bone dryness. Must be getting old as I found it a hard slog in today's heat. Then off out for drinks with the lads. Just come back and given them an IPA wipe down. Not looking too bad after being run daily for 10 years Off to bed now. Will coat them with Gtechniq C5 in the morning
  6. Oh dear.......180bhp. What is Nismo doing. My favourite part was when he says "and I love how you get the wing mirrors red detailing.....ON BOTH SIDES"
  7. Car looks showroom fresh in that pic! I too got my zed from new back in 05. We should start a thread to see how many 350z owners who bought new are still on the OC with their Zed's. People always told me how foolish I was buying new......how much depreciation I'd get hit with. Sod em all. Worth every penny. I bet seeing your zed wearing its LMGT4s and Nismo kit in glorious red paint amongst a sea of new Mercs, Audis etc makes you feel the same. Here's wishing you and your zed many more happy years together oh yeah.... HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY to her too
  8. Great location Great weather Great car What's not to like
  9. This pic really shows off the gloss that you've achieved by detailing your ride. Almost looks like you got CANDY APPLE RED!
  10. That's a cracking result. The new paint tops it off nicely really highlighting those curves on the Zed's rear
  11. These are the Nismo LMGT4 rims made by Rays. Not to be mistaken for the rims that came on the limited edition GT4 350z If I remember correctly the 19 inch Nismo rims weigh about the same as the 18 inch Touring OEM rims. Can't remember the widths but are about an inch wider on the rear compared to the fronts. Very strong wheels. I've been running them for 12 yrs over Manchester's finest potholes with no cracking or buckling
  12. I remember in the 80s, if you had 15s on your E30 BMW 325i you were a Don Can't beat the feeling of nice new shoes on your chariot though, especially a classy set of 5 spokes
  13. Sunset orange often looks a bit......well....meh But when light hits it just right BINGO!
  14. I'd not seen this before...... good heads up
  15. Damn.....that is a fine set of shoes! Hypersilver is the nuts. If I get round to refurbing the diamond cut faces on my Kia's black rims I may go for hypersilver faces on the black instead of polished. The reflections you got in your Paint in the first pic with the new rims look awesome too
  16. He's taken the term "bucket seats" to a whole new level
  17. These rims really suit the 350z. As demonstrated above.......they look sweet as, in silver
  18. Gave the zed a 2BM wash today. She had a couple little extras. Used a drying aid (Sonax BSD mixed with Chemical Guys V07 detailer) Some AG tyre dressing. Wiped on Optimum Optiseal on the rims. And a quick wipe over the exhaust tips with some Meguiars Metal Polysh. Probably my favourite part today was the tips. Nissan designed them spot on. Not only look the nuts but enough clearance under the bumper to get my hand in to wash around the tips. Enough girth to get my hand comfortably in to clean inside. So much so that a quick clean each wash is a doddle and supplemented with an occasional buff with metal polish every couple months leaves the tips factory fresh. A very enjoyable Sunday wash
